That's good to know (about the ti wire)! I hope vaporesso comes out with more wire types for the coils. I like titanium wire better than nickle, too!

Yes, a quiet healthy 2016 sounds like exactly what you need. I was really relieved when 2015 was over and I didn't have nearly the year you did! I have much higher hopes for this one, though.

Even more good news... (Red already knows from another thread) Ti coils work WAY better on the Target than nickel coils do. I just rebuilt my Derringer with 0.26 ohm Ti coils and set it at 350°F and it's a pretty awesome vape... I switched the Derringer over to my Praxis mech mod and it isn't as good as it is on the Target... so, if you want to run TC on the Target, get an atty that you can run Ti coils in and you'll be good to go!

That's EXACTLY what I did when I tried the nickle coil! It was horrible and something I never, ever want to repeat, lol. Fortunately, these coils really DO recover from a burnt hit but the memory of that nastiness will be with me forever, lol.

I found that to be 100% true. I got totally different experiences with that coil on my different TC mods. I never could get it dialed in on the X-Cube II, and I had to lower the temperature WAY down on the Cloupor Mini+. Just a bump of 10 degrees meant the difference between a good experience and a horrible, hot hit. i couldn't even get it to read on the Reliant.

Nice! I need to pick up a few more regulated mods... I've got the Target and the Invader Mini. Other than that, I've got about a dozen mech tubes... one of the guys in the rayon thread convinced me to get the Invader and I'm glad he did... that thing is RUGGED!

Yup, you traveled the same course I did with the nickle coil, lol! I found that when the Cloupor was dialed in correctly I got the best experience from that mod, but if it isn't, it's no bueno, lol.

I will definitely do that! It won't be for a couple of days but I am REALLY trying to fit it in sometime soon. I have been meaning to build it for a couple of weeks now, lol!

Interesting... I really want to get one of the mods with the SX boards in it. I've heard that they are pretty solid and pretty accurate. They even have upgrade capability to input different coefficients for different types of wire... Ni200, Ti, SS, etc...

Yeah it really stays with you, doesn't it? The coil gets better but the residual taste takes a min, lol. Blech. You should try it on the Reliant and see if it reads. I couldn't get it dialed it and the Reliant couldn't recognize the coil. It worked great on the Cloupor (also at very, very low temperature) and the iStick 40w TC (actually the best one but I PIFd that mod!) but I won't be buying any more of the nickle heads. I am anxiously awaiting my kanthal head order, though! I ordered a 5-pack from Heaven Gifts using my $10 coupon code from the Balrog contest and the 15% off everything they had going on, so I got them on the CHEAP! I opted for cheap shipping, too, though, so it will be another week or so before they come in. Good thing my kanthal head is still going strong, lol.

Yeah, me too... I only did it today because I was sitting around at work with nothing to do. We're pretty slow right now due to the god-awful-low price per barrel of oil... I kinda miss paying $4 a gallon for gas... at least business was good and I could work some overtime!

Lucky you! I've had more dry/burnt hits than I can count... especially when I was using cotton wicks. Rayon fixed that for the most part...
