Quit the cigarettes 11 months ago with no problems using vaperizor and 18mg of nicotine. For the past few months I have been experiencing some irregular heart beats. Has anybody ever experience any symptoms of what I feel?
Awesome news. I've been going to the doctor since I felt the first heart flutter. I am at 4mg ejuice, from 18, day 2. So far the symptoms are still there but way less from the compared t 18mg. The thing is that every time I have a strong flutter, it feels as if I'm going to die. The other day I had one in the car driving on the expressway and I had to pull over to the side, I told myself , this is it I'm going to die.First and foremost, get checked out by a doctor to rule anything out. You could also be having some anxiety. Could also be too much nicotine and time to drop down. I had the same problem, and mine are PVCs which are harmless if you don't have heart disease. So, get it checked out soon and put your mind at ease.!!!
I wish it was coffee but I don't drink it, 1 cup is all I've ever had in my life.My heart became a concern shortly after quitting cigs. Was jumping all around inside. Went to Primary and had Hi-BP (190).
Put me on BP meds, sent me to heart specialist. Cardio said I was fine after multiple tests. Doing great on meds.
I don't have the intensity of the issues now that I'm on the BP meds. I had been cutting back on the nic at the time and was probably down to 6mg/ml.
I'm fine now and have gone back to 18mg/ml to help other medical issues. Not slugging down coffee all day long helps..........
Let the doctors figure it out..........

Was yours a flutter followed by palpitations?
I'm feeling much better now that I'm at 4 mg ejuice, however I'm also on a high dose of magnesium and fish oil. I do hope my dr clears me of any Heart disease.I have to say it never got so bad I had to pull my car over. Yes, I get flutters then palps, but not every time. If your doctor clears you, no need to worry. But my doc did and EKG AND a holter monitor to be sure.

I have had issues with heart palps. First things, first, see the DR to rule out anything. I wore a monitor for 24 hours once. I had a really bad episode once where my heart was palping like mad for like 12 hours straight. Was the scariest thing I have gone through. Still not sure what happened with that, other than a combination of high stress, lack of water and im sure the vape contributed a little. I wore the monitor and had an EKG done and all looked "normal" to what the ER DR said. My DR wanted to put me on beta blockers, and I was for a bit, but didnt like how I felt on them so I stopped and was determined to try to figure out what was going on. (I told my DR this and he was pissy but supportive, but he IS a pill pusher).
So one thing I learned from this that one ER DR told me, was that my pulse is on the higher side of normal where normal is anywhere from 60-100 BBP, mine always seemed to hover around mid 80's to low 90's and could go up to 100. The DR said that the heart can sometimes beat out of whack when its beating faster than normal and that its usually nothing serious, but was a bit concerned that my pulse was on the normal side of high. So why was it high? Well, I can say I do have sleep apnea, and I dont use my CPAP machine as much as I should. I was also slightly over weight for my height/age. My caffine intake was up, and water intake was down. I was getting back on to vaping too, and was having trouble finding the right strength/mix/setup. Plus before I switched to a protank 3, I was a cartomizer kind of person, and I found that for some reason, cartos just made me feel off, and noticed more heart palps. Now with the PT3 I dont notice them as much, will get the odd one if I chain vape. With some life style changes my pulse has come down a bit to high 70's low 80's (dont see it hit the 100's unless Im doing something physical).
Water intake is key I find also. Like you, I also discovered a magnesium supplement (Natural Calm) that I take a few times a week that I found through speaking with some Natural Path people which I think has helped. Keep an eye on your pulse, you have a heart palp try and measure to see if its beating on the higher side.
One other thing that it might be, although rare, is something called Esophagus Spasm or twitch. This happens to people who have GERD or excessive heartburn. Ive never had firm diagnosis of this, but one DR asked me if suffer from heart burn and I do quite a bit. It seems to have gotten a bit worse since quitting smoking and made the switch to vaping...so not sure if I was having an episode of that or an actual heart palpitation in the times that Ive had it, as apparently they feel quite similar since the heart is located centrally in your chest not to far away from your esophagus. Also flavors in your juice can play a role here too.
Also a thing to keep in mind is nicotine is a stimulant, and stimulants can do all sorts of stuff to your nerves and muscles, and your heart IS a muscle. I found one of the hardest things in vaping was determining what strength of NIC to go with. I need throat hit for me to enjoy vaping, but dont seem to get enough with anything less that 6MG. if I go higher than 8MG I get twichy, foggy headed/stoned like and a high pulse...
Im no DR, this is just what I have gone through.... but you really should get checked out to to rule out and nip anything in the but should there be anything, for peace of mind sake. I know I will more than likely have to go on a beta blocker at some point, my mom is for a higher pulse too, and she seems to do OK with them....Im just a wuss when it comes to pills, I hate them, plus I had a hard time of dealing with being on a "heart" pill for my age...In not even 40 yet.

Have you tried stopping for a day or 2?Lots of good info here, thank you. My doc offered me beta blockers and I said I would think about it. My palps are harmless, but quite annoying, so I may go that route. Hoping not to have side effects. I am fairly sensitive to pills, but I heard they do well for palps and also for anxiety, which I also suffer from.
Good luck to you and thanks for sharing your story!!![]()

One of the oldest remedies, been around for 30 years, and is so safe that pregnant women can take, is the famous RESCUE REMEDY.
Dr. Bach developed all these homeopathic flower essences (extremely diluted in water).
I've used rescue remedy for 20+ years now... I stopped using it for a number of years, then started again when I gave up smoking and took up vaping.......I believe it is what helped me go from 24mg down to the 3mg I'm at now.
Look it up on amazon. Bach Rescue Remedy.
They also have it for pets.....one of my senior citizen dogs hates the vet, and I give him a little beforehand, seems to help him
Man... the very first ingredient must have been developed with ME in mind! "For those who act and think quickly, and have no patience for what they see as the slowness of others. They often prefer to work alone. Teaches empathy and understanding of and patience with others. We’ve found it very fast-acting in alleviating an impatient attitude and lowering stress." Although I'd really rather speed up others, that seems impossible, so this might be really useful for me.Even better, I see they have a formula of the drops which is marketed for "kids," but the important fact is that it's ALCOHOL FREE. This particular 53-yr-old kid doesn't do alcohol so that's really great. I think once we get past these couple of short checks, I really need to get some of this.
