You should see the photo of his bathroom collection. He has everything at his disposal for vooping.

Just to make it clear, cell phones, mods to include anything vape related, books, food, tv, gardening tools, tig welders, friends, sheep, stray animals, shop tools, pillows, furniture and more are absolutely banned from any of the bathrooms in our home. Even the thought makes me shutter with disgust :).

^^^ what he said. You ever notice how you change batteries, and it's the same maker and size, and scratch your head on why you have to adjust a pin because the freshly charged one seems to rattle some? Tolerance. Now the tolerance between brands will likely be even greater.

Oh yeah, absolutely.

Even GPin does not help with the size of the Efest 18500.

However, the 18490 Efests work just fine :D
I am glad my man. You are in biz now!
As I mentioned in a previous post a couple days ago in a conversation on batteries, look to replace those efests with a bit better quality when the time comes. There are many things in life when quality prevails and you get what you pay for.

Hey Rod, All GP is given an ultrasonic bath before shipment. Noalox is not put on the threads as it is not needed. Nolalox is as much of a thing of the past as the wooden wheel imo. Yankeestud is right, that stuff is a mess. If needed on any tubes use a dab of Vaseline on the threads.
As I have mentioned in many places, the threads on the X are incredible. This is how I have described them in the past, "The only way I can describe the threading is that they have a smooth hydraulic feel. The threads are dry as a bone yet it the tolerance of the threads and the weight of the sections make it feel like they are oiled in 30wt oil, buttery smooth and the best on the market."
Oh, GP has always recommended the use of AW batteries in their devices. :)

It definitely has some sort of a grease on the threads, it may actually be vaseline, don't know - will give the whole thing a scrub with water and a tooth brush. BTW, when you use an ultrasonic, do you just use water or some sort of a cleaning liquid? Anyway, regardless, Paps X is a divine piece of equipment - really awesome :D

I always clean my new hardware in my ultrasonic, hot water, and a few drops of dishwashing liquid, like Dawn. I put everything in the UC basket, and give it a rinse afterwards. When I dump out the water in the UC, it's always a little gray, and the paper towel I use to wipe it out is always gray as well.

Another +1 for Lighthound. John is a good guy and runs the business well. I've done business there for 7 years.

Also, while you are there, check out NyoGel. I still haven't figured out why the e-cig industry still uses Noalox :p Vapers need to look at the other industry that has been making metal tubes to hold batteries for nearly 4 decades and learn a thing or two.

We lubricate with vaseline the threads of the GP PAPS X, when we send them for first time to protect them from sudden temperature changes during travel by air, because the tolerance of the moving parts is only 0,01- 0,02 mm.

We recommend the AW IMR batteries, because they have more consistent production and better efficiency, compared with the IMR EFEST 18350-500-650. We checked the EFEST IMR v2 in18350-500-650 size with button top and they fit fine, but we have also heard that this isn't the case for all the EFEST batteries.

Ye ask, and ye shall receive an answer :)

There it is - Vaseline :)

Thank you Perseas.

The Efest 18490s do work, the 18350 and 18500 definitely do not work :)

I do have some AW IMR 18350s and will get some AW 18500s in a bit.

Now, to take some pictures and set up the Spheroid :) I'm like a kid on Christmas :D :D :D   :w00t:

Couldn't agree more. Replacing my Efest's was an excellent decision and I couldn't be happier I did. I'm now running Sony 30 amp VTC4's in my mechs and AW IMR's in my regulated devices. Fantastic quality batteries that hold a charge like they should and don't dent in on the bottom just by tightening them up in a mech to eliminate battery rattle *looks at efest*

One of my dogs specifically waits for me to go to the bathroom and follows me there because he knows that I don't have a choice but to pet him while I'm in there, nowhere to go really..... :|

Don't get my ultrasonic until tomorrow, will give it a bath tomorrow. Do you drop the switch and the pins in there too?

Yep...I usually let everything dry overnight before I reassemble. If you feel comfortable disassembling the switch, it will dry faster. On my PAPS, SS and LUX, the nut on the inside is reverse threaded. Probably on the X, as well...someone who has one will chime in, I'm sure.

Those VTC4s are great eh. They seem to hold at 3.8v forever.
