Hear hear! I won't win any awards but I love wearing ankle boots with multiple straps on them. Kinda stylish. :D Congrats on getting a handle on a new song Robin!

Foot fetishes are highly overrated. Unless collecting high heels are a fetish, then I must confess to having one.

You get that Dad time in, and we'll be right here when you want to chat and have the time. (and you have great taste btw....) :D

Just a quick hello. Let's just say it's been a very long and stressful weekend...but things are turning around today and I'm so happy. I certainly realize we have a long road ahead of us but for now looks like we might just have a little more time to share with my dad and really appreciate that. I need to get my hiney off the pc and go to bed early as I haven't had much sleep through the weekend and after today might actually rest well. I try to keep up with reading and miss just hanging out but hopefully will have more time for that again soon. One lesson I've learned this weekend..gotta order one bottle of 18mg for these stressful times and I'm thinking perhaps the Huntsman would be the juice to do the trick:laugh:

I was just catching up with this "Fly Lady" cleaning routine. Holy Mole! Here's my suggestion - paint one wall white and then look at how grungy the rest of the place is. You'll never rest until you've repainted everything, washed everything, and tossed a ton of stuff out the door for the sally army etc etc etc.

Just checking in to say Hi .....I'm STILL waiting for the draft audit report, man oh man, ain't no-one had an audit like the one I went through. I'm going to tell the auditors that next time they come in, they can tell me which 3 pieces of paper they DON'T need, I'll remove them and then go on vacation while they play in my office for 2-3 weeks. Hmph.

And needless to say....I'm still painting...and cleaning...and painting...and.....

Good morning Army. A thread that was started has me remembering events on 9/11. The memories are still as fresh as when the events unfolded that day.

Where were you and what were you doing?

Hula, with such the time difference, the events happened while you were sleeping?

Sending a prayer to those who lost loved ones and friends....

Standing in the lunch-room at work, making my second cup of coffee of the morning. There were 2 other people there at the time, having their breakfast. The lunch room filled up as events unfolded and the shock and disbelief was definitely something I will never forget. :(

I was doing a second rough (new construction plumbing) on a 3 bath house in Riverview Fl. Subdivision called Moss Creek. The developer had not gotten power into the division yet, so we were running off of generators. I had just bought a brand new Dewalt jobsite radio, and I listened to it on the Bubba The Love Sponge show. Ole Brent Hatley started yelling immediately, "This is the work of Al Queda...." I spent the next 2 hours calling family in Connecticut making sure that everyone was away from NYC because some of them do a lot of business there. 7 years later, my dads shop recieved reclaimed steel from Ground Zero to build a memorial for 3 Connecticut firefighters that were lost in the aftermath. I still can't believe its been so long...

My dad's work...

That day is vivid in my memory as well. My work did not close so we only got updates as clients came in. I remember finally getting home and seeing the unimaginable scenes. It looked like I was watching scenes from another country, not ours. I cried for those people in the planes, then I cried for those in the buildings. Then I cried with the ones who lost loved ones and friends.

I visited the site sometime after the tragedy. I cried looking at all the pictures attached to the fencing. There were so many. Each one had its own story. Each one had someone that loved and lost a friend, spouse, relative. I still cry remembering.

The skies were so blue that day. The silence in them was so very eerie.

Great post General! Only one I read tonight.

Got home from work at 6:15 PM, had a plate of chicken nachos and a can of beer; than sat back to vape a bit. Next thing I know it's 10:30 PM. Mrs. Chak must be sleepin' too, as I haven't seen or heard from her since dinner.

Got to love those old man naps!

I did manage to get a couple of T3 coils cleaned.

Good night, 'n' God Bless!

EDIT: Holly Toledo! Talk about spaced... I totally forgot what date it was yesterday. That day we were about to go to sleep and my MIL came knocked on the door and told us to turn on the news. We had school the next morning and all the foreign (and Thai) teachers were abuzz with the news - many of our staff are from that area and were worried sick about family they couldn't reach.

That's no lie!!!! GT is no fruit vaper either but really likes Parrothead. Have you tried that one yet? I know MP likes Bah-In...at least he used to.

Good luck with Dad IA. My neighbor's elderly father has been a mess for the last year and they are nursing him along every day. But they say he is mean as ever so that's a good sign. :)

I'll vouch for Parrothead too; it was kind of mild at first but after a month of vaping it woke up and smacked me full of flavor!

I've been a tad busy rallying people to get on board with a World/National Vaping Day idea a couple of people and I came up with.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...orld-national-vaping-day-what-your-plans.html

I try to keep my activism stuff off this thread. But this has been keeping me busy. And I've managed to get really familiar with a new song today. :)

Whew! Long day today.

I like the idea, Robin and I'll try to get something out to somebody.

That's the last week we have before the final exams start on the 25th, so I'm gonna be super busy getting all the loose ends tied up for the fall break at the end of the month. :(

Yes I was Robin. When I woke and was getting cleaned up for work I had the local KSSK Perry & Price show on the radio. They were going on and on about something, but for quite some time, I just couldn't process it. I mean, I heard what they were saying, but it wasn't going into my head as it was so horrifying and outrageous. Then I turned the TV on to news networks and that's when I saw what had taken place. As I'm English and maybe a little more used to hearing about such atrocities in England, Ireland and continental Europe didn't soften the impact of this one at all.

9/11 I was at Disney World with Chloe. They closed the park and handed out free passes by the handfuls.

That Thanksgiving I was in CT for a HS reunion and one of my friends lived in an apartment building on Wall St, went into to the city with hi
to his rooftop deck and looked down onto ground zero as they were cleaning it up. I have pictures somewhere. Very sad.

On 911 I was at the DMV out by Ellington Field getting my license renewed. There was a TV in the waiting area broadcasting the news live. I'm not sure that I or anyone else there fully comprehended what was happening. The full import didn't hit me till later at work. A terrible day.

Saw them break in on the news right after the first plane went in. I thought it was terrorism or a haywire pilot who lost his mind right from the get go when I saw the size of the hole in the side of the building. Intentional to be sure. Large jets do not have accidents like that. Makes you want to raise Bin Laden from the dead so you can kill him again (after torturing him for a few years).
