For those that have diy'd a vape case, what type of foam is used inside. This is what I am working with.

You have good taste, friend :). I have at least a dozen hemingway boxes of various gauges, as well as at least a dozen AF Don Carlos boxes lying around.

For custom foam, i haven't personally used them, but my friends who shoot precision rifle swear by them https://customdesign.mycasebuilder.com/pages/custom/sid:149

I've not made a vape case, but I have used this for my tool drawers... http://foamfittools.com/toolfoam.html

Very easy to use, and easy to see when a tool is missing. I have also used the closed cell foam from a camping pad for the same use for some thicker tools that I needed to protect. The foam was about 1/2" thick, and after cutting the layers, I put them together with 3m spray adhesive.

Thanks for the suggestions!! After hours of searching (because I didn't know the name of what I was searching for ) I finally stumbled upon a place where I didn't feel like I was being held at gun point, either by their prices or shipping charges. I picked up a sheet of the 1/4" just for a bottom layer, and 1" that will actually have the cutouts that hold the various devices.

And thanks for yours, too...I've bookmarked it...

I need to get around to doing this as well. Need some protection for my trip.

More for daily travels but, I really want one of these, but as with everything I "need", it's out of stock, lol.

I feel your pain, brother...you might check out etsy.com

I put in "leather e cigarette case", and it returned 70 items...this one caught my eye, custom made and about the same price point as the one on your link (very nice BTW)

http://www.etsy.com/listing/1657416...type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all

They also have a bunch of wooden vape stands that are beautiful as well.

My SnP arrived today. Got notification that the Sophia has shipped. I'm just going to gaze at the SnP until she arrives.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, I want to remove both inner black o-rings on the top cap and replace only the top one with one of the silicone o-rings, right?

I, personally, ran both orange rings in the top, and both browns in the bottom.
Reason: I found with one orange in the top, that Sophia could move back and forth (side to side) just a HAIR! Though it causes zero issues, it was enough to drive me bonkers! Don't judge me!

Grats on the SnP/Sophia though. Great setup!

I'll keep this in mind. I'm just OCD enough that, if that happens, it'll bug the crap out of me. Thanks.

Huh! It was a bad sulking day for me:( A -Cyber-Hyper Monday. My Wizard's Apprentice Order fell thru (like many) owing to their website glitch. However, hurried up and fetched a Provari (Black)* instead just before 12AM Had the Home Minister's pre-approval ~ thus didn't want to waste an opportunity ;)

*Had been eying it for a while ~ but Chad's lovely shots since the last few days nailed it home :)
