batteries of the same mfg and size will often have a variance in size as well, hence the beauty of the GPin.

Ello All! :)

^^^ what he said. You ever notice how you change batteries, and it's the same maker and size, and scratch your head on why you have to adjust a pin because the freshly charged one seems to rattle some? Tolerance. Now the tolerance between brands will likely be even greater.

Just got my order! Thank you Perseas and Team GP :)
@ Perseas - quick question: are the threads of the Paps X covered in Noalox? I remember reading before that all GP mods and atties should be washed before fist use? Is this correct?

Will have to pull out the camera with a shallow depth of field lens for pics a bit later today - need an avatar :)

@chadsmo - bad news for efest 18350 and 18500 button top batts and Paps X - they will not fit - there will be a gap between the cap and extension - will try the efest 18490 when I get home.

Hey Rod, All GP is given an ultrasonic bath before shipment. Noalox is not put on the threads as it is not needed. Nolalox is as much of a thing of the past as the wooden wheel imo. Yankeestud is right, that stuff is a mess. If needed on any tubes use a dab of Vaseline on the threads.
As I have mentioned in many places, the threads on the X are incredible. This is how I have described them in the past, "The only way I can describe the threading is that they have a smooth hydraulic feel. The threads are dry as a bone yet it the tolerance of the threads and the weight of the sections make it feel like they are oiled in 30wt oil, buttery smooth and the best on the market."
Oh, GP has always recommended the use of AW batteries in their devices. :)

We lubricate with vaseline the threads of the GP PAPS X, when we send them for first time to protect them from sudden temperature changes during travel by air, because the tolerance of the moving parts is only 0,01- 0,02 mm.

We recommend the AW IMR batteries, because they have more consistent production and better efficiency, compared with the IMR EFEST 18350-500-650. We checked the EFEST IMR v2 in18350-500-650 size with button top and they fit fine, but we have also heard that this isn't the case for all the EFEST batteries.

My order is on the way for my PAP X and Spheroids. I've had 3 day shipping to Mexico in the past so here's hoping they are here
Friday!

My order was picked up while I was sleeping last night. If it makes in three days I'll be rocking a PAPS X with an Origen on top at the pub this weekend. I hope that's the case because somehow waiting through the weekend for vape mail when you know you've only missed it by a day is so much harder than normal waits.
