R U kidding me...banning outdoor vaping??? that's ridiculousness to the extreme and I know once TW defeated the FDA in the courts the smaller jurisdictions are now moving forward in opposing Ecigs.
Congrats on one year....tomorrow :D

Welcome to the forum Russ!

At least you are allowed to vape in some places. In my state you can't vape indoors anywhere at all. And they're trying to ban outside vaping as well.

Get a couple of ECF cards and pass them out.

And welcome to ECF Russ. At least here know there's is ample support for vaping. Hope to see you soon and don't let the odd closed minded individuals get you down. I haven't had one person come down on me for vaping. In fact many are quite interested especially if they have a loved one that smokes.
Happy Vaping, Vapoor.

ALL STRONGLY IMHO. BP would rather have long term customers using the ineffective smoking cessations programs they are now selling. I know some friends that are now successfully vaping that have spent a small fortune on patches, pills and Nic gum with always the same result= failure. They told me it wasn't only the fact they feared for their health/ life but more so they felt like complete and utter failures after trying the BP methods. I know it's been said many times before but I'll say it again. It's just so shameful.
Happy New Years, Vapoor.

Thanks!

Yup! That's what they're trying to do. Pharmaceutical companies rule NJ. Half of NJ is employed by Big Pharm- I used to be.

Stores, restaurants, bars and businesses are privately owned and make and enforce their own rules (within the law). If we as vapers continue to push the limits, we will see more and more laws passed banning the use of e-cigs. The puritans are on a roll and they aren't going to stop at cigarettes.

We couldn't smoke in a store or church or work, etc., why the 'need' to vape?

Just because the TV commercials say you can vape anywhere, doesn't make it right, or polite. :2c:

Hi Russ, they probably thought it was something else for illegal drugs or something. Not to long ago I would have thought the same thing. Your PV is still relatively new technology and many people do not know about them yet. I think you handled it as best as possible.

Anyways, welcome to ECF and hope to see ya around :)

As a long time member said here once, and he said it better than I will, there are two schools of thought on this- Neither is right or wrong-

One camp says it's not smoking, so why can't we. The big argument against public smoking was second hand smoke and harming others. That's more or less taken out of the equation so why not?

The second camp says follow the same guidelines as smokers. Treat your pv like a cigarette and follow the same rules they do.

I have a foot in both camps. I'm not going to get all militant and stage a vape-out. But playing nice and following the rules the way we have been doing hasn't been all that successful either. No one is going to give us rights if we're good little boys and girls. They don't care! They just want us to keep the damn things away from them!

I've never seen any one vape anywhere either. I'm the first person I know to vape, lol. I get a lot of strange looks when people see it on my desk at work. If anyone asks about it, a lot of people have heard about them, but no one has seen them. At least word is getting out, unfortunately, it's mostly by the bad companies with the bad reputations.....

I'm off to order the ECF cards so I can leave them everywhere! :toast:

ETA: I use any opportunity I can to tell people all I can about them, and ECF.

My wifes best friend has a 8 year old child with Cancer. You can's step foot into her house if you have even a snifle. As you walk in her front door there is a hand sanitizer station. Due to Chemo treatments her son has a very weak immune system. I would never consider even asking her to vape in her house. On that note, I would hate to be walking through a store and blow a vape cloud by a parent who may have a child in that same situation. They just won't have any interest in hearing how it's not a cigarette and it's not part of the tobacco ban. Most have us have managed to shop for years without a cigarette in our hand. I'm pretty sure we are fine waiting till we get to our cars. If not, Stealth vape and you'll have no issues. :2c:

I probably wouldn't either out of basic respect. Although just being outside with car fumes, weed killers, or inhaling some everyday household chemicals probably poses a greater risk.

Yes and no. I wouldn't take my car in grocery store either:p. All those you listed can be a risk but that would depend on room size and Parts per million measurements. Unless you're talking about huffing.

I'm not saying second hand vapor is a risk. To be honest, I was never on board with second hand smoke being all that dangerous. My point is people don't know what it is and they assume it's a cigarette cuz they see smoke. Why try to make people uncomfortable?
