I've only had mine for about half a day, but this thing is great so far. I can't make it leak. It had a tight draw to begin with until I adjusted the screw - now I have it dialed in perfectly to what I like. I bought one to try and salvage what I thought was a bad investment in clearomizers. I ordered a second one hopefully to make use of my XL clearomizers, when and if the longer tubes become available.

I don't care for the clearomizer products. Dry, burning draws and the mess of filling made them seem not worthwhile. And their proneness to cracking tubes and leaking.

If these SSR's hold up for awhile - they are great. The adjustable draw is fantastic. I've read that a lot of other tank mods develop a funky taste from either grommets and/or the o-rings. I hope these don't do that.

Which leads to my questions:
1] Do you still plan on getting longer XL tubes?

2] If there is the potential for the rubber to deteriorate and negatively effect taste, have you thought about selling the grommets, as a replacement, separately?

3] Is the battery end of the tank user serviceable? (i.e. if I did want to replace my grommets can I, or is it glued or soldered or something)? I'd try to investigate this myself but mine is currently full of juices and I'm not taking it out-of-service long enough to tear it up looking!

Awesome product! :vapor:

I'm having major leaking issues through the center tube. Can this be fixed? I haven't overfilled it but everytime I take a hit, I get major gurgling.

You can try the following to see if it helps.

Take off the drip tip and use a pencil and push the rings down on the cup with the eraser end to make sure that they are tight against the ceramic cup.

Make sure the CE2 is screwed down tight; I use needle nose pliers to tighten mine.

Make sure your ce2 has an 0 ring at the bottom.

Yes it's on it and screw down ce2...it's snug

So far this has helped. Thank you.

Yes PKZ has it right.

You do need the silicone piece to be pushed down.
Make sure it is flat.
Whether it is a flat silicone, or a grooved silicone, it still needs to be flat side down
touching the ceramic.

When this technique is done, it allows it not to be flood potential,
and also gives it the right amount of liquid to not have dry burning take place.

I like the GP-SSR, the adjustable airflow thing is a good idea I think. I like the screw in replacement of the ce2 also, plus it's very easy to get apart to fill or replace ce2. Just for the record I'm a MAP tank owner and I like them also. One thing doesn't have to be bad or lacking for something else to be good. Both are quite nice.................

Maybe include some instructions on how to do this with the SSR. The adapter that came with mine didn't allow for much airflow, luckily I had a different adapter that worked well, and now that I know how to adjust the adapter (unscrew it a bit), the original adapter works fine. Now that I know how to adjust it, I can dial in the draw that I desire. Had I not been following a different thread on the SSR, I would have never known about the adjustability.
