To make up for no super multipost yesterday:
So today marks my 11th smoke free month! I'm coming up on a year and it's going fast!

:toast:  :w00t:   :thumb: :headbang:

:rickroll: :rickroll: :rickroll:

Congrats RJ, two more months till my quit anniversary.

Jenny, I do hope you get it sorted out!

Well, the house is quiet. Family have left and Mr. Robin is out also. He is taking his mom to the train station in Kissimmee. Laundry is getting laundered (bedding and towels). Toys are put away until the next visit <sigh>. I have Mixed feelings right now.

Enjoy the peace and quiet, don't dwell on why it so quiet. Hugs, {{Robin}}

I'm going to be cleaning over at MIL's house while she is gone. I intend to take full advantage of the pool while there

There ya go!!! Almost as good as a massage.

Robin.. my mom cries.. balls.. every time I leave her house in Florida with the girls. She's gotten better over the years. I wish we had lived closer to her while they were growing up. It makes me sad too.

That's one of the biggest regrets I have for living over here for so long, Mom & Dad not being there to share in the growth of my daughter. My sister made up for that though - she has two girls and lives close by.

I lived with my Mom the last month of her life. She asked me to and I was glad to do it. :)

My nest younger brother has lived at Mom & Dad's since he got out of the service. Kind of following in our uncle's footsteps who lived with Grandma after his divorce. Myself, two weeks after we moved in to this house, a flatbed tuck pulled up full of furniture and stated unloading it. I asked Mamma Chak what was up and she said, "Oh, didn't I tell you? Mom is coming to live with us."

I have thoroughly enjoyed my day off. Refilled tanks, did laundry, read my book. We have a severe thunderstorm watch in effect.. I hope it hits us hard!

I totally know the felling, April. Just before the storm, the air feels so thick you can cut it with a knife.
Good time to get the housework done.

So sad :(

They had the memorial today (or was it yesterday). They were all so young. Small babies, some with pregnant wives. Now those poor young widows have to go it alone with those little babies.

Good evening.. Robin I'm sure the house is quiet but you are lucky they could come for the visit. It would be hard for me to live that far away but the kids need to live their lives and I'm just along for the ride. April we had so much rain and flooding earlier this year now we're getting dry as a bone..really need a good rain. I'm sure the memorial service was very hard today...it's a sad situation. I would assume the firefighter family is much like a military family and really help each other out. One of our classmates was killed in the Black Hawk Down situation and his wife and boys never did move back home to Iowa..she had a lot of help and support from the military friends.

Ugh not the start I was looking for tonight. I told the janitor that locked me out last week to please not close any of the doors that I have propped open. His response was "you'll be lucky if I don't kick your punk ..." lmao

I've boxed and fought mma most of my life and I'm never one to back down from a challenge. Luckily nothing came of it and the janitor apologized when he realized I wasn't messing around. What's with all the kooks that come out on the graveyard shift??

Definition of MANGE

: any of various persistent contagious skin diseases marked especially by eczematous inflammation and loss of hair, affecting domestic animals or sometimes humans, and caused by a minute parasitic mite — compare sarcoptic mange

Mange - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

You keep using that word, I don't think it means what you think it means. Merely being a bit tussled or messy does not equate to mangy. I am happy to educate you on hair terms. I understand that it has been some time since you have grown any.

Sigh!!

mangy

Main Entry: mangy  [meyn-jee]

Part of Speech: adjective

Definition: scruffy, rough, bedraggled

Synonyms: decrepit, dirty, impoverished, indigent, mean, moth-eaten, poor, ragtag, shabby, shoddy, sick, sleazy*, squalid, tattered, badly groomed, frowzy, messy, ragged, run-down, seedy, slovenly, tacky*, tattered, threadbare, ungroomed, unkempt, untidy

Antonyms: kempt, neat

I know you are looking at the word from a literal sense, while I may merely be applying it synonymously.

Happy Hump Day to the personal cloud-makers of the Army:)!

