Wow, that's bad luck chadsmo. I did similar to a kayfun, got the clear tank all twisted and crossed up, it was a nightmare to get off. Some boiling water helped and these little bad boys

Only a couple of dollars but worth their weight in gold for stuck stuff. My gf has arthritis in her hands and she has a set too in the kitchen which help her loads! They have saved me putting more tool marks all over my kit!

To my fellow Canadian GP and Grants enthusiasts on here:

I recently ordered directly from Grants and my order was stopped by customs. I lost 4 bottles. I just ordered from Vapour Art a bottle with my hardware and it made it through. This is a good thing and a bad thing.

Bad because as a first time Grants user I am realising that I like it as much as my other favourite, Mothers Milk and I'll want to replenish this as often as I can. My concern is the label leaves no room for interpretation. It clearly states nicotine and even warns against nicotine. If customs looks at it they wouldn't have to guess and they would stop the delivery.

So my question to the fellow Canadians who are passionate of Grants, how many times have you ordered, what quantity each time and how often have you been stopped? Also are you only ordering it from Vapour Ant or are you also ordering from Grants?

For the non-Canadians that might not be familiar with Canadian import challenges. We are not allowed to buy juice with nicotine and customs will stop it from entering the country, if they catch it. There is not an actual law but Health Canada has imposed this restriction without it actually being illegal. I have only had my shipment stopped once but none of the other vendors had labels that were so clearly ejuice with nicotine.

DHL headquarters in Germany came up recently with strict limitations about the packing, the quantity and the level of nicotine that can be shipped anywhere and it must be clearly labeled as dangerous toxic asking additionally for a ton of docs. UPS in UK simply denies the transport. Nine orders from the last batch were sent back for new packing in order to be shipped to their destinations. From their point of view, they are right, nicotine is indeed dangerous from a concentration level and above. There are universally agreed rules about what can be transported in general and when a country forbids the nicotine based liquids completely for its retail market, then any random inspection in the customs, demands the destruction of the shipment.
It is always the same story, the freedom for an educated choice is controlled for the sake of our safety. Nothing can be changed, when the whole infrastructure is money driven and universally conformed to the fine print of the law and not decentralised and accounting to the local society's level of awareness. History teaches that Idiocracy rules, because every law bents when the objection is massive and almost all of them were made due to the general lack of awareness.

I believe that Internet will be proved to be the last important technocratic invention, because it provides for the first time, an equal chance for free global communication and knowledge sharing, while its nature cannot be controlled completely and this is a good omen for the future!

There is no limit for idiocy.

Idiocy is the correct term, but the Idiocracy movie of 2006 illustrates many tragicomic adventures of humanity happening in a future time and the fact that the promotion devalued this movie is not accidental. The critical moment for the control of any society, comes when people start to admit that they have being stupid from the beginning and they have to blame only themselves for that situation. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Despite all its strengths, "Idiocracy" has the distinct feel of a movie that was taken away from the director/editor before it could be fine-tuned.

I cannot for the life of me understand why a movie this funny would just be dumped into a few theaters with no advanced screenings, no trailers, no marketing whatsoever.

It's as if the studio decided they were not going to spend any more on it and just walked away.

Or maybe they thought the movie had the makings of a cult classic, and the only way for it to become a true cult classic was to set it up to fail?

Whatever the case, it is a shame, because Mike Judge and this film in particular deserve better.

I predict this movie will have real legs on DVD, and word of mouth will propel it to the success it deserves.

Perhaps the Fox Executives saw themselves in the characters, were confused, and thought it was a documentary?

Great words perseas!

Indeed the internet does appear to be our last bastion of hope, in this world ruled by the self serving corporations. If not for the internet would any of us know what was really going on in Syria, Libya etc etc, and that's just the big stuff. Best thing is it cant be stopped, god knows governments have tried.

Don't let the .......s grind you down!!!:headbang:

You are quite welcome here and thank you very much for your appreciation!

As you can see, we discuss freely about everything, GP mods included :D

The GP family here is wonderful people, stick around and you'll know them better!

The Heron will be happy with SS GP PAPS as well. The new Lux will come out next year.

+1

In Italy, 3 days ago during a demonstration against government measures and impotent politics, riot police understood the gravity of actual Italian situation and decided to follow the people and be in front with them. In my country the media were silent about it, but Italy is our neighbor. Police sided with the people, we saw it in Germany last year, Egypt, Thailand recently and now in Italy. The hundredth monkey is coming.

GP PAPS v3 in SS and Lux Edition, redesigned switch, redesigned top cap with GPin and redesigned tube without air vents.

I like that idea a lot, I presume you will be selling the new top caps as an upgrade for us v2.5/2.1 owners in time?

That GPin looks like a totally genius solution, as you say this has been around a long while in other applications.

Any clues where you are going with the Paps switch?

Yes, we are going to have available top caps compatible with the previous versions. The switch v3 embodies now the vent holes. Changes have been made to the button, to the housing of the switch and it'll have a reverse locking ring. We're working to make the switches compatible with the previous versions for the time being, while we've increased the precision of the machining.

...And the Piccolo-LUX? Pls don't forget that (in "Classic" version)!

Piccolo Classic (though I've a problematic switch). I can't live without these two ;)

The crew over at Domo are awesome! I received an email from them yesterday offering up one of the "denied" purchased GP X's. I thought about it for half a second...

It will be on the way today!

I can't wait!

Thanks again to Blake and the Domo team. This was unexpected and much appreciated!

Soon it will be in my hands!

You guys are all bad influences on me. :D

Next on the list. Heron.

Will the Kick2 work with the Paps 3.0? Will the Paps 3.0 have that inner groove after the threading in the tube? I found that to be like a blackhole for my Kick2 as it was hard to get it out.

We've noticed that too, it won't have it this groove, and because Kick2 came recently in the market, we adjusted the next version.

I think i get what you're saying , wiggle it apart rather than unscrew it. I'll wait for Yankee to reply. Thanks jojo

Chad. Take the tank apart very carefully. You have to be able to see the threads of Sophia. If it took a hit like Jojo's, it will look severely cross threaded between the tube and the base. Looking at it from the side, it will be on crooked.
See an exaggerated photo below. This is higher because obviously I intentionally angled it.

You need to NOT screw or unscrew. But firmly grab the base in one hand and the tube in the other and SNAP in the direction of the wider gap without turning. Unscrewing forces threads to try to work and crossed. Snapping you're basically trying to jump the threads quickly. This actually causes less damage than forcing all threads to turn against each other.

Once straight, just gently turn in each direction a few times to see if and where you get rough catches and work them loose.
Hope this works.
