I have no problem with clones. If you have a problem with a clone then toss out every piece of electronics you own, plus probably everything else in your home.

What I have a problem with are "replicas". Blatantly stealing another's work and selling it as your own for a profit. Sure, these clones are ripoffs, but they are what they are....cheaper/more affordable versions of the original, but with the tradeoff of quality/appearance. Hell, every genesis available are clones of each other. Now, when said clone crosses the bridge to a replica, stealing design (functionally and aesthetically)....then I have a problem. Stealing someone's work is wrong....period. Taking a general idea of someone and expanding on it (be that making it better or cheaper by sacrificing features) is a grey area that we all have to embrace or else everything invented would be a monopoly-type item and there'd be no pricing competition or reason to progress to make your item better than the competition.

..Sent from the vape lair..
I don't think anyone's intent was to cause alarm or debate the delicate subject. Fact, mine wasn't. Just intend to emphasise my and others regard and love for Perseas, George, GP Team and the Spheroid. And, many of us here do, it is easy to do for most of us.
As, we were simply talking about a Spheroid copy and the purchase of. I apologize if the post was misleading.
With respect to you, I feel this is not the venue for your above discussion.
Back to what brought us here together....GP :)

On a side note. Had my paps 2.5 since July maybe? Never gave it a good clean in the contact area (have a clear jwrap on the tubes). I just got some Sunshine Polishing Cloths off eBay. My button was badly tarnished to the point I thought the sheen was gone forever. Nope! A few quick rubs (no jokes Idaho!) and it's back to shiny lovely GP gold mirror finish!!! It's hitting like new again and making me cough!!! It feels new again. I just love these things. I am missing my X though. It's in the mail to Alon at Jwraps so he can get a template made to make me some clear wraps to protect it further. I can't vouch enough for how good a guy he is. And he says he will soon be a GP member as well. I was emailing back and forth with him a few times gushing over my mods and he is waiting on more to come in stock to purchase his own.

If you are interested for a paps 2.5 I suggest getting the Lux version. I don't know why he has 2 different ones but that's the one you want.

EDIT: Just checked the site. The "Paps" version looks like it is just a 18650 wrap. With the "Lux" one, it has BOTH the 18350 AND 18650 tube wrap, and also a little one for that beautiful button.

On another note, I understand the Jwraps concept, just not for me. I want to feel the mod finish and want nothing separating that. Especially with a Lux. The beautiful patina. I have a couple Lux aside by side and have been using them both quite a bit lately. The character of each are amazing. They patina slowly, unlike many that get so dark so soon. These are like sunsets, every day they change ever so slightly.
A Jwrap on an X, PAPS or PAPS Lux would destroy it for me. The metal finishes feel so nice from a milky smoth to a silk finishand they feel so nice in the hand and those guys worked hours on them for me to hold.
imo Jwraps were always to dress up Provari's or hide the Ghost Modder tube someone was using
Honestly glad you like them though Woodcutter!

... I don't understand why anyone would want a cloned version but here it is...
Yes, this is the device I meant - it's not much cheaper though - I think the target customer doesn't know anything about PG ... shame on them  and maybe they should try to get a screw later on for that thingi - then they will know what customer support ist... but whatever: thanks to Perseas once more for building great devices in the highest possible quality standards :2cool:
