I was experimenting on how to photograph my baby Ha-y-ns, and the best I came up with is a camera set on auto flash, and photographing them by candlelight. Somehow the light seems to bring up the grain a little bit bolder. BTW, I just realized none of Brad's carved creations have been shown off in the wood mod thread! Such a shame since the group in there are total wood junkies. lol Half of them have HUGE collections, but almost none are carved, and they seem to be seriously coveted. Anyway, if any of you with carved beauties want a LOT of adoration and attention, here's the place to show off your photos. lol

It's very pretty wood to see in person. Very smooth to the touch.

Ok, so I talked to my son today and asked how his vaping was going. According to him, it isn't going much at all. So, I asked him if he had a mod, would that possibly cause him to vape more often and smoke less often. I even showed him several different kinds of mods on the internet. VV, 3.7v, plastic box mods, Silver bullets, wood mods, etc. I probably showed him over 30 different sorts of mods and explained what vv was and how it worked differently than the eGo battery kit he has now.

Flat out, he told me he was not, at this time, interested in a mod because he only vapes in his home and in his pick-up while going to/from work. Other than that, he still likes his analoges. He said that for him, a mod would just be me wasting $ on him :( Maybe when he gets a little older and a little smarter, that may change for him. I can hope that it does.

That being said, I found the PERFECT picture of a carving for me. It is the Chinese character for the word "tiger" on a tattoo concept picture of, (what else?), a tiger. With my nickname really being Tiger, (since I was a little girl), and being born in the Year of the Tiger it is Puuuuuuurrrrerfect for me, yes?

So, Brad, when I can rat-hole enough $$, I am going to ask that you carve this for me on some curly Koa if you feel up to it. It won't be for a couple of months, yet. I just got yet another medical bill in the mail today for another $459 to pay and there are more that will be on the way, I am sure *sigh*

All of it - minus the water marking, My guess is that you will have to use transfer paper to get it onto the wood to be able to carve like the picture. I don't want it as big as what the photo shows, or that would be one honking big wood mod. It would need to be resized to about 33% of its current size to fit on something that I could actually be able to hold. My hands are not very large. I am only 5'4" tall and I have a difficult time making the bridge on my dreadnought guitar. (Yani by Alvarez). I really have to s t r e t c h my fingers to bridge it....
