LMFAO That made me laugh even harder, even though i'm sure it wasn't meant to.

Glad I was here to entertain!

I thought the same thing. Instead of trying to adjust the draw with power tools, it took me almost three weeks to get used to the kind of puff I'd need to take with the Spheroid. After awhile I just didn't want to risk changing the taste for an airier draw.

Single strand of PnC through a 2mm coil works better for me than the same coil with a two-strand loop pulled through it.

Thanks! Definitely trying this today.

Ok, got the spheroid re-coiled. 2mm micro, 2.0 ohm. Set the coil horizontal, no loop, full strand PnC. Also figured out that my Provari doesn't leave much air flow for the spheroid so I'm using an ego batt until my MS comes in. Much better! Thanks for all the help!

Bridget glad it's getting better...I hope to try and rewick mine today as I want to change flavors. We'll see have about three days worth of things to get done in one:laugh:

I have the same issue in 350 mode with kick2.. I get about a mm or two gap when I use the gpin. Going to try 490 next...

I really like the GP vase dt. It goes so well with the spheroid/X combo. :D

Now all I have to do is switch my V2 to a V3. I've got the parts... Just need to finish this bottle of GVC... :)

Trim a bit the spare spring, put it inside the GPin and you'll be fine.

Two questions?

First, is "fluff" a code-word?

And, more importantly, what is the *best* size Kanthal to get? Or, do I need to buy multiple sizes? I see people using '28', '30', and 32' all the time? How do I tell what size to use when building a coil?

The name fluff has been coined by a dear lady from the VW forum :)
There is no best size, all is relative to your personal taste, resistance value, type of coil and correct measurements. The latter can be checked with a cheap multimeter before the setup, or by using references of the Ω per meter value which is different for nichrome, Kanthal wires and it depends on the thickness among other things. Generally, the thicker the wire, the hotter is the vapour, while the 28 size is a common average size for micro coils.

Yep, the Provari makes a lot of atty's with 510 airholes very tight. I purchased a Hippo v2 from Atmistique. It's about $40, and worth every penny IMO. Basically allows you to perfectly control the airflow on the Provari. Don't be fooled by those cheap airflow controls that are about $5 at many sites, they will only restrict flow, not open it.

I do see they are out of stock at both atmistique, and at vaperev. Here's the link to atmistique, to get a better look at it.

Thanks for that but I think I'll wait for the MS, as that's what I bought the spheroid for. If I understand correctly the MS leaves some space at the bottom for airflow.

Fluff is just what we call the material that holds the juice in the Spheroid. It's the same material that is used in aquarium filters, google Sera wool filter. The GP Fluff is extremely similar to that but just much better.

As for kanthal , my personal recommendation would be to get some 30 and 28 and play around with them. I personally use 30 almost exclusively.

Remember the lower the gauge number the thicker the wire is and the less resistance it will have. The thicker wire also tends to produce a more full flavor and better vapour as there is more surface area on the wire for the juice to come in to contact with.

This is exactly what I did with my spare spring for my EFEST. I used the stone grinding wheel bit for my dremel and it worked like a charm. I actually took a tiny bit too much off , so I can only use that spring with the EFEST but it works great with those.

I am running my Spheroid on my ProVari as I type this, and I've yet to experience airflow problems. My wife uses her Spheroid on her ProVari exclusively.

For wire, use what you feel is best. I've tried 32g, and found that to be too flimsy. I am currently bouncing back and for between 28g and 30g, which I tend to favor the 30g more. 28g seemed slow to me, and altered the taste on one of my ADVs. How? Who knows?

In other news, I pulled the GVC off the shelf today. Filled up the Spheroid, and vaped!

Uhm WOW! Totally different than the first time. It must've been the 24mG that ruined it for me. I'm vaping this @ 18mG, and I'm in love! I'm already staring at my 100mL bottle thinking that's not going to be enough.

I also use the spheroid on the provari as does my wife, she prefers a very airy draw so it did take some getting used too, I think a lot has to do with the way you get the wick positioned in it. Though I'm really enjoying the spheroid with a .8 on the X ATM.
As for wire I use 28g for .8 -1.2 ohm builds and 30g for any thing over that. Usually 1/16 micro in either instance.
