I will gladly lay down my pitchfork and relax when they have a recall. It doesn't matter if the new ones are fixed when there's no recall so people are still selling the old ones and if they did fix the new ones they should be identifiable so you know which one you're purchasing and sticking to your face. I bought mine in a shop paying 74$ tax and all when I was first starting out because people recommended it. It lasted 36 days and i've not been able to use it longer than I was able to. Waiting on the company to replace it still getting the runaround.

Have 2. No issues. For $50 bucks its disposable anyway. I'll use mine till I have problems then chuck it. Move on to the next best "issue" which all mods have their issues. That's evident from this forum. If there was a perfect device there wouldn't be a need for this forum.
Sorry, I don't have $50 to throw around on the chance that it will stop working and can't get it fixed. Or autofire and catch my house on fire and endangering my family. I hate that we have become a disposable society and so acceptable of inconsistant & poorly made products.

My two vaping devices are supported by the manufacturer for life. I've had them for three years and never had a problem. I chose well.

Yeah not everybody has the coin to plop down on a provari so the disposable is their savior.

So spending a low amount of $ multiple times on a "disposable" is cheaper than spending a higher amount of $ on a mod that lasts a lifetime is more economical? Cause I am 100% sure that someone can still vape my Reo's when I'm dead and I ain't that old yet.

Yes, it is cheaper to go with "disposable". And I do not want to have a mod that lasts a lifetime, as I do not want old flip-flop phone now (even if it is mechanically stronger). Things are changing.
As for Reo - it is special niche product, we cannot compare it to other vaping gear. However I think it will fade with time as VV/WW bottom feeder will be available on market for $30 or so.

I remember 2 years ago when I first started vaping and wanted to get a VV/VW device, everyone was pushing the Provaris and warning that the VAMO's, Lavatubes, et al, were only going to last 6 months. That I'd just end up buying another one very quickly. Well my first VAMO V2 is still going strong, after vaping it every day for those 2 years. And it's been dropped a couple dozen times. My 2nd VAMO that I got as a backup has barely been used in all that time.

I now have a little more to spend on vape gear and I still didn't get a Provari. I got an iStick 30W, MVP 30W, and an SVD 2.0. The price of all 3 of those wouldn't come close to a new Provari. Which gives me more money for other things, like updated clearos. I think people need to recognize that their choices aren't necessarily good choices for everyone else. We all have our own budgets, our own preferences, and our own way of doing things. But we're all here and we're not smoking, so it's all good.

With all of the recommendations not to buy the iStick 50W, how can one know what company to trust? I have even heard of an $800 device (not Eleaf) fail. People can't just buy new devices all the time because of bad reports. That would empty your wallet very quickly. Makes one wonder if they shouldn't just go to gum or patch.

I'm still new to vaping.
Research and don't be an early adopter. Wait for the dust (and hype) to settle. This way you can see how the manufacturers deal with the lemons if there are any. I hate being left high and dry after spending hard earned dough on something that I need to live healthier. The same scenario can be applied to cars, lawn mowers, washers/dryers, power tools, etc.....When ever you buy something or even if you are given something there is always a chance that it will fail. The ways in which it could fail range from "doesn't do what I want" to "damn near killed me and the poor fella next to me".

I agree but some people live hand to mouth. Should they choose a provari or a disposable and feed their family? Of course they will be able to Vape but hey who needs food or a roof over their head or heat for their home or new shoes for their kid when they have juice they can Vape on their $250 provari or REO.

If they are struggling to feed, clothe, or keep a roof over their/or their families head even a disposable vape should be the least of their concerns.
