Thanks Robin... It does. Do the patches gums and mess really have a "dismal" failure rate? I know quite a few people that successfully quit using them (including my husband who quit by using the gum well over 10 yrs ago). Looks like a research day for me :)

The gum didn't work for me, but kudos to your hubby!

Exactly... So maybe they didn't really want to quit, or vaping wasn't the answer for them in the same way it has been for us. I think vaping offers another alternative method to quitting and is not unlike other methods. It works for some and not for others. I'm always hesitant to say something works while another doesn't. I prefer to keep it as "this is what I tried before, this is what worked for me".

Anyway... Yes, the moth was disgusting... I hope to never see that again. I'd rather deal with the scorpions.

I know how you feel, April. Even though the guy I introduced to vaping out here wasn't family, I still felt bad that he went back to smoking as well. However, I have two other friends that are now interested in vaping - unfortunately, neither of them are smokers!

I get that too Chak! There are oodles of non smokers in my life that ask me to try my vape-stuff. What the heck is that all about?

About the time I think I'm going to fly the work week catches up with and the couch calls me.

I'm right there with you David. You know...as I was sitting here today waiting on the HVAC guy (an idiot by the way, highly recommended by a good friend, who will not get any of my money) I was looking around and realized my house is clean. Fly Lady is flying away for me. YAY! It became like another chore. I'm old and been cleaning for years. I don't need lessons. LOL!

So I'm sitting here eating pizza and drinking beer, the to-do list has been put away, and life is back to normal. I've got to quit getting caught up in my friend's shenanigans. ;) But I wanted to thank you David...your post put things in perspective.

:toast:

And I also realized the lawn mower my Dad gave me, which he got in a deal with a friend, will be given back to him. Too big for my garage and my yard is not conducive to use it. Hell, I'm on a hill and I'm too afraid to drive it up to the backyard and it can barely fit into the fence. I don't need anything else in this house. He'll understand. So bye bye Fly Lady, and adios big ... tractor!

WOOHOO!

I'm in the band. Found that out as soon as i got there.

We went over the songs I learned (in 4 days). I was not really confident with them but a work in progress. They were ok and showed promise. Then during a little break, the guitar player starts playing Crazy on You by Heart. I start singing that. He gets all excited and we work some more with the bass player. The keyboard guy comes in and starts in. Then the drummer starts. They are blown away. They say they didn't know I could belt like that, and why didn't I tell them.

Practice ran over by an hour. We worked on that song and then tried Barracuda. I'm not as comfortable with that one, but the notes were hit. The trick is to control the note not scream it. I truly credit my ability to control those Heart songs to quitting smoking.

I'm in!!
