73,
tumblr_md5je8KMPx1qlxz9yo1_500_large.jpg

I hope you do take some strength from all of our continued thoughts and prayers. Thank you, again, for keeping us posted.

Chak, I hope your tummy's all better! Glad that you're totally loving your long-awaited juices!

Good luck with your presentation in Baltimore, Lion, and I hope you do get some more assistance at your office!. Perfectly okay to complain a bit...Lion, yes, but you do seem sometimes to work like a dog:ohmy:!

Papaw, how cool that you gave such a great gift to Dale:2cool:. Hope you love your PB, Dale!

HUGE props to you, Bridget, for running in that kind of heat:p! Sounds like you and Dusty have some great summer plans; I'll look forward to vicarious thrills hearing about such vacations:). Hope you both have a blast south of the border. I've had a couple great times down there, myself...depending on my health, might make the quick drive down this summer, as well. If I can come up with the $$, my dream is to make it to NOLA this year and (finally) D.C. next year.

Nope, no summer plans...can't afford much.

Nope, no alarm system research yet. They let that intruder out of jail the next day. I have no idea the charges on him, if any.

Just letting my fingernail and toenail polish dry right now...I'm typing s.l.o.w.l.y.

PB tonight...not bad. And that's a good thing since I have about 2.5 bottles well-steeped.

:vapor:

Thinking of you 73...let me know if you need anything. I'm not far at all from you.

July. This will be our 4th time, also have been to Jamaica once.

Oh, Jamaica is another MAJOR dream destination. I took a post-colonial lit class in college, and fell madly in love with the people and the culture there (along with their delightful way with the language). Was your trip there as fantastic as I'd imagine it would be, Bridget? Did the people there woo you, as well?

I'm kinda with you, RJ...right now, I'm not too sure I'll actually be able to afford a summer vacation, other than that very inexpensive drive to Mexico. I know you'll find plenty of fun because you're the type of person who creates fun around you. Still hoping you make that drive w/ your BFF that'll include a trip to HHV headquarters!

April I see the picture and you look lovely....Have a great time tonight Dusty...I won't last long as I'm pretty tired again tonight.

We really are a lot alike. My energy level is low so I started taking a B-complex daily vitamin. I'm not sure if it's working, if I was lacking, just getting old, or what...but I think I feel a little better. I need to make my doctor's appointments soon. Blood work is important.

[/lurk] Just gotta say that though there's no way I can keep up with this thread for full participation, I love lurking here. Heck, I can't even read every page! Don't know how you folks do it. Watching all y'alls ups and downs makes it very real - especially for a bunch of Internet personas with wacky avatars.

And it was you folks who turned me on to HHV before getting your own sub-forum. Just pulled out some PB that I've been saving and WOW! Now I remember why I save PB for the quiet times. I had to go and pour a good glass of whiskey to go with it - 'cause they just belong together.

My summer plans won't take me to Mexico. Probably building Marlin lures most of the time. I WILL have to test them all summer in the Gulf of Mexico - from the northern side. Hope you vacationers take advantage of a good opportunity!

So, best wishes 73. And keep on vapin' & typin' HHV Army. This thread has everything needed (sans car chases & explosions?) for good entertainment - including some drama. :) :(

Thanks to the whole HHV Army and, of course, Heather and Adam!

Our last big vacation was to Gatlinburg TN three years ago. Gosh that was so much FUN! I haven't been to a beach since 2006. We do a lot of short trips like to Six Flags or other theme parks. And we did a couple of wrestling shows a few years back. What were those...Monday night RAW I think? If we go anywhere it will be to Panama City Beach Florida. But I'm not too sure about this year.

I'd love to go back to Jamaica too.. It's a beautiful place but most of the "good" resorts are always around $500-1000 or more over the price of similar if not better resorts in Mexico for a weeks stay. If you ever make it to Ocho Rios, there a small restaurant called Mama Marleys that you HAVE to visit. Their Jerk Shrimp and Mango cocktails are to die for!!

Thanks, I just wrote that down in a little "dream journal" that I keep, Dusty. Some day:closedeyes:... My prof from that class that I mentioned had us all (only 9 students in the class) over to her house at the end of the semester. She made us the most incredible jerk chicken and served us the most divine Jamaican rum that you're ever gonna find. It was one of the greatest nights of my life, without a doubt. When I win the lotto, I'm headed straight to there:laugh:!

Great to meet you, Bimini Twist...hope you pop in again sometime soon:)!

I'm in the "can't afford to vacation" camp this year, sadly. I guess I will just have to live through the posts that I'm sure are to follow about people's trips. I hate to say it, but at this point I am just hoping to be able to afford some juice throughout the summer, as layoff's are imminent at my work :(. I guess I'll just have to try and stock up the next couple of weeks for any rough times ahead. I also made a note about Ocho Rios, will have to make it there someday.

Nice to hear from you Bimini. Been a long, long time. Stop in more often. You don't need to keep up with the thread.

Good Morning Army. Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

You too, Papaw. I got a lot of road work in front of me today. Headed to Norfolk and then to Baltimore. Not any really good way to get from one to the other. Sigh. It will be good to get back Friday night, whenever I do, after fighting the DC traffic going south.

If you could, try the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, take 13 up to Salisbury and US 50 West across the Bay Bridge (no toll westbound) to I-97 up to Baltimore. I'm origonally from the Eastern Shore, and it's beautiful there this time of year. Just watch your speed if you go that way, some of those little towns are proud of thier speed limits.

Hope your trip is much more pleasant than you're anticipating, Lion, and maybe that Papaw's tip makes it so. A sorta downer song by my beloved R.E.M. with an apropos title and a vibe more in keeping with the sigh drive than the one I hope it turns out to be, but I'm still gonna play it 'cause no one's here to stop me:facepalm: -

Same here in regards to the summer holiday. But then I have a different sort of conundrum too. Like uhhhh where do you go on holiday when you live in Hawaii? lolol

At least there are options Papaw - when I lived in Maine it was basically "take US 1. Keep going....keep going some more....keep going some more till your eyeballs glaze over.....then you keep going some more till your .... has become inseperable from the car seat. After a bit more of that,.... you'll be halfway there!...then guess what you do after that. Oh Joy!
