Well, I just got mine.

The quality is on the worse side of the clone scale, at least in mine.

1. Threads had to be cleaned up with a dremel
2. The inner brass piece has all kinds of burrs
3. Voltage drop is pretty bad. I will try to sand it a bit and report back
4. standard 350 battery seems about 1.5mm too long. The threads still catch, but they leave a noticeable gap. I'll try to dremel off the knob where it touches down a bit and report back
5. Floating positive contact seems too short. Most my atomizers don't push it far enough to make a good contact.

I will try to fiddle with it and see if there will be any improvement. As is, it looks very pretty, but I wouldn't really use it.

:(

Which one? Please tell me it's NOT the CHammer!

Hammer mod - Shenzhen Hcigar Technology Co., Ltd.

I got mine from Activape. According to them, it's an HCigar version.

I sanded down the inside of the brass sleeve, now it fits a 350 battery better.

Sanded the floating pin lightly, and outside of the brass sleeve, hoping to improve contact. No luck.

Good thing that all the threads are compatible with Chi You. Putting the 510 connection of the Chi You clone onto my Hammer fixes the severe voltage drop. And adds airflow control too :)

The switch is compatible with Chi You as well, so now I can put the magnetic switch on it. Too bad I only have one Chi You.

To reiterate -- it may be just the one I have, but it sucks big time out of the box. Replacing some parts makes it very decent.

id have sent it back if it was in that sort of shape!..... the one i have is immaculant (HCigar) and no issues whatsoever. a little voltage drop ( about 0.05+/-) but nothing big. my threads are perfect and eveything ive put on it sofar works flawlessly. ive put the aga t2, agi, kracken, protank, kayfun, ismoka mega and the protank II on it and havent had an issue yet ( knock on wood). dont know about the button top issue though i use strictly flat top high drains on all of my stuff.

Anyone having problems removing the battery without tearing the whole mod apart???

I decided to remove the white plastic sleeve (battery goes in it) that is in the brass tube, I hope it won't be an issue..

Yup. I had to remove the plastic sleeve too.

Wow. Sorry to hear about your hammer issues. I have literally none of those problems.

My threads are great.
Zero burrs in brass piece.
0.00v drop.
Standard button top battery when inserted with pos side in first, fits fine. But there is a thread or two that stays exposed. I will have some flat tops tomorrow and expect them to fit perfectly.
Haven't had the pos pin problem with any attys I've tried so far.

Sounds like you got a lemon. Is yours tobeco or hcigar? Mine is tobeco.

EDIT. I posted too soon. Disregard.

I wouldn't remove the plastic sleeve but it's probably not bad to do so. What I do to remove the batt is to slightly unscrew the 510 deck. The pressure from that and the atty stop the batt from sliding out. Just twist and slap and bobs your uncle.

Well, woke up today and had 2 hammer clones in the mail box :)

I got one Hcigar clone from a coop and a Tobeco one from ebay.

Hcigar clone:

+All the logos and the 510 connection engravings and paint look great
+Great threading all around
+Nitpicking, but the venting holes are "aligned", i mean, something like this
*
* *
* *
*
+Works fine with my panasonic and efest batteries(18650-18500-18350)
-The button is so light that even sitting it in the wrong position fires the mod.

Tobeco clone:
+The button is sturdy, and the markings on it are better.
-Efest 18350 batteries won't fit, i'm using efest 18500 with 1 of the extension tubes.
-Logos and the paint on the 510 connection are sub par compared to the Hcigar one
-Nitpick again but the venting holes aren't aligned to anything :p

I'm not using any tools or anything to measure, but both hit just fine imho. I decided to use the tobeco switch on the Hcigar clone because i can use it in my pocket in 18350 mode without fear of it firing as easily as the other switch.

Overall i prefer the Hcigar, the fact that it takes all the batteries without a problem makes it a much better mod to my eyes, even with the light button that is easily fixable.
