Kat and Blondie, thank you so much for your words of encouragement and wisdom! I hear what you are both saying, and I know this is not my fault. I know what he did was wrong. I just wish it never happened and I have my cat back. It is hard, as my animals are my family. My whole career revolves around them, and it has been so difficult when one of your furkids was ripped away like that. My mom and I had a huge falling out. I have not spoken to her for a couple of weeks because of it. She went to the guys house last friday to get reno supplies. Ya the guy gave the stuff to my mother, but not me. But refused the cat. Then the son of the guy started messaging and threatening me. It is a nightmare. I filed another report with the police on the son's threats. The police officer in charge of the case called me yesterday. He asked me if the guy asked me to leave. I said yes and I told him I won't go without my stuff. So the police officer told me, that there may be a problem in charging him then. I said what the f? He caused bodily harm and put me out of commission! Then he said he has to talk to him, and hear his side of the story and somewhere in the middle will be the truth. So he said, that I do believe you that he assaulted you, but according to the law, he can remove you off his property if you don't leave and then gave me a bit of a lecture about going there without the cops in the first place. I said to him I have known that man for 6 years, and his kids, and was in a relationship with him, and he was doing reno's out here and has my cat. How was I supposed to know he would react that way?
This morning victim services called and is sending me out pamphlets and told me about a fund they have to pay for my councelling. She will call me again next week and she was so very nice to talk to. I told her I am not eating and sleeping or leaving my home because of fear. I told her that he has threatened me and my dogs and that he knows how to reach me, through my pets. He knows it will kill me if anything ever happened to them.
I just feel so helpless, violated, scared, in shock still, angry, hurt, god the list goes on. I am so upset that my own mother sided with him. She went there to get the stuff, and the kids told her vicious vicious lies about me and she believed them, came here to drop off the reno's she got from him and then laid into me, yelling and screaming at me for going over there and that I caused this ..... I am just beyond spent emotionally now cuz of it. I go to see a lawyer this week and find out what will happen. I don't get it. I just don't. I am such a good person, with such a big heart. To have this happen while on stress leave from work, has just set me back so far. I was to consider and follow through with getting into vet tech school and I can't even think to do that right now. This has probably set me back a few months from persuing anything, even going back to work. I applied this morning for regular benefits with EI because my stress leave benefits ran out this past saturday. Was on it 4 months. Ugh..I am just so distraught today about everything.
I appreciate the shout outs from you gals on here, I really do, and I was going to right ya Blondie last night when you gave me a shout out on the PM, but I just couldn't. I was lost for words. And Dopeh and Vapo too, and Lelly, Sharon, Dusty and all the private pm's I have gotten from people I don't even know! You guys are truly fantastic for jumping in during my time of need to lend me a hand. You guys really have kept me going here! RachelCoffe and AlbertaClipper whom knew about this right from the beginning, you guys have also been keeping me afloat when I needed ya! Al at www.cdnvaper.com too, for sending me well wishes personally. I hope I did not miss anyone!

Ditto that. Unfortunately, your situation is now a bit of a he-said, she-said. That being said, he still has no right to keep things that you can prove belong to you. I would still go back to the police and ask for an escort to help you remove the rest of your belongings and your cat.

Danes, I'm sorry to hear that you're still shaken up, but with the support from counselors and friends, I'm sure you'll be back to your old self in no time. I do hope you can get your beautiful cat back soon, also. I enjoyed your pics of your wedding and of the souks (boy, you get around!). I really do enjoy being around my husband's Arabian friends and being in such an exotic setting.

Oh you lucky duck! Take me with you! I have some peeps I talk to from Saudi, well actually most of my online peeps are arabic or East Indian. Go figure, tall dark and handsome is how I like it. But hun, you enjoy yourself. The ecig thing over there will work like a charm! Hey, make sure to get on those internet cafe's there ok! Cuz I always worry when a Canadian women steps foot into a Muslim country. Not that there is anything wrong with muslims, it is just different. If you know what I mean!
Yeah, I do know what you mean. The nice thing about the Eastern Provinces is that they're fairly Westernized and accustomed to seeing all those Brazen Western women walk around with abayas but no hijabs on their heads! I've seen Western women walking with their children unaccompanied in the malls, and it's all good, but I just don't go out and about without hubby around (except for my marathon shopping session at Ikea in al Khobar LOL). I do get the evil eye from the occasional Muttawa but hubby's close to tune them in if they try anything. I have a much easier-to-wear hijab coming in the mail so maybe I'll wear it more when I'm out, just to fit in a bit better. Abayas there can be so fancy! Even though they have to be black still, there are those with Chanel logos and gold threading on them, etc. so I feel very outclassed by the women who wear them, and who know how to pin their hijabs (unlike me).
I have an air card to use for surfing at his little room while he's at work, so I hope to pop in on ECF if there's credit on it (hubby forgets sometimes!).
I should have a nice visit this time because we're going to go camping in the desert. It's a really popular pastime for the city dwellers, so my husband and his friend Khalifa rent out tents and such for them. It's not so hot yet that it should be a good go of it. Last August when I went, it was so hot, I just couldn't go outside at all for more than 5 minutes.
At least in Canada, when it's cold, you can bundle up. When it's hot though, there's only so much you can take off!
Hey everyone, I just wanted to update you all. I am off to the lawyers in a half hour. I am very nervous and scared. I haven't slept a wink either. I have been up since 830pm yesterday. I hope I crash when I get home. I have to take Justice my great dane for her surgery at 4pm. I have all my documentation regarding Xanadu my snow bengal that Enrico is holding hostage. I have bill of sale, a receipt from paypal that I paid her to the breeder on my visa through my paypal account. I have posts on facebook about her being there for mousing, and I have photos and my website. I have the contract that is signed by both me and the breeder as well. UGH..this is hard. This is the first step. If I get her back, I know that I can deal with the assault. Right now I just need my baby girl home. Then I can break down. That's what I will do. Hang tough as I can then have a break down once she is home. I will talk with you all when I get home! And thanks for the support you guys!!!! You all mean so much to me!!
