Hi guys, this is my first time i buy a GP Paps, it is the 2.5 lux, and it is my first mod with bottom switch, so I am having some troubles. I apologize if these questions were asked before but since the lux is fairly new i found it better to ask.
1- First I am having problems with the 18500 tube. It is not making contact with a 18490 IMR. Maybe it made contact for few seconds but it is very loose and the pin keeps on falling every time i try unscrewing it more.
2- with the 18650 sometimes it starts without rattling but after a while it rattles, it is like the contact pin is unscrewing somehow?
3- Do I need to do adjustments on the switch side? Is it possible to make better contact or is it only from the top cap?
4- Can i adjust the throw of the button?
5- The switch keeps unscrewing when trying to lock. Any advice there?

Thanks a lot guys, appreciate any help.

Hi mate, ask whatever you like :)
Measure the smaller screw and tell me its length, how many mm is it?

Tighten the holding nut, by turning it counterclockwise, it has left handed threads.

3- Do I need to do adjustments on the switch side? Is it possible to make better contact or is it only from the top cap?

The positive post is adjustable, the negative post is constant.

4- Can i adjust the throw of the button?

No.

5- The switch keeps unscrewing when trying to lock. Any advice there?

The threading is left handed, when you screw the last thread, tighten suddenly 1-2 times, so the nut will grab the axis of the button.

I see that your location is Greece.

If you are in Greece, send me a pm and you can phone me.

No.

good to know

OK i didnt get this. I lock the switch by turning it counterclockwise when the switch is facing my face. the switch opens also in the same way. What do you mean left handed, and the nut and the axis are ok, what do they have to do with unlocking

Wow! This is what I call Customer Service :) This is why I didn't/couldn't buy a Caravella, Poldiac or Chi-You. This is why I'm withholding my eagerness to buy another Atty - and waiting for the Spheroid to stock-up, while it's unavailable with him - though I need one BADLY. This is why my $$$ go to Perseas!

It should be at least 6 mm. Send an email to info(at)vapourart.com quoting our discussion here and we shall send you a replacement post.

I speak about the holding nut which keeps the button in its place, this one has a reverse threading. If the nut is loose, the switch will be taken apart in its pieces during the lock-unlock function.

Thanks a lot perseas. Sorry I didn't make myself clear. It is the switch base getting unthreaded. The whole switch base not only the button.

Therefore, the holding nut is loose, it needs to be tightened. Check it now and if there is any issue, please inform me.

ok. i think i see what you are saying. When you try to lock the button the whole switch is unthreading instead of just the lock ring? if this is the case, it appears your lock ring is too tightly unlocked/screwed into the base. so you will need to unscrew the lock ring from the base, this can be hard to get a hold of to do this! if you can try using silicone or as someone posted before some self adhesive bandage to give better grip and unscrew while off the body. Hope this helps.

also i saw mentioned before, put the switch in the freezer, the cold can make the metal contract slightly(?) and allow the the ring to unthread

something like this:

If he meant that the locking ring is stuck, yes I agree, put it in the freezer for a while. If it remains stuck after that, send an email and we shall change it.

The whole switch base with the locking ring, is what you mean?

It is not stuck. Actually it is very smooth until it unlocks completely. Then when I try to lock it, it grabs the whole switch with it. Then I take the whole switch unlock it then put it back on the tube. I'm just checking if this normal to happen. It seems the locking ring is grabbing the switch base too much or the switch base is not grabbing the tube enough.

If the holding nut screws more than it should, the firing pin must protrude over 0,5 mm. Does this happen?

If that is the case, this could be seen in a photo and the solution is a new holding nut.

Do you mean that the switch get stuck in the unlock position? I cannot comprehend yet your issue, elaborate please.

I don't think I have a problem with the firing pin. Its just that assuming you have your device unlocked and you are vaping. When I lock it by turning the locking ring counter clockwise, it sticks to the switch base and both get unscrewed from the tube. Then I put it in lock position and thread it back on the tube. Wait, do I have to hold the switch base with my other hand when locking?
