I've only been into DIY for a short time, but it's not very hard and it's alot of fun. I use a software program that makes it insanely easy ejuice me up click on download on the bottom right and install it.

You need some some nic juice (I watch for sales when I buy it, and a number of vendors sell it). You can get it with PG or VG base, or combined PG/VG. I use 60mg or 100mg in PG base. You will also need flavors- just start with 2 or 3 in small bottles. Get a bottle of plain pg, a bottle of plain vg and something to measure your stuff with. The software shows measurements in drops and in ML, but I think using a syringe and ML measurements is more accurate. You can order a syringe online (no needle needed) or you can get one from walmart that's made for measuring out liquid meds for kids, or ask a pharmacist for some disposable mini measuring cups.

When you open up the software, you will have to enter info about the nic juice you have in that space for my nic juice I would enter under pg: 100 in the box for vg: enter zero, and input 60 in the box for MG. On the next line you put in how strong you want the juice to be, I generally make mine 24mg so I would put that in. I then input how many ML I want to make, for your first attempts start small, make 5ml. Then go to the section on flavorings, and for the sake of simplicity just input 10%. My flavorings are all 100% PG base, so change the box for flavoring to 100PG zero VG. Type in the name of the flavoring you are using and go to the bottom half of the screen and you will see two boxes that you can enter data in marked "PG and VG" that is where you indicate what mix pg/vg you want, i.e. 80/20, 60/40, 50/50 etc. Then just hit calculate. To summarize.

My recipe for 5ml of 24mg juice using 60mg nicotine in PG base will be as follows:
2 ml of nic juice
1.5 ml of PG
1 ml of VG
.5 ml of my flavor.

After you get used to the software and get an idea of how much flavoring you need, you can change all of that in the software and you can save your recipes so if you make a real winner you can always look it up and recreate it!

Hello!
Ive gotten back into the ecig (again) and this time for good. Ive been analog free for three weeks now, so this time I KNOW I made it! (long story, not for this thread..lol)

Anyhow, my reason for posting. I have some straight nic juice (48mg) and will be mixing it to about 12-18mg strength (Still trying to find what 'works' best for me..seems to be in that range area-ish)

Out shopping today, I found this type of stevia (I use the power kind, for my pesonal use, but didnt have any liquid til I stumbled on this deal of a deal)
SteviaClear Liquid Travel Size 6ml-Buy Wisdom
and was wondering if this is what I need?! Picked up all they had left for 1.40 each!

Along with about a dozen different flavors of LorAnn's flavorings (no oil types) for .49 cents..yep FOURTY-NINE CENTS...seeing as how I make hard candy, I REALLY stocked up! lol
Main question is tho..the stevia liquid..can I safely use that one?
Thanks =)

I have finally ordered and tested some of the Tasty Puff flavors! Below you will find a comprehensive methodology and review of my opinions. Be aware that taste, both flavor and perceived strength/concentration are subjective. I have a fairly good palate even when I was a smoker. Still there are things that I will be able to detect that others won’t and vice versa. I like to taste my juice and I don’t want to try and figure out if I am really tasting this or that. I do like my juice to have stronger flavors. The ratios are based on what the relative current strengths are for a majority of the commercially available juices that I have tried. I have found some to be lacking for my tastes and that is why I decided to go the DIY rout. That being said, I tried to keep the taste of the general public in mind and what the average strengths are available in juices when making my recommendations. You will have to adjust to your taste (Duh) but I think this is a good starting point.

Method
I used a 510 atty (2.0 ohms) used for dripping on a box mod utilizing a single 14500 3.7V 900mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery, freshly charged. The atty was cleaned between flavors by vaping till there was little or no flavor left. Then 2(two) drops of 100% PG (no nic) were applied directly to the bridge of the atty and allowed to soak in to the coil & wick assembly. The bridge was blotted dry till no fluid appeared on the paper towel. Again 2(two) more drops were applied to the bridge and allowed to soak in again followed by blotting till no fluid appeared on the paper towel. Then, 1(one) drop of PG and vaped till no perceived flavor remained followed by a final blotting till no liquid appeared. There were a few instances where I needed to repeat the final step to insure that no flavor remained.
Ratios were measured using a standard insulin needle with 1/100 ml markings for accuracy. The base liquid used to mix with the flavorings was flavorless nic juice at 18mg/ml, 50% PG and 50% VG.
NO STEEP TIME was utilized during this review! Keep in mind that Tasty Puff flavors strengthen with steep time (sometimes dramatically) as has been reported before in this thread.

Results
Nilly Vanilla 5% max., 4/5 Not dissimilar to most of the vanilla flavors out there.

Electric Banana 5-7%, 4/5 Like the candy, not much like the fruit.

Jungle Juice 5%, 5/5 Just like Hawaiian Punch but somehow better.

Pimpy Freash Peach 5-10%, 5/5 Lightest flavor that I tried but very good.

California Orange 5% or 5%+, 5/5 Just like Tang. If the astronauts could vape…

Chick Magnet Cherry 5%, 4/5 Still trying to find a real cherry. Like all the others that I have tried. I like cherry and don’t mind the cough syrup taste, gives a better TH.

Mango Tango 5%, 3/5 This is as real to really over ripe mango as I have found. If you like mangos and ever had one that is over ripe, well, it has that taste of ..... Too pungent.

Puckered Up Pineapple 5% +, 4/5 The most real pineapple that I have found.

Crazy Coconut 5%, 5/5 Again a true to the fruit flavor as I seem to have found.

