Oh my goodness Pawpaw! You have had a bad week. Stay strong for your family, they are lucky to have you!

My Lord and Creator will not place anything upon me that I cannot endure with His Guidance. Even when I take on too much, He can direct me toward calmer waters.
Faith and Patience, Patience and Faith.

Thanks Chak! Ill give that a try. :)

Today he has been pretty good so far. You can tell that he knows he did wrong yesterday. He's being very calm with me and giving lots of kisses. Hopefully he learned his lesson

They do learn eventually, but it takes patients and persistence. Another method was to use a rolled up newspaper and a quick swat to the bottom. The rolled paper doesn't hurt so much, but it makes a load noise which startles them.

Once when we went on vacation, I let my friend look after Captain for a week - I thought it'd be ok since had gotten Cap's sister from the same litter. They were near fully grown by this time. After we returned, every time I reprimanded him he'd start to growl, not bearing his teeth, just growling when I told him he was being a bad dog. "Captain Broadbeam! Don't you dare growl at me!", I'd say wagging my finger at him. Then he'd change the tone of his voice to more of a muffled rowrow-reow, as if he was talking back to me. I'd tell him to stop it! He'd kind of whimper and finally stop.

Well, I found out that while we were on vacation, my friend also had to reprimand the dog, but instead of the method I used, he actually punched my dog in the face! It was all I could to not to reciprocate, but I did let him know I wasn't please with the way he handled the situation.

Offensive : A Football formation for the team with possession of the ball.
Congrats on two years GT ! and also for one year Dante ! :toast:
Dog Training: Newspapers and magazines make more noise than pain, but a good slap with either catches their attention. Also remember that a dog's bite works from the bottom jaw. If he tries to bite again shove the outer edge or your hand into the back of his mouth, palm down, and firmly grab and hold his bottom jaw down and back. His initial reaction will be to try to twist away, but once he realizes you have him firmly he will go 'Beta' and relax his entire body. Remember, he is a male and will try to assume 'Alpha' status. It's up to you to prove him wrong. It is said lifting him by the flesh on the back of his neck also works as that's how Mother Dogs deal with pups but I've always thought that would be painful once the pup reaches a certain weight.
Just got back from two-night to Ohio and my family on edge over possible medical conditions involving my 34 year old Son and another concerning my 32 year old baby girl. Me personally, I just ran 2700 miles in four days and I just want an old man nap....

Same method I used on our dogs, Papaw. You get their bottom jaw pinned down and they can't do much. :toast:
It's also a good way to get them to release grip on an item the have in their mouth. Grab the bottom jaw and gently increase pressure till they let go.

PS, how's Mamaw and the kids doing, better I hope?

Looking forward to the weekend and thought I'd share something really pathetic - I'll be working from home Monday off Tuesday and working from home Wednesday because Tuesday I'm having a polypectomy - and I'm looking forward to the time off

That, my friends is sad. LOLOL

I won't ask where the polyp is, but it doesn't sound like fun wherever it is. Just have as much fun on the weekend as you can to make up for it.

Everybody shush..the little one fell asleep. She was playing with me, and fell asleep with her head sideways on my leg and one paw wrapped around my calf. :)

I let her stay there until she was in a deep sleep and have just relocated her to her crate. She's still sleeping..so tread lightly!

We're all already very much in love with her. :)

She sure is a cutie-pie! Looks like your daughter is in 7th heaven, too. :D

LOL - all colors are great, but there seems to be no bright colors any more for accent pieces. And even the colors that are meant to be bright like yellow look like they've been dulled down with a blob of black paint in the mix at some point. On the other hand, I love to work out because it's the one place I can wear orange yellow and green at the same time so maybe I just like Loud accents!

That would also go well at Walmart's, Hula... ;) But you'd have to put on about 50 lbs. :D

Oh, and I made those euro shams and bedskirt :)

Dang, I didn't mean for the pic to be ginormous..

Looks nice, and the pic takes up the whole window on my screen. :2cool:

EDIT: Need to read proper; the pic is just the right size, too small and we wouldn't see the colors well.
