No doubt, nail on the head there, Wally...

What do you do when a storm is approaching? prepare....

We don't get many dangerous storms up here in Chicago Zip. But I still remember those pics of the aftermath of your house and I know for sure you are, or will be prepared for the worst of any threats.

Until this issue came at hand I was reluctant to give my email to the whitehouse.gov site, but this was important enough to register and sign. I urge all you folks to follow that link and sign up to let your voice be heard.

That's funny. You don't think they had it and monitor it already.:) Anything and everything out there is constantly being scanned.

Yes, when the politician's call for transparancy, it's not so we know what's going on in the Gubment...it's so THEY know what's going on with us :D

the only issue really is nic liquid - which may be a downer for me since i get thru rather a lot of it! But i don't see that they can do much about say wool, batteries, chargers or wire anytime soon without annoying the hell out of grannies - hobbyists - electrical engineers etc.

It is easy enough to use RBAs and be largely self sufficient as far as supplies go. 100ft of kanthal wire will last me over 5 years even if i blow a coil up once a week! What worries me is that by taxing liquid more heavily - it will make the cost of cigarettes seem that little more worthwhile and accessible and that is really just the law of unintended consequences i.e. a badly thought out money-grabbing exercise!

What you should all realize is this, these are vaporizers, they produce vapor. whatever the fda does will pertain to ecigs and juice, i still dont see how they can beyond the cig style in terms of any regulations, and i dont see how they can go after anything other then what they deem to be tobacco related which is the juice and nic. If the juice is 0 nice i dont see how they can go after juice at all.

Putting that aside, theier ruling wont affect other types of vaporizers which we dont discuss here. In the end, vendors should be able to change the language and call the products for what they are, PERSONAL VAPORIZERS and be able to continue selling them, from that point on it will be the juice we all will have to deal with since that is where the fda will focus on

I feel pretty much like badkola in what they are going to be able to focus on... even still PG and VG is used in more than just e-juice, so even that may not get addressed either... which of course still leaves the nic itself. The flavorings may also be something to consider as long as they claim to taste anything like tobacco of any sort... In the end, we will have to wait and see what happens.

Assuming the worst isn't what I'd recommend but at the same time... it does allow us to prepare none the less.

So look at stocking up on non-perishables... like various wicking materials and wire, good quality rebuildables of some type that can last for years that fit your style of vaping, a quality built all mechanical PV that again can last for years to come. Electronic PV's will fail at some point no matter how good they are, a mechanical can always be repaired if a connector, screw or switch gets worn. For that matter, it isn't much of a mod to make a box or flashlight into a PV either.

While I certainly agree with everyone here, there is mention that ANY vaping device, regardless of what you want to call it, CAN be banned if it was: Designed, Manufactured, Sold post 2007.

I am not one to risk or compromise my current vaping experience whatsoever. Like many of you, I have begun a earnest stockpiling effort. I have enough wick to reach Danno's and back, 500ml of 100mg Nic juice on hand, with another 1000 ml ordering tomorrow.
My MOD selection is decent, Batt count is decent, but not done ordering. Delivery devices increasing ten fold over what I already have not to mention 3 RBA's in the works. SS mesh on the way, 200+ feet of Kanthal on hand.

My thnking about the RBA's is simple..They should last a lifetime even when all my Kangers and CE3's have long bit the dust. SS Mesh and Kanthal will NEVER be messed with by the FDA..Way too many other uses..

Here, there, everywhere!
True. These are just some thoughts I am having right now. I'll bet others with a brain are having them ,too. Assuming the govt. is bulky and slow doesn't fly any more. Stuff changes overnight. I'd keep my eyes open if I were you.

btw...just because nathkiira and I are from the South doesn't mean we have a "get er done" brain dead attitude..as you so insultingly imply

Really? Little touchy there if you are taking that as an insult..............just my opinion........

Just to discuss one point... and qualify another.

I suspect that the FDA will focus on the word e-cig device and not so much on personal vaporizor... if correct, then the resellers of these will simply need to reword their adverts in order to get around any restrictions ... obviously that is IF the FDA only uses the words such as e-cig in their description.

Battery - this is certainly an area that you won't be able to get around if the devices ( e-cig and/or vaporizer etc ) are made specifically for that purpose, such as the 510, 801, 808, 901, eGo, Go-Go etc... BUT replaceable batteries such as the 10440, 14500, 14650, etc etc... won't be restricted in any manner since too many other types of devices use these as well.
