The Paps is a completely mechanical mod, so if it feels weaker, something has changed: the battery, the resistance value, the 510 connection of the atty, the negative post, the positive post, the spring. If the button is getting very warm, check the spring, whether it is dislocated and causes any short. You have to take apart the switch. Unscrew the holding nut by turning it clockwise, dismantle the switch and assemble it again with the spring in its proper position. Inspect also the 510 connection of your atty. Look at your battery, if the coating is peeled off somewhere.

Thanks. I've looked into everything and still can't figure it out. It might be the batteries, but the same batteries work in my vv/vw devices, so I'm at a loss. I'll just give the mod a good cleaning, and hope it works.

Thanks again.

Some pictures might help. Do you hear any battery shake? Are you sure the post on your 510 is protruded out enough?

Hey Amirite, you know what other pics might be good? A "family photo" of all your devices. Every time I see a post from you, I can help but read through all your devices.

I've made sure all the connection points have been cleaned with brass polish. I gave my mod a good thorough cleaning, rinsing, and drying, but it just isn't working.

I have no idea what it could be. Even when it was working, I'd get very inconsistent hits. Some hits would be hard, others weak. If I held down the fire button for long enough before taking a hit, I'd get more consistently hard hits, but that isn't normal right?

I've double checked all the connections, and everything is making contact. I even sanded down the positive post on my rsst. It works flawlessly on my sigelei, but it just doesn't want to work on my paps.

I initially thought it might be the coils I was wrapping, so I wasted like a meters worth of wire before I figured out it wasn't the coils. lol

I have a lux on the way, so I guess I'll at least have something to compare it to.

Oh well...

Screw down the positive post on the RSST so that its sticking out a good .5mm and try again please. It's a mechanical mod. If it fires on your sigelei, then it should fire on the Paps.

A few mods were camera shy :)

Also, are you using aw imr batteries?
You may have mentioned and Armirite eluded to this, remove your top cap. Unscrew both telescopic posts. Screw Atty in, now screw both Tele posts back in. The top/larger one should gap a bit. Now adjust the Tele that connects to battery nipple,
giggity.

How long have you owned the PAPS? There may be a short in the spring inside the switch but typically the button would warm up fast.

Edit - Perseas covered it as well, hence the title of King:)

I've screwed down the positive post on the rsst at varying lengths, so it's been jutting out anywhere from 0.5-1.5mm from the base of the 510 connector. Still nothing...

Also, are you using aw imr batteries?

I'm currently using efest imr batts. I'm gonna drop by a local shop tomorrow to pick up some aw imrs.

At this point, I'm really hopefully it's just the batteries I'm using that's causing all these problems. lol

Is there really that big a difference between efest and aw imr batts?

Do you own a volt meter?

I've never had any issues with any of my Paps firing but I've only used AW IMR's. Didn't you say it fired when you first recieved the Paps?

Hi rumthin,

a) I see that u r from the neighborhood, if u desire u could come over to my place this weekend & I could try fixing it for u.
b) I use Efest IMR 18350 Button Top in my Lux, without any issues.
c) Did u disassemble & reassemble ur Switch mechanism? There could be a disconnection of sorts there.

Give me a shout if u desire.

That's a great image. The v2.5 SS looks sexy. Images like this made me go for it today :)

I absolutely love this little guy. I think with this and my Caravela, the only other mod I want is the Silver/SS LUX. I love the look of the Bronze LUX, but I couldn't use it.

Yeah I love my SS 2.5. Picked up the LUX internal kit for it, just need the 18500 tube like in a bad way!

The holding nut's surface has to be lower from the firing pin, in other words, the firing pin must protrude slightly.
Flip the holding nut from the other side, if this isn't happening and check again.

Polisher and Brusher adaptor (PnB)

PnB adaptor is a small accessory we've designed for the people who want to brush and polish their mods with their Dremel or a device with a larger chock.

It has 2 parts, one part with male 510 connector for mods and the other part with female connector for atomizers.
It is for generic use, so we used 303 SS low grade for its construction, in order its threads to be harmless for mods and atomizers that aren't from 316 SS.

PnB adaptor is under production and soon it will be at Vapour Art Store. The photos above are from a pre production unit.
