Morning all!

Learned a neat thing on the Kayfun Lite this week. If you can see the level of liquid in the clear part do NOT take it to work expecting it to last the day. Once the level gets below the level of the tapered chimney part there is very little juice left. All the juice storage is up in the top part. Glad I had emergency juice at work to refill.

Today I get to mow leaves. Yea?

Ha! I had to learn that the hard way too Bap. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out once you think of the geometry inside the Kayfun. But most people don't think to do that until they are left stranded.

I mowed leaves yesterday. Dudn't look like it this morning. :)

I know...I'm brutal. And I almost didn't type the ill wishes in...cause karma has a way of biting me in the .... But for the karma gods...I was just joking. I promise.
I wouldn't let karma stop ya RJ , you're just giving the wheels of karma a nudge in the right direction is all.

The best way to do it is to flip it over. If you can't see any liquid in the window, you've got too little. That's how I do it. ;)

Every few days for the past month I've been raking and bagging leaves. I'm thinking we need to just cut the 2 trees down near the driveway (too much crap lands on the cars too and is especially hard to clean off by the time the birds and squirrels are done doing their things)

I'm surrounded by trees. I'd have to cut a hundred of them to do the job right. That aint gonna happen. As messy as trees can be, I love living in the woods. My neighbor cut down some trees between our houses and I could have killed him. He got tired of the acorns. Only problem is there are dozens of other oaks and he still gets acorns. If you live in the woods, you gotta deal with it.

Just blow everything into your neighbor's yard. :D

When my trees all leaf out...I feel cocooned in my own little backyard. Except for that one neighbor beside me...so I planted tall Canna lilies to block them out. Not my house...but this is what they look like.......except the leaves of mine are purple.

True, I've been dealing with the mess for a few months now and I do like trees but these 2 in particular are leaning heavily and many of the big branches look as if they'll crash down on my car at any moment. Not to mention the roots are pushing up and causing cracks and bumps in the driveway and walkway leading up to the front door. We get extremely high winds and driving rain at times which also makes me think about cutting them down. Sigh.

Yes, that's a different story. I had two giant oaks get struck by lightning within a year. That was about five years ago. The first strike was the worst. It cooked several thousand dollars worth of electronic devices in my house and broke a window. It splattered the front of my house with tree debris and put a bullet sized hole in my gutter (I'da been a dead man had it hit me). It also blew up some stone work I had in front of the tree. The second strike was a tree on the side and, fortunately, only fried a couple of modems.

Tree #1 is still alive and well. Tree #2 was one of the trees my neighbor cut down (even though it was also alive and well).

I've got two huge live oaks dripping with spanish moss framing the walkway in front of my house , God knows how old they are , they're probably 14-15 ft in circumference and a huge pecan tree in the backyard along with banana trees and fig trees , I'm thinking I want to plant some grapefruit and blood orange trees next year, I've got blackberries growing wild too. the backyard looks like a jungle but at least we get good eats from it.

Don't wanna even think about that if my oaks got hit they'd take my house down for sure .
