Good for you Almond! Hope things are back to normal after your surgery.
I hit my 1 year mark of not smoking and now am trying to wean myself off e-cigs. I may continue to vape once in a while..but I am not feeling the need to do it all the time anymore. I also live with a smoker who uses a P.V. from time to time.
This ends a 37 year, 2 pack a day habit!
Hope for us is out there people..keep vaping!

I went from a pack and a half of reds chain smoking to zero smokes from day one. year and a half now and also found myself going from chain vaping to easily going without if need be...

the first or second week I got caught in the field with dead batts and bought a pack of smokes, lit one, found it disgusting and chucked the whole pack.

Sometime a few months back (not sure exactly) I bummed one and lit it just to see..... uggh.... chucked it as well after 2 puffs....

I have significantly reduced the vaping with MBL snus mild and spearmint while at work...

I'm about to hit my four week analog free date in another day. I started vaping with a 510, still smoked between 2-4 cigs a day. About a month in got so frustrated with the inconsistancy of it and crept up to 6-10. I ordered a couple chucks, a bunch more juice and a pile of cartomizers and vowed I would quit when I got the mod. I was truly hoping the extra oomph would get me over the hump and it has.

I commend the folks who just quit overnight with vaping. I still have days with the back of my brain whispering how good it would be to have a cigarette. When that happens I just switch to six volt vaping for the day and that usually shuts that evil little voice down. I smoked for 28 years and seem to have a small struggle with the beast from within but this time it will not win!

Do ecigrettes really contain anti freeze?

An old post, but worth clarifying. Anti-freeze used to contain ethylene glycol which is poisonous and also sweet tasting. Animals, especially dogs, found that the sweet taste was attractive and they would lick up puddles of anti-freeze where a car ran hot and leaked water and anti-freeze on the pavement. The animals usually died later!

A few years ago, in some anti-freeze the ethylene glycol was replaced with PROPYLENE GLYCOL which is a food additive that is also interchangeable with EG. The ones that still contain more than 10% EG have to have a bittering agent to keep animals from finding it palatable.

PG (propylene glycol) is used in many food applications, medicines, etc. See link below.

Propylene glycol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Here's a link that explains why we still want a cigarette occasionally after quitting, even with E-cigs.
