Gripper is a nice PV and no way under par.. youll be happy with it im sure. Battery door is kind of flimsy but it works fine. I wouldnt worry about it falling off.. Works good on mine ever after some falls..

Well my hopes of transplanting into another enclosure have gone south. The enclosure I bought is a little too big for my liking.
Cutting to length is not a problem, circumference is. Just not comfortable to hold. I'm looking into 3D Printing to replicate the Grippers case without the seam and other shortcomings. It may be a while before I get it finish as there are a lot of things going on right now. Once it is done it will be available, open source, on Shapeways.

Shapeways is a 3D printing service. I submit the design and make it open to the public. You can go to the design and order it straight from them. All you are paying for is the printing service.
There could be a possibility of a Co-op. IIRC, the price drops when you order in mass.

Very interesting, if there's a video with it that shows how to transfer the electronics from one to another, I might just buy another Gripper and try it if the price of Shapeways aren't too high. On the other hand, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to just buy 2-3 Grippers instead, if it breaks, you have another.
I received my Gripper today, from Le Petit Vapoteur, France. Excellent Service!
It arrived in brown box with loads of bubblewrap including a Complementary bottle of Caramel E-Liquid and a Caramel Sweet.
I haven't received the batteries yet, nor the charger, so heres hoping both will arrive on Monday! I can't wait!
Now for the Gripper, nice presentation And instruction booklet.
The device sits nicely in my hand, I like the matt finish. I think once it begins to get a little shabby it would be easy to redecorate. Feels really light, although it doesn't have a battery so I can't really say yet.
The four finger grooves don't bother me as yet and my fingers wrap round it rather well. All in all a nice fit. The top button makes a change to the Twist but shouldn't be a problem to get used to although it is very Clicky, I'm not too sure I like this, will have to see once it's in full operation. Perhaps if things go pear-shaped buy the non-clicky button Cool Breeze has suggested.
I've added photo's for the Ladies to approximate its size.

Got me a Gripper early this morning. CCV gave Vsummer a $25 gift for winning a contest and she gave it to me. Will be doing a UT review on CCV and the Gripper when I get it but I have to say its been a awesome Exp all the way. So I join the ranks and will have a nice back up device. Very grateful. Ending price was just over $30 with a battery and free shipping.

I got mine from CCV for $49 with no batteries. I got mine awhile back when it was new though.As for the battery, my protected flat top is an 1800 mah, so it fits just fine in the battery compartment.

I was going to get $10 off but decided my luck was good enough as it is. Have 4 18650's, but after sending CCV an email asking if they would match MV he said the price was more cause the battery. If I would have read the title to the description it was in front of my face (long night and excitement took over my brain). CCV was a good sport about it anyways, and replied to my email at 3am. Cant beat that service. Willing to make a customer happy. I will buy from again.

I have a vv gripper and the 510 connection stopped connecting to a lot of my equipment after a couple days. I am pretty disappointed. I am going to change out the 510 connection tomorrow. The box is pretty simple to take off: just pull it apart really hard. It is superglued together around the seams.
1.) Most people I know with Provaris have an 18650 in them. The 18340 just doesn't last as long. Comparing to the Provari at home on the same battery (AW IMR 18650's, both bought within a few days of each other), I have noticed no difference in battery life, using the same resistance carto's.
2.) The Provari is a PWM device too. Almost any device using a single cell at a lower voltage to produce a vv output greater than the max voltage of the cell uses a boost circuit, which almost guarantees the use of PWM for regulation. (I can't think of another way to do it, at least. There might be another way, just haven't seen it yet.) Provari even says so on their FAQ, which I've listed below.

I just got the Telescope in. What can I say. My mind is blown away by all the vapor this thing makes. I cant get over it. Its my first mechanical mod that I could fit the DID atty on. All I can say is get you some. Im making a few step versions of some Genesis tutorials and going over every vape style from little to no vapor, to clouds. This thing makes the car foggy and its only step 1 of 4. Im so going to blow my lungs out. This has got to be worse then smoking at some point.

The battery life in the Gripper is very good. Got almost 48 hours out of my oldest AW IMR. My last pv would have killed 4 of them in the same amount of time. Everyone needs to get a Gripper.
I can tell you right now there aint near enough hot glue in that unit.. But the works look like they could be rehoused rather easily.
I go trough a 2200 mAh 18650 battery in 6-8 hours. After that time it gets down to 3.6 volts which means it's time to change. How can you get 48 hours of battery life?
Zurd, you're only using about half of your battery. There is nothing wrong with running a battery down to the Gripper's cutoff voltage (3.3-3.4v resting voltage). That is still well above the minimum voltage for IMRs and the Panny Hybrids.
