Does anyone know how long you should steep Gandalf to get it to the sweet spot? I've done about 5 days so far. Is two weeks best?

Well I see a variety of responses. My personal preference is two weeks. I notice no improvement after that. I do not like it at all before a week. I recommend you store an extra 30 day supply so as not to pressure yourself to stop the steep too soon!

So far my juices from HHV are just mediocre. I have Gandalf, Pirate's Booty, Shadowfax, Dark Horse, and Vanilla Dream. I'll reserve my final judgement until they've steeped for a bit though. I didn't like Casablanca from BWB at first either, but after steeping for a month it became fantastic.

What I'm getting from Gandalf is an underlying perfume taste which I despise. It has potential if that perfume taste goes away though. I'm hoping and praying it goes away. The other tobacco's are ok but very similar. Vanilla Dream just doesn't have enough flavor and sweetness. With all these juices I've found that I have to keep my atomizer very wet or I get a cardboard taste on the exhale (I'm using a phoenix rebuildable with mesh wick on a zmax). It's not very offensive, just a little annoying.

My experience was similar with Gandalf and Shadowfax. I had heard so many good things that I ordered a small bottle of each. I tried to like them, but I couldn't so I finally thew them in the "never to be vaped" drawer. They stayed there for about a month. A few days ago, I pulled the Gandalf back out and, to my surprise, it was WONDERFUL. After a full day of vaping Gandolf, I ordered another bottle. I'm out of Gandalf and I'm finishing off the bottle of Shadowfax right now. The Shadowfax is good, but not as good as Gandalf to me.

Steeping is imperative with these juices!!! My new bottle of Gandalf should be here in a couple of days and my plan is to pop the top and let it sit for at least 2 weeks. I don't know what I'm going to do until then... None of my other juices even compare at this point.

Thanks for giving me hope.

How's that work?

Someone starts the story with two words (can be more or less), then the next person adds to it and so on.It would look kinda like this.

A man

Then you add something

A man
walked into

Then the next poster

A man
walked into
a pirate

I'm getting the idea I really need to steep these juices when they come, i've always left the cap off on the first day, then putting the cap back on and letting it steep in darkness for a couple days, is it ok for you to leave the top off for so long ? I'm sure that would help with getting rid of any perfume taste ?

I've steeped some of my juices for 2 weeks with no cap or dripper. I've never had a problem. My first bottle of Gandolf steeped without a cap or dripper for about 10 days, then in a dark cabinet with the cap on for about 3 weeks. Then magic happened. :)

What is the general time line for an hhv order to ship? My sample pack shipped next day after I ordered it but I ordered a couple 30ml bottles last Thursday and they have not shipped yet.

I believe their web site says, 2-5 days to process orders. Shipping depends on where you're ordering from - mine take around 14-16 days to get here in Bangkok.

Samples are made in large batches ahead of time and ship faster because they can just pull them off a shelf. Bigger bottles are hand mixed and you have to wait your turn. The born on date is almost always the same as your ship date. 4 days (business days) is pretty typical lately from ordering to shipping, so odds are yours will ship out today or tomorrow.

About 5 business days from order to ship date. HHV has gotten very popular, and rightfully so, and have more and more new people falling in love with her juices. I now plan ahead so that they are well steeped before I need them. :)
