Dang it RJ!!! Now you got me in tears.... sniff....

Thinking back when my girl was in school and the English teacher gave the class an assignment to create a Father's Day card in English. The kids did the work and sent them in to her to check before they gave them to us. We had to sign the card and have our kids send it back to the teacher. On the card my daughter wrote, "Happy Father's Day, Daddy. You have been a friend I thought I never would have." The teacher had made corrections of her sentence in red ink. Something like, "You are not the friend I thought had."
So, I wrote a short note, signed the card and gave back to my daughter. Tiffanie read the note and looked at me with questioning eyes. I told her to just take the card back to the teacher. The note said, "Dear Ms. XX, I know you mean well and are doing your best to teach our children English, but please be more careful when making corrections about tense. I understood perfectly what my daughter wrote the first time.
And Friday she moved out of her aunt's house and into her own apartment (she was staying with her aunt well going to school. Graduated CSUN with a 3.48 - just 2 points shy of honours!)
