Oh, and to answer the rest of your post... LOL

Most of the cats I had growing up were mixed breeds. I had a Maine .... once that was HUGE. He was a whopping 25lbs. Funniest cat ever. Had to eat AT the table with us - scrambled eggs were his favourite. LOVED to play in the water and would often take baths with me. Chased dogs - that was the funniest.

As far as new breeds... have you looked into Savannahs?

Savannahs are big and not nice cats..being a bengal breeder and seeing first hand at how wild bengals are and knowing their jungle blood content is very low, the savannah has a much higher jungle cat genetic make up..i am wondering if I should just stay away from the spotty cats of any kind. My one bengal female I have left is so wild and has to live in a cage..poor thing but she is bad..sprays on everything!

That's why I love my Oriental breeds! They're the sweetest, most loyal cats ever. And talk about affectionate - definitely not aloof and snobbish! But you already know that with your experience with the Sphynx and Siamese.

The lilac really is a stunning color. So is the cinnamon. The picture I posted of Kali's papa almost makes him look brown, but he was quite a vivid color - pretty much exactly the color you see when you look into a jar of ground cinnamon.

Are you looking for another cat for breeding stock, or for a pet?

I'm thinking about getting another cat myself. I think Kali needs the companionship. I have my eye on your white marble Bengal/Sphynx. ;)

I keep looking at your orientals Blondie..the more I look, the more I see the snuggle photo of you and your little baby that passed away, the more I love them! I am just so touched at your story and the battle you had to go through to save his life. UGH..it makes me tear up!! I love my babies so much and when i hear of death, or an owner fighting to save their life..I pray hard they make it! I am such a lovebug when it comes to animals..they don't have to be mine, but I tell ya, I love them all even if they aren't mine.

So Blondie, the research is beginning and I have been doing more research online about orientals. Being a fan of the asian countries, and my trip to China 11 years, ago, I think getting an asian type cat with the wedge head, looks to die for, colors galore, and that personality to boot, would be the way to go. When i get into cats, they are for breeding purposes, but are also my pets first and foremost. I did retire 2 of my bengals and placed them in pet homes before xmas. But they went to my co workers homes from the petstore I used to manage. I never rehome anything to strangers EVER. My one bengal I will keep her, she needs me and would not do well anywhere else. My snow spotted bengal is gone to my ex bf's house. We are still friends..hahahahaha.

Blondie if you are wanting a Bynx as I call them, let me know! Bengal Sphynx crosses, even if it was an oops breeding, are stunning!! I am just off to take the momma sphynx and her babies to my co workers home to be babysat. I am off to the Rocky mountains in Alberta for a week! Crowsnest Pass. Dad lives there and it's breathtaking! Oh the wildlife! Deer come in the front yard all the time, and the elk and moose are everywhere! Cougars too, although never seen one and bears are hibernating right now so I won't see any.

That white one is definately a thermal kitty, and will be getting the colors in once she is older. Yes she is a girl. I think I will be giving one to my sister as well. She lives in the Crowsnest Pass too. I want to give her one of the little boys. I think I only have one boy in the litter. hahahahaha. When the babies get bigger I will definately post photos! I think I just might want to get into orientals. I will let you know what I decide, and thank you very much for the info on your beautiful kitties!!! I am just in awe of their beauty!

It wasn't even a decision I had to think about. As I told my boyfriend and vet when they asked me if I wanted to put him down, euthanasia has a 0% chance of recovery. I owed it to him to at least give him a chance.

And he fought hard... He seemed to be getting better at one point - I got his temp up to 37.5 from the 36 at the vets and I gave him IV fluids every 12 hours. He'd even started getting his mobility back and would try to run. But eventually his organs started shutting down and his lungs filled with fluids. Finally, I told him that it was okay to go, and to stop fighting. He died within a minute after I said that. It was like he was waiting for my permission.

