I told you, Ping - it's just the red ones that are problematic.

I have the Red Nano. The threads were a little crunchy when I got it but not terrible. After a couple months of carefully replacing batteries the threads are really smooth.

I ordered one from FT too.
$149.99 Authentic Lost Vape Therion DNA75C TC VW APV Box Mod - 1-75W / 200-600'F / 2*18650 / color screen at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I originally ordered a black/carbon/carbon last month (6/10) but it was delayed 3 times. I canceled on 7/3 after the last delay and ordered the silver one because some mentioned the black frame chips. It finally shipped on 7/15 so I should have it just under 2 months when I first placed an order :/.

I built 2 DNA75C with ModCrate Silo cases and they turned out pretty good. The only pre-built mods I have in rotation is 3 VaporShark (DNA40, rDNA40, DNA200) and a Hana V200 (had to replace screen and solder the ground). I have 7 mods built on MC Silo cases (900 and 1300 cases). They have been the most reliable mods I've used next to the VS's. I like the DNA75C so I built a couple but the Therion is dual batteries so I wanted one for the extra battery life.

I ordered my 75C from health cabin during the 4th-o-July SALE - couldn't be more impressed

nice price and very fast shipping (only my second time to order from not a US vendor)
I was stunned it show'd up in 4 days from Hong Kong

I'll be happy with 4 weeks. Is escribe easy to use? You got a great deal on that beauty.

yes I did, wasn't even looking for it, just found it while surfin their site and jumped on it
have been researching the three button DNA and there it was
I was prepared for like maybe a 2 week wait, needless to say I was very surprised by the speedy shipping

and yes escribe is very simple
just plug in and it does most of the work for you / checkmark here, type in a value there - click SAVE

the 75C is much more user friendly to use than the previous DNA boards

I told you, Ping - it's just the red ones that are problematic. That should have been clear from your readings too.

So, don't get a red one (which I believe is something you already earlier, ya?).

Missed me, didn't ya? :D

It's NOT just the Red ones that are problematic. I have a Yellow Hcigar vt75 Nano that isn't even 6 months old and am having serious issues. I contacted Hcigar with my warranty information and for $6.30 shipping, a new battery cap is on the way. Mine has had issues with it not threading all the way down on the battery from first use (would work but could hear battery move inside - annoying). The problem has just gotten worse over time. Now sometimes it takes several minutes to get battery cap to catch, and even then battery and cap are falling out at times.
I'm not real optimistic that new battery cap will fix, but am definitely going to give it try. It was my first mod ever, and I've taken really good care of it. I've cleaned threads and have been very careful to put cap on even. I didn't know to put some kind of grease (there's a video on YouTube now) or I would have done that long ago.
All to say issue is on all colors I think, and issue is not just a result of improper care or necessarily screwing cap on improperly. I believe there is a design flaw on some of these models. My take, fwiw.
If new battery cap doesn't work, I'm going to contact Hcigar again, but if can get it to go on really good once, will charge battery with USB cord so I can continue using. I love it, except for that.

I'm going to have to learn how to use escribe.

I like eScribe, and would encourage you to play with it. A major advantage with the c and the three button setup is the ability to do many things that normally required eScribe can now be done right on the mod. It's not a huge issue for me, as I like using eScribe, but the flexibility is nice to have, and the ability to create elaborate themes, even down to what you want the board to allow for configuration should be a useful feature.

You're only the 2nd person I know with that color, @Nailz being the first. Sorry to hear that, and yes, the battery caps & threads are very poorly designed in this mod.

As many have pointed out, they do break in, but that's not really what any of us expect, and should not be the case. They should have done better with them - that's a fact.

Thunder, wishing you luck with the new cap. I do hope you'll come back and report your findings?

Loving my Freds as well.

My yellow is pretty good, but I put nolax on the threads as soon as I got it, still wouldn't say the threads are smooth by any means, but not really any trouble to take off and on, not I do it very often though, I normally charge via usb anyway, now the red one I have to get a pair of grips on it when I 1st got it, it was that bad, but over time and with nolax, it is better than it was.

But the red has the 510 problem of not reading the resistance properly nowadays, but not really messed with it, as like the yellow more and moved on to better mods, like the Jac :)

The 510 plate screws in like the battery cap. Clean the threads and it should be back to normal. Noalox should help.

Evolv boards can charge the battery via USB w/o issue. I have about 15 Evolv mods that are only charged by USB for over 2 yrs, never had an issue. I bought a LUCv4 charger that sits in my drawer unused since using only Evolv mods. I still use a Nitecore D2 charger for LiFePO4 batteries and 18650s for my flashlights.

Thank you for your message. Will do! (Let you know). It's not catching at all now.. got it to and charged with USB several days till cap and battery fell out... I worked with it a long time and finally benched it. Noalox huh? I'll check that out too.
