I started vaping again recently and was previously a paps 2.5 owner. I had a lot of issues with burred threads and went through a few sets of buttons and top caps trying to get a set that wasn't messed up. I eventually sold all my gear because I was sick of dealing with it and vaping in general. I am looking into mechs again and the paps x has caught my eye, but im worried about quality control. So, how are these threads?

Easily the best threads I have ever experienced on any mechanical mod I have ever owned. I have been buying high end mechanicals for over 2 years, and have owned quite a few, so that says quite a bit.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Plus I'm very particular on my switches, and there is only one that's not GP that I actually like. GP has the best switches in the business.

Hello buddy,

I checked our database to find any issue with your mod, but I didn't find your order, perhaps because we missed some emails during a server upgrade. I'd be glad to support you in case you have received any mod from us with poor quality control. I recall that we have discussed in the past, but I cannot find any mail or pm. Can you please remind me the case?

The threading of the X is indeed superior from anything we have done till now.

I opened up the draw a bit on both my spheroids, but I wouldn't want it anywhere near dripper draw. Maybe HF Dripper... :D

Stock was just a bit too tight for me, I drilled out the 510 post holes just a bit, made a world of difference for me.

Do you recall what size you drilled the 510 holes to? My wife likes airy draw and she finds her spheroid a little tight also....

Regarding the Spheroid airflow of 1.2-1.25mm.. for me it's the perfect draw. Wouldn't want it to be more or less.
If I want more vaper I use a dripper with huge airholes, but that gets boring rather quickly. Something around 1mm or less is too tight for me. So the Spheroid has the golden middle.

IMHO of course ;)

Perseas, I bought mine through Domo. Let me make it clear that Blake was 100% on top of every issue I had and he made sure to go out of his way to get me the right switch and top cap. I couldn't seem to get a set that didn't have some sort of imperfection in the threading and I ended up selling it to a friend of mine. Don't get me wrong, I loved the device and always recommend your product to new vapers when I see them getting into the good stuff. I believe there was a rough patch in manufacturing during that period, but I was on my way to quitting and ended up getting rid of all my stuff. I love your stuff and wanted to make sure I would be getting the product I desire in the X as it carries a high price tag.

Very nice...is it bead blasted? I like the contrast between the finishes...and I don't own anything that doesn't have cat or dog hair on it...

I have a few Tanburs in polished, but even after Cape Cod and elbow grease, they are semi-polished at best. Great drip tip. love them on my Spheroids and Microstick. I need a longer DT for this setup, else my face gets in the way of the button.

Correction: if you read all the commentary in this thread, the accurate statement would be:

"The threading of the X is indeed superior to anything anybody has done till now."

The X 1.5 is my first high end mech , but shy of the upcoming PAPS V3 I just don't see how threads could be better than this. Sometimes I'll be watching a review on YouTube and someone is like 'these threads are great, no complaints here on these, just fantastic threads' and I can tell just by watching someone else screw something together that they aren't as good as the X.

The changes will be discussed in the topic I will open for the GP SnP. The ability to have 22 mm and 23 mm covers and just one tank is possible already, if the client puts a note inside his order about it, so we can match the covers with the caps a priori.

Yes sorry, I should have said after purchase.

Thank you for the clarification, I just want for you and all to have a good experience with our creations. We aren't perfect, but we shall support any issue occurs, because at the end of the day we are all vapers and we want our mods to work flawlessly :)

That does not sound like the quality of GP, and if there were issues, I think that Perseas/GP Team would've had it resolved immediately with an exchange.

Threads on mine from top to bottom were all silky smooth!

There are 3 APV manufacturers that I 100% support and this right here is why Perseas and Vapourart are 1 of them!

Spheroids are definitely tighter draw. But you get to notice that distinctively only when coming back from vaping a K'fun type overtly loose drawn atty. Vaping at a stretch I find my Spheroids perfect... I've no issues with them... nothing seriously need changing. Heck, I've not even fetched their v3 (or whatever they are called) kits! Thumb nuts go well with me ;)

However, if something needs to be done, not warranted - but if Perseas has to, then I'm with idaho
--------------------------------------------
What I don't want to see changing: The "dome shaped" top. It should never go IMHO. B'coz this makes the Spheroid distinct. I love it and thus also wanted this bell-top on the Heron.
--------------------------------------------

Remember long ago when the squareoid was mentioned? I think P mentioned that....Sooo
funny. :)