I didn't get out of bed for a week. My mother told me that I would feel better if I had a shower and did my hair. My sister told her to eff off and leave me alone. LOL. My boy had been with me for almost 11 years - that's longer than any relationship I ever had. (Or my mother, for that matter. ;) )

You'll love the Orientals. They're extremely intelligent, affectionate cats. Sometimes I think they believe they're dogs. They're easily trainable. Kali likes to play fetch, Shiva used to walk on a leash, and I had them both trained to use the toilet. Some Orientals and Siamese have also been known to be "guard cats" - attacking intruders and the like. Shiva actually growled at the door once when someone knocked. I refused to answer. LOL

You know, you could breed an Oriental to your Sphynx and end up with a new breed of Peterbalds... ;)

I know I definitely want another cat, both for me and for Kali. Oriental breeds like the companionship. To the point where they even had to be in the same carrier if I took them to the vet. Hahaha. People always asked how that was possible - why they didn't fight... I'd answer, "They're Oriental breeds. They'll howl if you separate them, and you do NOT want to hear that."

I'm definitely thinking about one of those Bynxes! (I LOVE that. Haha.) What do you think their personalities will be like?

I am just off to take the momma sphynx and her babies to my co workers home to be babysat. I am off to the Rockie mountains in Alberta for a week! Crowsnest pass. Dad lives there and it's breathtaking! oh the wildlife! Deer come in the front yard all the time, and the elk and moose are everywhere! Cougars too, although never seen one and bears are hibernating right now so I won't see any.

Have fun on your trip! I love the Rockies - I can see them from here. ;)

Mamma kitty is doing just grand! I had an oops with this litter. She tied with my silver marble bengal cat and so this litter is half sphynx and half bengal. Damn! But boy are they cute. She had 5 babies and they are all marbles like my bengal, and one white one that will have very faint marbling throughout her body when she grows bigger. They are just stunning, but not a practice that I do. I only breed purebreds! The Pina Collide I vaped from canadian made ejuice for your electronic cigarette during the birth made everything so much better!!

Here is a few pics of my polydactyl, Rusty is double pawed front AND back. He showed up on my doorstep and hung around a few weeks before we let him in to stay. No one in the neighborhood knew whose he was, and he was desperately hungry when he first showed up. That was 2 1/2 years ago.

I wonder if this was one of the breeders we had to pull from our breeder list when I worked at the two petlands in Saskatoon as assistant manager. I tell ya, it was hard. I don't like how they have breeders who breed for petlands..and i do believe some of the pups came from mills. I remember a mill out by swift current and then another one in Assiniboia, SK. Soooooooo sad. Glad you got those boys Vapo, they look spoiled rotten and so loved!!!

OMG Love the poly and bless your heart for keeping him. OMG I want to snuggle him..he looks so cuddly!!!!

He is very cuddly, he has not been declawed and even during rough play(my boys are ages 3 and 4) he has not scratched. Sometimes its the pets that pick who they want as caregivers, we feel lucky that he chose our family.

I had a cat with a "baseball glove" once. He was a riot. And on an aside, I think declawing is inhumane. But I digress...

Totally agree that pets can pick us. When I was about 10 we went to a shelter to pick out a cat. The ugliest cat there (and I mean U.G.L.Y.) reached out of her cage as I was walking by to look at all the cute kittens. She stuck her claws into my coat, and pulled it back into her kennel. So here's this little girl with her ear stuck to the cage, saying "Mom, I think this one wants to come home with us..."

We did take her home, and she ended up being one of the most beautiful, affectionate cats I'd ever owned.

Just wanted to say hi from the Rockies! Since I don't have kids, I wanted to post my borrowed kids. My sister and brothers. I got 4 nephews and a niece out here in the Crowsnest Pass. Meadow is my brothers girl, my beautiful niece and Ryder is his boy. My sister has 3 boys, Alex, Lyndon and Tristan. So I can't just keep these precious souls out of the loop! I am off to British Columbia tomorrow for some fun in Fernie and then home to Saskatchewan on saturday!!! Woot! Can't wait to see what the mail man brings me. I have been busy in the Rockies online ordering more stuff to vape!!!
