But what is with that bubblegum aftertaste? Both VR and HHV have it in some of their samples. Nobody can seem to give me an adequate answer on that.

For what it's worth, Charlz, that's something I've noticed once (on Heavenly Army, I believe), but there wasn't a hint of it when going back a week later after steeping.

I can't tell you what it was, but I can say that the one time I noticed it, it didn't last.

Welcome back Tricky! Fun trip?

Yep! Did some scouting of places for my future home in Texas, and got to spend lots of time with my valentine, which is always a good thing. It always goes by a little faster than I'd like, though. And it involves flying, which I enjoy about as much as infected hangnails. Still, yes, it was a fun trip. :)

Not that I didn't like HHV, it's just that the samples I got did not get close to what I was looking for. They were all more along the vein of cigar and pipe tobaccos as opposed to a cigarette tobacco, like SI's Desert Joe or VR's Organic tobacco. Neither tastes to me like cigar or pipe tobacco. Subjective yes. But what is with that bubblegum aftertaste? Both VR and HHV have it in some of their samples. Nobody can seem to give me an adequate answer on that.

The HHV NETs are pipe tobaccos. They aren't billed as cigarette tobaccos, and I daresay most of us aren't looking for cigarette flavor. I've never tasted bubblegum.

HHV isn't for everyone, but you can still hang out with us even if you don't like them, we're a friendly bunch.

If you're looking for cigarette I can suggest some juices. Acadian Gold, Wrangler Lite, and Wild Turkey from Goodejuice.

My labs think they are carto punch tools. I'm sure they were trying to be helpful.

It's a mechanical mod, so nothing fancy except for the sweet looks.

I used to run on Ego-likes, so the AW IMR is an improvement for me though.

On this photo it's the mini version with 18350. It comes with an extend to run on 18650.
But it looks so cool with the 18350 !
I don't know what to expect with battery life as it's my first mod.

I tried the HHV sampler and was disappointed. Maybe it's just me but ok, here goes.
1. Dark Horse - tasted like a mild cigar. Not a cigarette, a cigar.
2. Juntsman - same as Dark Horse but with a bubblegum aftertaste
3. Heavenly Tobacco - Tastes like RY4 and some flowery sweet taste that I didn' care for. I'v had better Ry4's.
4. Legend - tasted like a really nice complex pipe tobacco, mild, sweet notes, pretty good if you like pipe tobacco.

To me, Huntsman and Dark Horse taste the same only Dark Horse is a lighter version of Huntsman. But, both of them are somewhat like Desert Joe or Desert Ship at other vendors.

I've never experienced the bubble gum aftertaste you mention.

Based on what you are looking for, you might like the 'baccos at Vaping Zone. They have a few that are more like real cigs simulations.

You know, I think my next purchase will be a mechanical mod. I really enjoy using my 1.7 ohm cartos which work fine on a plain old ego. I actually like them better than higher res on my vv devices.

When I first started vaping a few weeks ago, I thought I wanted my vape to taste like a cigarette. After trying all of these great flavors, cigarette smoke is the last thing I want it to taste like lol

The first bottle of juice I ordered was 36mL of Desert Ship because it was supposed to taste like a camel analog. It is the worst thing I have ever tasted :puke:

I'll have to look into it more Buggs. I don't know how they set up their electronics but I know it doesn't act like PWM. Take a look at the charts that Busardo provides (around the 10:30 mark if you want to skip ahead). The Provari delivers a constant voltage per the desired setting whereas the PWM Young June jumps all over the place while averaging out the desired setting. His charts clearly show that. So not sure how ProVari says theirs is PWM. But then I'm not an electrical engineer either. I know enough to be dangerous is all. :) Maybe I'll get my good friend Xfoo to get to the bottom of it.

As you may have surmised by now, the Provari uses PWM at a very high Hz rate so the duty cycles are very short to begin with. On top of that, they employ an electronic filter similar to a current conditioner which makes the DC output flat, accurate and constant. It's a much more expensive way to achieve a vv option which is why we see most of the recent (cheaper) devices using unfiltered signals at 33Hz. You get what you pay for. I still want to see Provari include a vw option using the DNA20 chip which would safely allow it to deliver 20 watts of regulated power. Then you could use a protected boosted device with ultra-low resistance attys. It would open their market to genesis power users.
