Exactly. I personally love the draw on the Spheroid and probably wouldn't open it up more if I could. For me my Spheroid is the perfect relaxing on the couch at nighttime atty. For a while I really wanted a pipe for it for that very reason. Maybe in the future.

I think that it's great the way it is and I have mostly KFLs, which are pretty airy.

But if afc can be worked into the Spheroid, team GP will figure out how :)

Only have this in taifun, my kayfuns are fine.
Just build new coil again at 1,6 and try again
Sounds like the juice is warming up in the chimney base and recycling back into the tank. Possibly from over wicking and close to flooding. If you blow into the drip tip and juice exits the airhole than there is too much juice in the juice well. The sugars in GVC will cause the juice to crystallize and brown when cooking, more so than most juices. Not sure if you are micro coiling but, here is a great set up with no juice.
Ive posted this and it is built with 1 full piece of SnP cotton yarn through micro and 2 strands of the yarn laying on top to control too much juice.

....or your chimney base is getting hot and darkening the juice outside of it. This happens when I chain vape a tank in any atomizer with an air chamber(chimney)

Perhaps you missed it yesterday when he slipped 'SnP V2' in to a post …
saw that, too - just curious what the differences will be - no 45mm, I guess :p

Despite that fact that I'm a 64-year-old grandmother, I'm a huge Tool fan and generally go to see them when they're in Australia. At the most recent concert (last year? or maybe the year before - age is a terrible thing), a very sweet 20-something girl came up to me and asked if I was lost or needed help :D Given security was tight and there was no way I could have gotten in without a ticket, it was a funny question, but it was lovely of her to be concerned. I did point out that Maynard is nearly 50 :)

My older son occasionally does sound engineering for a local metal pub band. If they need to do a bit of sampling, it's my music collection they go to, not my son's.

Moving slightly away from metal, the fact that you're Canadian got me thinking about The Tea Party. I once drove for five hours each way to pick up someone and go to one of their gigs north of Sydney :)

:D great, I never managed to see Tool up to now :(

I've been at the DreamTheater concert in Vienna last week - wow, tough guys  - and got my problems with the security staff, I forgot to remove my leatherman from my belt before the concert, was taken away by them - but they let me keep my Paps & SnP (V1 ;)) & Sophia, after explaining and demonstrating what this thing is for :p

I saw Dream Theatre a few years ago. I was there for Opeth and my friend was there for Dream Theatre. We were in the front row balcony and they lived up to their name cause I fell asleep and had an hour long nap during their set lol.

As for the SnP;

My guess for one change on the SnP V2 is the cap design. Not because they're bad or anything like that , as we all know the tank is beautiful and the best tank on the market by a lot. The one thing people always want is the ability to have 22 and 23mm caps and just one tank, but with the current design this isn't possible and I totally understand why. I'm guessing with the V2 you'll be able to use both cap types assuming there are still multiple choices.

The changes will be discussed in the topic I will open for the GP SnP. The ability to have 22 mm and 23 mm covers and just one tank is possible already, if the client puts a note inside his order about it, so we can match the covers with the caps a priori.

When do you open the topic Perseas? ;)

There's got to be some Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss fans in here too. There's always time for stoner/desert rock.

I've seen Queens idk 8 or 9 times.. Never had the chance to see Kyuss. I was in a band in that genre for some time a number of years ago. We were playing in New Orleans at Checkpoint Charlie's one night. Eagles of Death Metal had played across town at the House of Blues. Mid set in walks in Josh Homme. It was rather nerve wracking playing in front of that dude lol.

I guess I am missing the need for afc on the spheroid. Many I talk to feel the same. If anything, maybe an adjustable post(such as the Kayfun lite has on the bottom) or airhole on the outside base. But...the spheroid is a great change from dripper draw to me. My spheroids have nice airflow. Maybe for the lung hitters?

Spheroids are definitely tighter draw. But you get to notice that distinctively only when coming back from vaping a K'fun type overtly loose drawn atty. Vaping at a stretch I find my Spheroids perfect... I've no issues with them... nothing seriously need changing. Heck, I've not even fetched their v3 (or whatever they are called) kits! Thumb nuts go well with me ;)

However, if something needs to be done, not warranted - but if Perseas has to, then I'm with idaho and would like to see the following changes on the Spheroid:
1. Terminal posts with a 'hole' to insert the coil ends,
2. Airhole in the side of the base, and not on the 510 post,
3. Adjustable +ve pin at the 510 end,
4. An optional PMMA tank tube (as Kir Fanis makes),
5. Optional SS tubes with 'SPHEROID' etched/engraved.
6. A stubby Driptip especially made for the Spheroid (like the Zalaros of Kir Fanis, but with 'GP' etched).
--------------------------------------------
What I don't want to see changing: The "dome shaped" top. It should never go IMHO. B'coz this makes the Spheroid distinct. I love it and thus also wanted this bell-top on the Heron.
--------------------------------------------
I don't think an AFC would be possible without marring the form factor. Remember the spheroid is essentially designed for the Piccolo, a 16mm device. Adding a ring over it would at least take it to 17mm, and we wouldn't want the deck size to reduce.

The Spheroid is the one atty with which I have never had to think about the draw. Of course, everyone has different preferences, but it seems like this falls smack in my sweet spot on any mod - justGG, Super-T PS 14400, Microstick, Lux, Provari without Hippo.

I started vaping again recently and was previously a paps 2.5 owner. I had a lot of issues with burred threads and went through a few sets of buttons and top caps trying to get a set that wasn't messed up. I eventually sold all my gear because I was sick of dealing with it and vaping in general. I am looking into mechs again and the paps x has caught my eye, but im worried about quality control. So, how are these threads?
