It is so strange that our state has been covered up in rain for days, but it seems my town has an invisible barrier around it not letting any rain in. I've only had a couple of small showers here. It's like the radar shows this big rain storm coming, and it dissipates before reaching me or splits to go on either side. Very strange indeed.

We get that a lot here too. Storms will split and seemingly go around our area for no apparent reason. But not always.
Good Morning Beckers! Oh my goodness - I went to Santa Monica and found a pub that did great ploughman's lunch and fish n chips. They also had a small store of English foods in there. Would that happen to be the same one? And yes my sloth impression was spot on for sleeping, though I didn't look nearly as cute - probably had my mouth hanging open and snoring fit to rattle the rafters. lol. How's that foot doing, resident dancing sunshine girl?

DJ American J and Hula have me craving (wrongly-teased) English grub so much that I have to find my way to my favorite pub in Santa Monica this weekend. No one in all of history has made better Yorkshire pudding than my grandma did, but, believe it ir not, this place actually makes incredible gluten-free sausage rolls

Might have been one and the same, Hula. The one that has the good sausage rolls is Ye Olde Kings Head, and they do sell some English foods in there, as well, but there are a WHOLE BUNCH of pubs right in that area (around 2nd Street), and many of them sell some painfully overpriced goods (but the food on the menu is quite reasonably priced). I've learned that they all do different dishes well and not so well. But all the people who work at Ye Olde Kings Head are British (even the bus boys
!), and they really are SO much fun. They are why I go there more than any of the other pubs. Well, those sausage rolls, too
... My foot doesn't like to be walked on quite as much as I wish it did, but it's getting better. I have PT on Monday. Hope you get to put more finishing touches on the sloth impression this weekend. Seems you get home from work really late in the evenings (and, yes, I am accounting for the 3 hour difference when I say that).

YES! That's the One! Went to Santa Monica on that same honeymoon trip to the Queen Mary and Disneyland. Such fun! Sorry to hear about the foot, but I guess they didn't put it in a cast to begin with just for grins, and the healing process still continues now the new support has been applied and the cast taken off. I'm lucky where I work, and love it but by the time I get home, do the workout, have a bath after the workout feed cat, feed fish, clean kitchen (hubby cooks much better than I, so I'm very lucky there,lol) it is getting on to the end of evening. I wonder if I can do a sloth impression and sleep walk my way round the apartment with a duster at the same time?....

I just learned the other day that an ex of mine landed a job at San Francisco's Gary Danko (very ooh la la). My goodness, that boy could cook. Maybe I was rash with that decision... The heat is really making my juices disgusting quickly. Anyone else having that issue? I've been careful about not leaving my stuff in hot places, but after 1-2 days everything turns black and tastes like crap.

Good Evening Army, three more thunderstorms today. Gives a whole new meaning to 'training weather pattern', as in a freight-train type series of one storm after the other. We've been in that pattern for what seems to be over a week now. Mamaw did take that big ol' basket of beans she picked yesterday, clean 'em down and slow cooked them all afternoon with a Ham bone. Add fried summer squash and some leftover baby back ribs..... Keep your fancy restaurants, I'll just keep gettin' fat on Mamaw's home cooking

, I plan to make the meetings, but this Thursday night is my last night in my Cisco ICND 2 class so that means exam night. This is my last night class so i will be at the other meetings coming up.If I finish my exam early and can get home I will join, but yeah I want to make sure I pass this class. It's not the certification exam but i need to pass this class in order to get a voucher to take the exam with out paying more out of my pocket.
I'm home with a fresh tank of DF and very content! Dumped what was still in the tank. 2 more days of work to go.
Pawpaw we had that nasty nonstop rain earlier this year and it gets old fast...hope you have a sunny day tomorrow. April I had a tank pretty much drain itself in my purse today from the heat...but grandma rode a camel with her little gal at the zoo. I am having a magical weekend and wish you all the same

April, I find that I just have to vape more to keep the stuff in the tank from going bad in the heat, although our heat here is nothing compared to you all out there on the devil's beach...
Papaw, we have also had the torrential downpours here for about 4 days now. I have learned that what my phone calls "light rain" means that if it ever says "heavy rain" I'll likely be in the middle of a river in the streets...Noah-style.
Hope that everyone has a fantastic, Blessed Sunday full of happiness and great vapes.
