I went from 24 to 18 to 12 easy. At 6 it wasn't really doing it for me, so I went back to 12. That's really not that much nic anyway.
I ordered Gandalf for the first time on July 3. I really am not sure which version I received on my first order but I loved it. Of course, all of my subsequent orders ended up being Serendipity which sent me over the moon. I LOVE that stuff. My most recent order turned out to be Gandalf #3 (Cherrydalf) which I like, but not as much as Serendipity. It's totally confusing but kind of funny.
Sure. It was fairly easy for me to transition from 24 to 18, took about a week and a half to get there. Then transitioning from 18 to 12 took me about 3 weeks. Not bad. But, going from 12 to 8/6 and now down to 3, has been a lot longer process. It's working, though, and in more than just getting over the need for higher nic, I am now starting to not need/want to vape as frequently when at work or out and about. Keeping fingers crossed and working my plan....
I got scared that I was going to relapse so I went back up to 3 mg and here I've been sitting. I am really scared to try to go to zero again. I thought that I would maybe stay at 3 during the day and do zero at night as a transition. I do know that I won't be quitting completely for a while because I've bought too much stuff that I haven't even used yet!
Plus, I still haven't found myself vaping any less.I went from 24 to 18 to 12 easy. At 6 it wasn't really doing it for me, so I went back to 12. That's really not that much nic anyway.

An ultra light cigarette is in the 12mg nic range, and considering you only absorb maybe 30-50% of the nic vaping that you would smoking, 3mg nic is fairly insignificant.
Oh yeah, that step from 12 on down was a lot worse. I just kept workin' it. Mixing the low and the high and alternating between the 3 strengths and on downward. Now, if I do 12 mg it makes my eyelashes curl. Onward and downward.
The process was kind of the same for me. I started at 18 mg and went to 12 mg in just about two weeks. I found that I was vaping too much for that nic level (I was getting nic sick). I stayed at 12 for another month or so and just lost my tolerance for vaping at that level too so bumped down to 6 mg. I was at 6 mg for a couple of months and thought it was time to drop to zero. Oh, yeah, I tried jumping on down to 0 a few weeks ago. Uh, uh...no way, went back to 6/8 with an occasional 12 after that. Now, I can't take 12. Really like 6 but am working between the 3 and 6. Once in awhile I will do 0 to test. Not there yet.

In the words of Martha Stewart...It's A Good Thing! We'll get there someday...it's a journey. I'm content where I am right now. I've learned not to try to force the issue because I don't want to relapse. I'd rather vape for the rest of my life than ever smoke again.
if there is such a thing as saving money where vaping is concerned
True dat. I quit cold turkey, stayed off ciggies for 8 years, then one day.....and now almost 10 years later...at least there is vaping to fall back on. Wish it was there when I relapsed.
I literally white-knuckled my way through them. I just thought that I would rather die from smoking than have to live the rest of my life like that and I started smoking again. What a hateful insidious addiction that is!Anyone using the mopheads? I've added that to my cart too, along with the replaceable head thingy. I'm always trying new stuff, and this seems to be almost rebuildable and should save money?if there is such a thing as saving money where vaping is concerned

This is the strangest thing about vaping for me, I have no desire to drink alcohol. And I was definitely a drinker. Beer, wine, Wild Turkey. In over three months of vaping, I've only had one pint of WT, and a six pack of beer, early on. That is like a record. I wonder why?In the words of Martha Stewart...It's A Good Thing!
The longest I ever quit before this was for three months and that was via cold turkey too. Funny really, out of all the methods I used to try to quit before vaping, cold turkey was the only one that got me three months. HOWEVER - they were the worst three months of my life!I literally white-knuckled my way through them.
