I was a busy bee last night. Not only did I finally tame my Ithaka, I found the perfect (for me) configuration for my Spheroids.

The only Ekowool hat I like in these is the 2mm. I've found the 2mm is the best Ekowool in multiple devices - Spheroid, Diver, Ithaka, eBDP. It is not too thick to be usable, like the 3mm, and gives tons more vapor and flavor than the smaller varieties. One man's experience, of course.

Two strands of 2mm Ekowool, 32g A-1 Kanthal running at 1.4-1.5 ohms, large gaps between the coil loops, wicks trimmed down a bit more than I had them before (I think I had them a bit too long, they were impeding airflow a bit).

One of my top juices is Mewlew's Magic Blend from VCV, and I am very familiar with it in many devices. The Spheroid in this configuration really brings out an intense chocolate flavor that is very muted otherwise.

I am becoming more convinced as I find my sweet spot with all these devices that I will end up marrying specific devices to specific juices and configurations. With every one of my favorite juices, it seems like one device in one configuration blows away all other devices and configurations.

I'm very glad I have picked up 2 Spheroids, because 2 of my top 5 juices vape best in them with the above-noted configuration.

I might mess around with other wick materials in the future, but I have been in tinkering overdrive for many weeks, and I wouldn't mind slowing down and enjoying some vaping for a while, now that I've optimized most of this gear for my use.

Thanks, read all of that, but was wondering if it's BETTER than what I have in my SS.

In all likelihood, under the usual vape circumstances, u'd not notice any difference between the two. Except that u'd not need to clean the internal contacts for a long-long-long time...

What's the best way to clean the brass contacts? Do I need to clean both the battery side and the side that makes contact with the atty?

I used Flitz to clean up my brass.

Guess this would be perfect then. Remove brass center post and bottom nut, rub in cloth, reinstall.

I just use some metal polish on solid brass, then give it a tiny bit of Noalox to inhibit oxidation.

You must of missed our Naolox discussion. the consensus is that Naolox is not worth the mess. But, again subjective thought is how we learn the best with open minds. Many as myself, will just clean the contacts as it takes less than a minute to do so.

I have a full bottle of Naolox and am happy to give it away to someone that likes cleaning the shti up before they clean their contacts.
:) Seriously am happy to mail it off for free before it hits the trash as I will never use it.
I also do not recommend using it in the switch of any GP as when it penetrates the lock ring threads it will not allow the ring to operate smoothly and/or flick to lock and unlock.
