All I know right now about endotoxin levels is Ive got to stop reading about endotoxin levels and go to bed.
[...]
But Ive just started. I have some gaps in my understanding and knowledge that I need to work on regarding endotoxins.
Worrying about every potential hazard in life is a sure way to have an absolutely joyless existence.

Hello, i just joined this forum to bring to light something i have found. i have been vaping for the past 3 years and after i switched to a higher watt mod i started to really get a lot of gastrointestinal problems & i mean severe problems so serious in fact i couldn't keep a job for more than a month or 2, i never figured it was vaping cause i enjoyed it to much, i ended up in the hospital with an infection in my intestines, diverticulitis, now if i take 1 hit off my vape i end up having sulfur burps and end up having to wear an adult diaper because i lose all bowel control it was so bad that i was afraid to eat anything because my stomach was so sensitive. if i ate any bread, had coffee, or swallowed my food too fast i would have an episode and have to go to the hospital. i switched back to analogs and ever since i have not had a single trip to the ER. i had 1 visit to the ER about 2 weeks out of the month. the ER staff know me by name before i even sign in because i was coming in constantly, i don't know if it is a pg sensitivity or what but i have quit vaping because of it and i have not had any problems since.

OK, I'm sorry. I was being a bit snarky. I doubt the diverticulitis came from your recent change in vaping style. Nic can irritate the GI system a bit, and if you over did it or if you had an allergy...IDK.

What country are you in, and what nic level were you using, and how "clean" do you think the juice was?

I've never heard of all of that at once and being attributed exclusively to vaping, although like I said, it could make some problems more apparent.

The thing with vaping is that I personally find it LESS irritating to the GI system than gum or lozenges, since you inhale the vape (still irritates though).

Sorry, I’m not saying I doubt you, but for what I know about vaping this absolutely make no sense... only if you’re vaping a very poor and contaminated juice, but even so it sounds a little bit strange. Have to do with another health problem you had but didn’t know yet, I guess...

i know it didn't come from vaping, people have that for many years and dont know it until something aggravates it

and to vimagreg, i actually do have type 1 diabetes and have had it for 14 years. i am not saying vaping is bad because i would go back in a heartbeat if i could but i have tried to take it back up again with the same results. and yes i do believe it does have something to do with another issue. but the fact is that vaping has made my condition unbearable

I'm sorry Mitchmadd that you had such a terrible experience. It's possible that the nicotine, and/or as you say some allergy to ingredients in juice, aggravated your situation. Vaping isn't for everyone.

I suppose you could try several things:
1) vape unflavored juice.
2) lowest mg that you can manage and still stay off the smokes, or even 0 mg to help with the habit part.
3) try 100% VG or 100% PG unflavored low mg and see if either works for you
4) avoid clouds, don't use the high watt stuff.

But maybe you'll just have to try other methods of quitting. If NRTs don't work, maybe you're a candidate for other solutions like the Chantix or whatever.

Good luck to you. :)
Sorry for the snark, your first post was a bit...vague...in details.

Congratulations on your coincident recovery. A wise person would remain vaping abstinent.

    No you can't
No reason to discuss the details of some paid for study. You guys covered it good.

Praise the vaping god's they took mercy on me. There was no way I could have stop smoking back in 2010 after being diagnose with colon cancer. Nine years later and no ILL effects from vaping. Semi healthy going on 75 middle age man.

I am in more danger from our food supply then I ever could be from vaping.

I say if your not coughing or spitting up blood. Enjoy the extra years the vaping gods have giving you.

Do yourself a huge favor, educate yourself about divirticulitis. Your life will thank you. I live with the condition (diverticulosis) and I've had it for 18 years. Diet is important and trust me, your vaping has nothing to do with it.

Divirticulitis is just inflamation of the divirticuli in the small intestines which can lead to infection. I can almost guarantee the Cipro or Flagyl used to treat is wreaking havoc on your stomach and that's what is causing your gastrointestinal issues. Once again, this has nothing to do with vaping.

Metamucil, proper diet, and staying away from all nuts and seeds will pretty much keep most of my attacks at bay. I have even found drinking more than 3 beers can wreak havoc on my condition as well.

    Hey Mitch,

I have chronic stomach problems and have to vape all VG liquid with no flavorings. It causes me no problems unless I go above 12mg strength. I make my own juice. The taste is boring but my emphysema improved 100% when I switched to ecigs, so there's no going back for me. I like breathing:)

Uuuuh…. You joined a vaping forum just to say that? Why? So that other seekers of the placebo mystery illness can band together with you?

(By the way, I am not saying your illness isn't real. I am not even saying you SHOULD vape ESPECIALLY since when you got called on the illness you ACTUALLY mentioned and then it became a different, mystery illness?)

    Which is it?

This would be like me joining a cigar connoisseur forum and my telling them it made me turn into Arnold Schwarzenegger and I didn't like the musculature and then when I got called on it, I'd be like, "Well, I did start weight lifting around that time, but its really [insert mystery illness]"

I mean, I would have a hard time even taking MYSELF seriously on that one.

If It's diverticulitis, you can vape. You can tell us what the other mystery illness is like if you grew a penis or something perhaps we can also help.

I'm not making light of your illnesses by the way, but I do find your posting style a bit opaque.
