I'd think it's the Diver's fault. Not the SnP's.
The SnP is actually the epitome of 'sealing'... look at the amount of strength those O-rings impart! I'm yet to see another carto-tank offer that sever ruggedness in it's built as well as assembly. This tank system in unique and wholesomely good. I've no, repeat 'no', issues with my SnP thru any no. of Cartos - Boges, Smoks and IKVs.
Yes, I've nearly packed-up my Diver. B'coz no matter what I do, however I built it (have done so not less than 35 times already, based on every YT video out there), it will leak. The Diver vapes great - but leaks. It's POS is a pipe-straw. Maybe it's only me, I might not be cut for it.
On the contrary, my SnP holds good with everything/anything I throw at it. It also looks sweet. So much so, that fully knowing The Killer's mood-swings I'm yet on the lookout now for purchasing one.
I think perseas is onto the root-cause - if the tank is not holding vacuum, there's a pressure leak; Draconian did state that he tested with cartos and other atomizers, so it's not necessarily diver-related.
On mine, it the o-rings engage about 1/4 turn after the apertures are exposed, but I crank it down an extra 1/8-1/4 turn until i can feel that the o-rings are sealed against the cover AND the tank cap. If it still leaks/gurgles passed the first puff, I'd investigate the obvious failure points:
inner-o-ring integrity - my diver shaved some chunks from the o-rings on the last insertion. it has some stupid-sharp edges, i may take a dremel grinder to just break the edge a bit on the next coil rebuild
tank/cap o-ring integrity - i can visually inspect how "sealed" they are against the edge of the tank - if i saw any unevenness in the press of the ring against the tank wall, i'd replace it.
top-cap o-ring integrity - is the the o-ring in good working condition, no tears, marks, grit, etc in the material?
cover cap cleanliness - the seal is only as good as the weakest link, and the in the SnP, that is most definitely the top cap. if the material is dirty, gritty, brushed, scratched, etc., i'd wash it off if possible or get an exchange from perseas. if the surface isn't smooth and flush, there's no way that it will hold any kind of vacuum, even on 100% VG.
let us know if any of the above is happening with yours - hope this helps!
