I just out of curiosity went to my local cancer dealer and bought a pack of cancer stixs to see if they have changed in appeal..also I was thinking of using the filter material to use as filler material. Well, I have only been vaping for about 6 weeks, I lit one up and it taste terrible. I put it out right away.

My taste buds are better, my skin is better I don't cough anymore so my lungs must be doing better. So even if the government succeeds in banning a great product I now know I will never go back to Analogs.. They can take their tax greed and stick it where the sun doesn't shine

It took me two weeks to quit smoking altogether with the e-cig. I thought it would take longer but one night, I was just done with analogs.

I see a lot of people griping about the tax hikes on analogs - but honestly didn't that push you into quitting? I know when analogs went up to $6 a pack here everyone said "Well, I guess it's time to quit." Of course I kept shelling money out for them until I remembered that e-cigarette thing that I was going to try when I had the money for a starter kit....

I had been a smoker for 50+ years I tried my first e-cig at 1030hrs on the 8th April and have not had a ciggy since, I have several different e-cigs on the go at present and as far as I am concerned they are the best things since sliced bread

WTG, Iky!

It's posts like yours that gave me the strength to quit smoking 4 months ago. I smoked for 30+ years and I'd feel like an ash-hole to ever go back to it, especially when I know people like you smoked even longer than I did and quit. You're an inspiration.

In reply to your query-- yes!

I've smoked 37 years, the last 33 using Camel Non-filters, about a pack a day.

Unable to quit, I've had limited success (quitting for a month or two) with the patch, Wellbutrin, Chantix.

I'm now happy to say I've got over two and half months without a smoke, replacing them with e-cigs.

Though 'the jury is still out', so to speak, I really feel I can continue to vape and leave the analogs alone...!!!

I've been vaping for a month and have only been analog free for a little less than a week. I have to say, it wasn't easy for me. For me it was like giving up one habit and picking up another to replace it. I thought it would be easy, but it was like I had a serious emotional attachment to analogs. It took a lot of will power. I can say that after I got my first PV I did go from smoking a pack and a half a day to smoking about half a pack a day so that was awesome. I think the key is (besides willpower) to find an ecig that you absolutely love and do everything to can to get the best possible performance out of it. If your ecig isn't performing to your liking try checking out the tips and tricks forum and the modification forum.

Won't give it up puff person here....
About 3-4 times a week I 'bum' a puff. It tastes realllllly nasty, makes me dizzy and I cough...can't inhale the smoke at all.
After 1-2 puffs I apologize, say thanks to whoever honored my request and either hand it back or put it out.

Eventually it will be nice not to need that 'drag' as a reminder.

Haven't smoked a whole one - in over a month.

BTW - 1st e-cig - 6-15-09
cardiologist/respiratory specialist visit 9-4-09
lungs clear -no rattle - no wheeze - no coughing- BP and pulse fine -
lung function - 105 (80 to 120 is 'normal/healthy)

When I asked the Dr. .. 'after 30 years of a pack and a half a day????" His answer "You must not have inhaled"

30 years of smoking....
Vaporized by my ScrewDriver!

I bet this thread is going to go down as the longest thread in history. I must add my name to the list of people who have smoked their last analog cigarette since acquiring a E-Cig. I had tried everything in the book that had come out to quit smoking with no success so I was leery to even give this a shot figuring that it was my lot in life to be doomed a smoker for life. I received my Dragon kit from Truesmoker.com on 9/11/09 and have not had a single tobacco cigarette since I opened the package. I can't believe the results I have gotten and it blows my mind that they can't market these as smoking cessation products because it sure as heck has succeeded where all the crap invented my the egghead doctors and pharmaceutical companies has done nothing but fail most people on an epic basis. I suppose I would try to hide that fact too if I was them.

I now have 2 models, the Dragon model mentioned which works great and a 510 that I bought after hearing so many good things about it and stumbling across a deal for one that was too good to pass up at $32 to my door. I had smoked tobacco for over 30 years before switching over to E-Cigs. It's almost like magic, no ill temper, no cravings, just a life free of tobacco. The only downside so far is that I do use medical marijuana and I do on occasion light it up rather than vaporize it in a different product and now that I don't smoke I can have a heck of time finding a lighter anymore, lol! I can live with that I suppose in exchange for tobacco free living.

Our experience is the same, no ill temper, no cravings, I don't feel like I am settling or missing out on not smoking an analog cig.
My device came on Sept 14 and I have not had a tobacco cigarette since.

I truly believe that I have kicked the tobacco cigarette thirty year habit instantly by vaping.

Best of luck to you.

I have no complaints and in fact I have recommended it to a friend who is anxiously awaiting his now. He lives in Canada so it is taking a little longer for him and it's driving him crazy. It's really funny to me because I ordered a 510 that was priced too good to pass up at $32 to my door. I heard good things about that model when I was doing my initial research so at that price I had to get one. Almost got a Blu but when I was looking they were really backed up with shipping so I went with the dragon and love it. My mother has even said she would like to try it when I am done with it, she may be in for a long wait. I want her to quit too so maybe I will give her one of the spare dragons....