Lemon Lime Kamakazi 3-5% max., 5/5 You can actually taste the lemon AND the lime.

Blueberry Thrill 3-5%, 4/5 This one is a little stronger and I would have given 5/5 but it has a perfumery after taste. Probably definitely don’t use at stronger than 5%.

Ghetto Grape 5%+, 2-3/5 This was the biggest disappointment and had a paraffin/waxy aftertaste but it was the closest to a real grape I have come across.

Convicted Melon 5%+, 5/5 Closest to a real watermelon without that artificial taste.

Strawberry Cough 5%, 3/5 There is a slightly artificial taste but something different… there are much better strawberry flavorings out there.

Chronic Hypnotic 5%, 10/5. Unreal! Must have! Can’t describe. Everyone will taste something different. If I tried you all would get hypnotized. My chronic vape now! I was debating on including this in the review as I don’t want it to go out of stock.

Conclusion
These are most but not all of the flavors that Tasty Puff has and I was pleasantly surprised out how good they are in general. I have ordered others and will update my findings when I have tested those out as well.
When you take into consideration the cost of a .25oz bottle and the relatively low concentrations needed to achieve good flavors, these are a bargain. Overall their flavors more accurately mimic some of the natural flavors of real fruit and some are slightly sweet negating the need to add any sweetener.
The biggest downside to these flavors is the fact that most have artificial coloring in them but it is so transparent & light and you are cutting them with a whole lot of base nic juice relative to flavor, it is hardly worth mentioning. You barely notice the color and relative to LA this is nothing.

I found the cheapest price AND best selection here. They are really nice there and answer all your questions. BONUS, they accept paypal. No mention of e-cigs of course.

Overall two thumbs up.

While placing a recent order for some hardware, I decided to add a few Dekang e-liquids to my order. (I was thinking back to when I first began the e-cig journey - almost 3 years now - and the Chinese liquids tasted fine and thought since the supplier had them at a very low price, I thought, "what the heck - I'd like some more 10 ml bottles - may as well get them filled with something.")

Anyway, the ones I got are fine in the flavor department, except they have a harshness (like too much nicotine maybe?) I got them at 12 mg strength, which is the strength I've been using for a long time now.

I am tired and depressed and just don't feel like playing laboratory. I thought adding some Vape Wizard or Magic Mask from FlavourArt should help.

Any thoughts of what and how much to add to a 10 ml bottle? I really don't want to weaken the flavor. TIA

Oh, and if anyone lives near Akron OH and would like to come over and motivate me to play "laboratory" - you are welcome - just PM me.

Vape Wizard and Magic Mask might not reduce the harshness much, they are more relevant to affecting flavors themselves as far as I know (e.g., bitterness). You might try using some Ethyl Maltol / PA Cotton Candy. Another method that might help is leaving the bottle open to air out for a while, I've heard this removes perfume aromas and it might work for harshness depending on what is causing it.

Whatever you do, don' forget to try it with a small amount of liquid at first and maybe label it. You might even pour out 3 little bottles and do something different with each one.

Thanks P-Dub. I'll probably just link to your post., it's a lot of good info.

Thanks Nikhil. The Cheesecake flavor was actually pretty good and when I mixed it with Blueberry that helped calm down the Blueberry. I suspect Dekang is all PG and I'm now used to an 80/20 PG/VG mix, so if that is true, I am guessing the "extra" PG could cause the harshness.

I have some Perfumer's Apprentice Cotton Candy, VG and lots of flavorings, so I imagine I can fix them with enough tinkering (which is something I'm trying to avoid - just not in the mood for tinkering much). Green Tea and Honey were the two other flavors I ordered, thinking I could mix the two together, but haven't tried that yet.

If adding extra PA Cotton Candy and/or VG weakens the flavor, I have Blueberry and Honey flavorings to bump them up, but no Green Tea flavoring. I'll do some more taste testing after uncapping and letting them breathe for a while - good idea.

I've been wanting to try green tea, so if nothing else, I'll at least get a feel if I like this as a vaping flavor. Warming them in a hot water bath is another thought. I don't really care if I lose some of the nicotine strength.

Thank you very much P-Dub - That was a lot of work! I have some Tasty Puff too and the Peach at 5% I think is very good. I mix it with an 80/20 PG/VG base, so I am thinking the smaller ratio of VG makes the Peach taste come out a bit stronger. Now you've got me wanting to order Pineapple, Coconut, and Chronic Hypnotic (don't worry, I'll only order just one bottle of Chronic Hypnotic. Tasty Puff is very concentrated.) I treat it like FlavourArt.

OT - but can anyone tell me why FlavorArt Maxboro and Wyatt Earp are so dark? I doubt it's food coloring, so what could it be? I've always heard to avoid real dark juice, but these are really good, so I don't listen to this particular advice, but curious.

Most flavoring that has a coca taste to it is dark. Both of those have that flavor as a component. At the percentage you'll mix it at will not result in dark juice. (It will be tinted though.)

Thanks for replying, that would explain why it was so dark when double flavored.

I have a question, but first some background.... To get the flavour potency that I crave, I am mixing Flavor Apprentice at 25%, across the board. I use only VG for my juice base, and I use the Joye EGO-T.

My questions is this.... Is there any danger in vaping such a high concentration? ..considering the same amount of flavouring added to a bowl of ice cream renders it over-chemicalled and inedible. (Yes, I know "chemicalled" is not a real word.)
