Don't think it matters but, I always move my coil over the airhole. In a few pics I moved it back to show the relationship of the whole pic and to get a bit of depth of possible.
Spread the wick out so the walls of the tank hold the wick up.
Cotton is a pita sometimes as when wet it gets limp....
what?

If you have no ecowool and aren't eating granola chained to a tree lol, I can happily send you some 2mm. It is my favorite although I am using cotton in a couple Spheroids now. And GP fluff if needed.

I'm good on fluff, ordered 2 with the spheroid. I'll rebuild my coil in the morning (for less ohms) and change the direction of it. Trial and error.. I'm learning. Not against ecowool (OK farmers), but I want to make the cotton work. Really it is working, just tight draw.

I actually went to cotton ball cotton in one of my Spheroids just last night. I seemed to be having wicking issues. The fluff seemed to be having trouble "letting go" of the juice. The fluff is GP fluff (thanks, Idaho) at the recommended dimensions, and fairly new. Still an issue after rinsing and rejuicing. I trimmed off about a quarter of an inch of fluff, and rewicked with cotton. BAM! Great wicking, and, I think better flavor. Gone through about half a tank, and no problems with wicking anymore.

Where is the fluff in relation to the bell? Mine is usually just a tad shorter.

When I say I trimmed off a quarter of an inch, I meant parallel with the bell, not perpendicular. My fluff is about even with the end of the bell...

...if the position of my fluff is of any concern to you... :)

Totally off topic (do we have a topic here …?) , randomly grabbed this at the beer store before I came home. I havnt opened it yet , but i'm pretty excited.

A comment from the Beer Advocate review page:

The licorice is in your face along with a rich black strap molasses flavour, cold pressed coffee along with more subtle roasty flavours bring up the rear, make no mistake this is a big boy beer with big boy flavours

That.. I just.. That sounds amazing.

So who here use's a kick, I ordered one but running a .8 ohm 1/16 micro coil in the X I really don't see the need for it, it hits like a freight train.. Just put the v3 kit in the spheroid image.jpg

Very nice! Ive never felt the need for a kick or a regulated device. I can build my coil to however I want it to vape. Good enough for me :)

All three of my Spheroids look like this when I open them up:

20140126_014912.jpg

That's two strands of SnC through a 5/64" microcoil. This one is from 5 Pawns Castle Long (50/50), my others are GVC high VG and BVCC high VG.

Fluff is about even with the bell bottom (no pun intended).

I never have an issue with my wick standing up into the fluff. (no pun intended)

I tend to prefer slightly more fluff than most in the Spheroid. (for God's sake, no pun intended)

You're probably right. I am just a sucker for gadgets and gear. The jig comes standard with 2 mandrels, they are .055" & 1/16". If you prefer a larger size he can modify it to your specification or just add additional size mandrels for a few cents extra.

Do I think it's worthwhile? Probably not. But was it easy as hell to get 5 coils whipped up? Yup. I used a 1/16 nail fine before this but it almost adds another finger or even hand during coiling.
X when you get yours you'll see what I mean. Those that have one will also understand.

After installing the v3 kit I did use the 2.5mm shank of a hex driver I carry for another atomizer. A full piece loop of SnC fits through nicely.

Did a refill and the wick is still nicely in place. Yay!

Just need my micro stick to ship!
Glad you got it working
Absolutely, wrapping a tight stacked coil in 6 seconds without having to heat out hop pin a drill bit to compress is awesome. Put the coil right on the atty and heat it up and squeeze it gently if needed.
The stability is nice as well as improved visibility to stack coils perfect.
It's not a need but neither are wire joiners, 6 bay battery chargers, mod stands, etc..
It just compliments our vaping lifestyle.
No one sees the need until they use one. Hence his stock situation. I already know of two other companies racing to Patten theirs.
Love it.

This talk lately about Darkzero's Jig and I just happened to stumble across something. It looks like someone is taking his idea and trying to patent it (it says patent pending anyway) QVapes Coiler | Congrevape

Pretty dirty.

Ive seen this, nice that its easy to change rods.
All these jigs need thumbscrews to make the process even easier.

May have to get the darkzero jig to see what its, all about. I will change the screw to thumbscrew though

Just read your post over there and thought I may have one in the shop. If not they will be easy to find.
