No - got sucked into going up the CN Tower (waste with the weather) and that nice sports bar next to the Maple Leafs. Was nice to finally see part of Canada, Tim's coffee was pretty good!

I'll be back in six months and look to have a vape with you. :vapor:

I look forward to it ;)

I prefer my carto without stds lol but cool thank you for reply. I haven't seen one before so I thought I would learn. Seems as if most people use diver in them, any reason?

Simply put, because the vape you get from a Diver / Killer 705 / Sofia is way better than any carto you can buy.

OK I just want to say this..

I got a package from a member here yesterday morning.. xtreme101 sold me a 18350 Paps LUX v2.5... I don't even know how to put this thing into words.. I ordered an 18650 SS Tube from Domo the night I paid xtreme101, and they both showed up yesterday. I have been using thing in 650 mode for the most part but my god..

I have 8 mech mods, and this is on just another level. The button on this thing is stupid good. Like, this has just wow. I am just blown away by how nice this looks with a Kayfun sitting on it.

My only issue is I am afraid to leave the house with it LOL. First day I got my nemesis I dropped it in the driveway. I wanted to die lol. So this one may be a home only mod, but I am ok with that. It is just too nice to risk having as a beater out to work and out and about mod.

One of my buddies who has been vaping for years came over and checked it out, he is all into mechs and RBA's. He is of the same conclusion that this thing is just fantastic.

Now I see why this thread is so long!!!

Ok I'm not that familiar with the advanced carto as I only started out with junk smok ones then didn't like and went to kayfun. So what's the diver like?

Q!!!???.......

He has a big post that he always puts up when someone asks that question lol.

All three of those devices are basically shaped like a standard carto, but they come apart in the middle. Inside is a small ceramic cup that you build your wick in. The Diver has slots cut in the side where your juice comes in to contact with the wicks , but no juice control they are just always open.

The Sofia is very similar in design but it has juice flow control because instead of slots cut in the sides you simple unscrew the top from the bottom once it's in your tank. I have not used a Diver but I love my Sofia.

ΣΟΦΙΑ Repairable atomizer for tank

Chad,
thanks for the heads up on those. I wasn't trying to be a pain just wanted to learn if it was worth it to try one. The sophia looks pretty cool and much simpler yet obviously more advanced than standard cartos. If that makes sense. The diver looks interesting too but not sure which i like better. How do they perform flavor/vapor wise compared to rebuildable tank systems?

I've never owned or used a kick before and was thinking I might grab a kick 2 at some point in the next month here. Question though , as I'm not really familiar with them, does an 18350 and a kick 2 equal an 18500? Or do you need a spacer of some kind in there. I'm basically pondering if I'll be able to use a 350 with a kick 2 in the PAPS with a Heron on top.

Yes, and an 18500 + kick = 18650.

okay... so I can just barely get a 1.2mm drill bit through the center air hole on the base of my Spheroid so I think everything is to spec. (Thanks Perseas!) I'm going to stop working on the draw, for now, and try to get used to it before permanently altering it...

I have a question for you guys using cotton wick. How do you guys deal with the (very scientific term, here) floppiness of your wicks?

I've tried many builds and by far the best ones are my microcoil with cotton setup but the wicks eventually end up getting sucked into the belland eventually both blocks airflow and stops wicking.

I've even tried a 2mm coil thinking that more wick would be more rigid but it's a no go (see pics below)

Here's the original...

...and here it is after five or six puffs ..

Right now I am making do with a bit of 2mm silica through my coil. It's just okay and not anywhere near as good in taste as my cotton ...

I use a bit more cotton...what happens is that it crawls up the sides of the tank to reach the fluff...hope this helps :)
