I got a tracking number last night, has not updated yet. Imagine it will tomorrow.

I got mine Saturday. Was hoping they'd go out today... I'm sure perseas has his hands full getting all the orders ready.

qorax, what's sitting on the top of yours? is that an rba with a clear top cap?

Armirite my friend,
Quoted from our leader :)

GP SERIES UPDATE

The GP PAPS v2.5 18500 & 18650 alu-bronze tubes aren't ready yet, as well the v2.5 SS ones.
We wait the alu-bronze rods to arrive and they will be available around the middle of the month.
The SS tubes will be ready earlier.
The GP PAPS SS v2.1 polished tubes are available in 8500, 18650 and 18800 sizes.
This week's batch will have GP PAPS v2.5 18350 LUX Edition & SS Edition mods and GP PAPS v2.5 switches.
We wait also, the first switches of GP Piccolo v3.1 to be tested, I'll post about them this week.
GP Spheroid units will arrive in 2 weeks.
GP salt & Pepper is under production, in a few days we shall have it ready.

Such a good combo, Amirite? Have you considered a mirror polish on the RSST?

Thanx Amirite. Yes it is... in fact I studied, scouted and selected it specially for my GP Paps, just for the fact that it perfectly matches the form factor of a 22mm Mech.Mod.

The RSST, kind of, extends the Paps tube... sits flush, at the same OD and offers a hybrid look, well sort of. The Paps (v2.1) being SS, matched well with the satin finish of the RSST. It gave that contrast... the cigarette ....-end kinda feel. Which indeed makes the whole unit very eye friendly, very likeable.

Then came along the LUX. Now, I need a brass finished RSST. Well any brassed-out Atty that's rectangular (in 2D), like the RSST. I'm not for an Atty that'd have a conical shape towards the drip-tip, or oval, or whatever. I'm for a straight-cut topper. Which, currently, either the RSST or the UD AGI offers. But alas, both r SS. So, I'll have to live with it.

As reg. trying polishing it (the RSST), the truth is I have no idea how to do it, LOL. But yes, a polished RSST would definitely look nice/er. Till then my hunt is ON, for a brass Atty, preferably a Genesis type RBA.

ohhhh.... there it is. the shadows are dark enough that i didn't see the full shape of the rrst. i thought it only went as far as the tank and the top of it was rounded... heh.

Yes, a RSST. I tried the Aga-T2 too... but that looks horrible, due the fact that it has a conical end towards the drip-tip... which I don't prefer, pls see my previous post as to why. For the same reason even an AC9 will not justify what the RSST accomplishes with this mod, IMHO.

Not a good idea to use brass for an atty/tank, however you could always gold plate your RSST.

True.
And I don't think there is one as well (a brass Atty). I'm just trying to look-out for one which has a brass finish, in the outer. As essentially all r either SS or chrome plated brass, like the Kanger Protank.

The best finish one could get with a LUX + RBA combo is this:

The Senesis RBA. But obtaining it is another matter altogether :(

the senisis and dripper by senio look nice and have a brass finish option, but the list is closed and the wait looks like it'll literally take years. on top of that, pictures of some of the recent units look like they have some shoddy craftsmanship. but the pictures are beautiful.

Ah yeah, I forgot about those.. pretty much for the reasons listed (not available, long, long wait). They have a brass sleeve that fits over the stainless steel.. adds a nice accent to it. The wood ones are even nicer looking IMO. Shame to hear about poor quality though...

You beat me to it Kdragn :) I've been searching for senesis too but I think I may just get one of my ac9's gold plated I believe a good jeweler can match the color of the lux as close as possible.

... that's rectangular (in 2D)...

Architecture lesson of the day: The term you're looking for is 'in elevation'. When you look at something directly, without any perspective distortion, that's an elevation. Split an object down the middle and it becomes a section. A top down view is a plan.

Sorry, could not help myself. :p