Calpine_Geysers.jpg

Jumping the gun a bit on the west coast wishing you all a good morning because of an early Wednesday doc appt.. I taught my class at the church rec room for the first time and then went to that pub in Santa Monica (yummier than I'd even remembered - thank you for the idea, Frantic/Skelator/DJ American J and Hula), so I'm plenty late for my catch-up. This new gig is a far cry from being back in the classroom, but it felt great to get closer to it. They even have an old-fashioned chalkboard, which I love. Plus, it already looks like I may be tutoring a couple of my new students' grandkids soon.
Papaw, I'm just so sorry to hear about your wife. But I'm sure hoping she finds something that makes her much happier than that gig ever did (and with a much better work atmosphere)!
Speaking of which, love how much you came out on top with your own past job drama, Hula:thumb:!
Those three baby pictures from this catch-up were just so adorable, Iowa Gal and RJ! Such wonderful additions lately for three Army families:closedeyes:!
Congrats on 11 smoke-free months, RJ:toast:! I loved hearing about your son's basement daydreams:laugh:! Shows how much he adores you.
Hope you get a good soaking, April! And Sadie's sentiments about sticking with you show what kind of mom you are, too! How long will your girls be up in Washington?
Also hope Pappy somehow senses you're asking after him, General. You're a good friend, and it was moving to hear what a great son you were, too:closedeyes:.
Enjoy that pool at your MIL's, Robin:2cool:. I'm so glad that this family visit was so satisfying. Man, it sounds like your family is absolutely brimming full of love for one another:closedeyes:!
Another :toast: to CT on his great new adventure!
Yeah right about the wrinkles you mentioned, Bridget:rolleyes:; you're beautiful! Welcome home, and have a GREAT first day at the new job! I just know you'll make friends with everyone there in record time and, of course, enjoy the shorter commute.
How had I not remembered that your MIL lives with you, Chak? (Does she still?) You must've said it before. Hope your relationship with her is like the one Robin has with her MIL, and NOT like the kind from the stereotype:?:.
For the record, Mr. Scarycamera, I've gotta say that I don't think the Lion's mangy one bit; he's sporting that fetching tousled bedhead look:2cool:! When is Bella due?? I can't wait for those pics...hoping for a big Bella/Diesel photo cuteness smackdown (Slim has set a seriously high bar)! And, again, I loved your Mexico shots:thumb:! Super that both you and Bridget had ball south of the border:D!
Thankfully, it doesn't sound like your much-beloved oldest cub will be going so far that you won't get to visit your missing limb when you need to, Lion. I'll not say anything about the coeds that'll come with those visits to see him...trust I can leave that to you:laugh:!
Oh, boy, if that's what this janitor looks like, I'd definitely keep my eye on him if I were you, Slim:p. Maybe more a character than any kinda menace...right:?:? Diesel's got one tough daddy, and it's cool that it actually felt good returning to work, even if this night shift does suck.
Continued strength to 73; hope to hear from him soon.
All my best to MrPicC, Ice, gt, biv, Burly, Dante, Chimps, and ALL the rest of the Army (gotta leave the more thorough posts to Chak, the napping Master of the Multi-Quote)!

Wonderful Wednesday vapes to all :vapor:!

Becky, that is EXACTLY what he looked like haha

I should have just brushed his comment off but that is something I've never been very good at. I definitely need to work on it lol

I think he might not be all there mentally
After the near altercation he kept coming up to me and apologizing then he would add some weird story. One of them he said when he was in high school he was the #1 rated quarterback in the country and he could throw perfect spirals from both arms lol then he broke his elbow, collar bone, 6 ribs and both of his knees and could never play again

He did act out a pass from the shotgun formation, at my request :) if there's anything I'm sure of in this world, it's that this guy has never thrown a football in his life!

That's enough rambling from me, I'm lacking sleep and am a little loopy

Hope everyone has a great humpday!!!

Tim to get horizontal for a few hours

So VCU is too close to home, huh? :)

That is actually his back up school #2, so he could end up there theoretically. But I think it would be best for him to go somewhere out of town. I graduated from VCU, and it has a very good Business School, but I think he can do better.

I think you're right Becky, I should perhaps retract and stop my ribbing of our Leonine friend. Done! stopped.. I hope! :)

Bella is due this Friday or Saturday. Both the girls are home this week and they were hoping to have Bella here sooner, but the Breeder will not let her go until she is atleast 8 weeks old, which is tomorrow night. Don't know what the extra day or two difference will make, but so be it. I've asked them to be patient, and so far it seems to be working.

I'll do my best to match the bar that Slim and Diesel have set. I've been enjoying watching the updates on Diesel. :D
