So many cool facts about aluminum and the conductivity, oxidation and strength.
Perseas, does the oxydation process for the aluminum have any impact on the conductivity or resistance of the PAPS? Did you test the aluminum tube before and after the oxidation process? Does it even matter? As the switch material and positive post material would seem to be most important.

The oxidisation happens in ... our hands. The initial colour is golden with a slight greyish white tint due to aluminium in the bronze who makes a tiny film in the exterior of the tube.

It is becoming slowly greenish and then turns in that brown colour. A 5 minutes polishing and it will return in its fist golden glory. A real chameleon!

The tint and the changes to the hue of the aluminium bronze are more visually appealing to me then the brass ones.

There is no adverse effect in conductivity due to high percent of copper combined with aluminium, both are high conductive materials. Add the 24k gold over silver plated contacts and button and it hits like a train.

The strength of the aluminium bronze is better than the brass, but still it is lower than the SS.

Cant wait brother!

The strength is compared to steel and many other high strength metals in proportion to its weight.
The conductivity of aluminum is incredible and there has been a long debate with aluminum vs brass and which is better material.
The oxidation actually adds to the strength of aluminum and in extreme oxidation it will increase the dimention of the metal.
We studied and tested aluminum very intense in my old life.
I was wondering if the oxidation helps conductivity. This is something I dont remember learning.

Admiralty brass has 71% Cu and naval brass has 60% Cu, while the aluminium bronze goes up to 91% Cu plus 7-10% Al.

So it is definitely high conductive even if it is corroded to become black.

The small percentages of tin, aluminium, nickel, zinc and phosphorus that make up copper alloys degrade the electrical performance of the resulting alloy to a far greater percentage than their compositional percentage in the alloy. We chose aluminium bronze and not other ones with nickel or phosphorus as more conductive, safer and harder.

Spheroids received. That is some fast processing and shipping. Thank you!

Why must you mock?
Perseas likes to mess with me and send my stuff to China for a bit:laugh:. Only because he knows how bad I love VapourArt!
Love ya man!...oh you too Jacoji:)
