Okay, okay so the cone of shame never really is a cone of happiness, but sweet Diesel will be rid of it soon enough, Slim, and I can promise he'll hold no grudge about those lousy, but necessary, snip snips he got, either! Glad that your vet agreed to do both procedures at once. Our vet drove me batty having to do everything precisely on his schedule, but he's my mom's boss' son, and she's insisted we stick with him. Still working on her with that one, as he really is a tool. So glad you got to see your dearly beloved niece and nephew to offset the bummer of Diesel's rough weekend and missing the vape expo.
Chak, I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. So she's back home with you now? Unfortunately, I, too, have too much experience with relatives with dementia - again, hats off to you, Chak, for taking on all the added stress and responsibility of caring for her in your home all these years; and, jfrich, I have SO much respect for your wife in her chosen profession!

How's it goin Chak? I got a full night of 3 hrs sleep lol poor little guy was up crying all night.
The 3 of us had a slumber party out in the living room so he wouldn't have to sleep by himself. I had to buy a huge crate so that the cone would fit and it was too big for the bedroom
Hopefully the pain starts to ease up for him soon otherwise it's going to be a really long 10 days

Thanks Becky, I feel your pain about the vet. I really can't stand mine either. They are part of PetSmart, Banfield Pet Hospital. They are a bunch of money hungry .......s lol as soon as his puppy plan expires ill be changing vets. My Aunt works for a really good vet but she is pretty far away. As long as he doesn't have too many issues I won't worry about the drive

Haha yeah, been stocking up for a while. I was doing real well at 12mg and vaping with Nova tanks mainly. Only had trouble when I dropped down to 6mg.
Went to see my Grandma in the hospital yesterday evening. I think she will be 84 in November of this year. She has some blockages in her heart, but with her current health conditions - diabetes and obesity, I don't think she is a candidate for surgery. She is pretty coherent, although she gets life events mixed up timewise. My cousin tells me they are planning to let her go home and live out the rest of her life the way she pleases. I don't think it will be long. It's sad, but she is ready to be with my Grandpa, Dad, and Uncle on the other side. My Aunt is also suffering from emphysema and my Grandma wants to go before another of her children does. I pray I don't outlive my children. We had a good visit, she loves that we 'have done well for ourselves' and my chicken keeping surprised and impressed her. Didn't mean to be the downer of today, as Grandma knows she's going to meet the Lord soon. Happy Sunday all, hug your loved ones.

Good morning! This is gonna be a good week for me. Vacation day tomorrow and getting son registered for school. My one year vapeversary and quitversary is on Friday the 9th. (One year on ECF is on the 24th. And I break even on the 28th). And tomorrow (or as soon as they book my last payment) I will be paying off my son's pre-paid college tuition in full and saving over a $1000 for early pay off. I've been making a monthly payment on that since he was born (13.5 years) and it was supposed to extend until he graduated but I've saved enough to pay it off. Just makes me emotional and happy all at the same time! Just the worry and love and doing it all alone and the sacrifice and lost sleep and gray hair just makes me emotional. His future is my priority and it just makes me so happy that I can give him this gift like my parents gave me. My life goals are working out finally. House will be paid off in under 5 years and maybe sooner if I can keep it up. And yes I will still be buying Great Value coffee and thrift store shopping. I can't quit crying and smiling all at the same time!! Weird...... And now that I'm not smoking I plan on being around longer to help out with my future grandchildren.
This is a HUGE and meaningful week..............

So anyway, I hope everyone has had a good weekend. Work has kept me quite busy and cleaning up old business has also. Its a pretty day and I am not doing too much (now that I have replaced the bathroom fan in my boys bathroom, changed the oil on my car, and cleaned up the back deck).
