Bridget.. I was wondering how the new job was going. Glad it's still a nicer fit for you and the family.

This fly lady thing... It's a bit much, I agree, but I do like the 15 min challenge in the different zones. I've been on and off it for over 10 yrs, I've pretty much got it down :). Before the holidays she does some cool stuff.

I finally went back to Bikram yoga today (after my ankle injury), I had to modify a few poses to avoid pain, but overall it went well.

Making cookies and vaping my DF.

Forecast HOT and Mostly Sunny! ;)

Glad to hear the new job suits you.

Trust me, it is a short ride raising your sons. You don't wanna miss anything!

I don't want to miss anything with girls either. I work the crappiest schedule during the school year, tues, thurs and sat. But this way I'm home every other night for the dinner/homework etc... And one weekend day. I should financially pick up overtime more often, but I like being home with them. I can work OT when they are not home anymore.

I know.. It's going by so quickly. Kal had a run-in with another boy at school yesterday. It's homecoming week and yesterday was Duck Dynasty day. Kal dressed in full camo, face paint and all. Other kid made fun of him for it, and wants to fight. Kal would normally step right up to that challenge but will not because of football. I'm proud of him for making football a priority, but man, I really want him to KO that kid.. It's also tough because Dad is a teacher, and encouraging kids to fight is not smiled upon.. But, sometimes they gotta stand up for themselves, let others know they will not be bullied and teased.

Screw football. I woulda tore into the punk! :)

How's your back Dusty?

It's still holding me up, even if I can't swing a club yet.

Went for a visit to my Dr. today who I had not seen since Feb. 2011. :) Reviewed blood work etc that was done around 2 months ago, and got the all clear.

Not missing golf so much because I am getting other stuff done and its been pretty cold in the mornings..

Thank you for asking.. :)

I waffle back and forth on the Fly Lady stuff. I mean I'm a clean freak in some ways, but in others I am lazy. But I tend to like clean a room from top to bottom and not stop until I'm finished so the 15 minute thing bugs me. But I see the point in keeping things up in small squirts of time. I'm still waffling. I was too tired to do anything last night. See that's the thing with me...I love a perfectly clean home but I'm struggling with energy lately. I'm a seasonal cleaner. My kitchen gets spotless for my son's birthday party each March. The entire house is cleaned for Christmas. The most valuable thing for me is keeping my sink spotless and clear, and laying out everything for the next day at night. So I'm taking certain aspects of Fly Lady and using them. The 25 e-mails a day have got to stop though. Driving me nutty!

All this talk of healthy stuff like yoga and running is making me feel bad. I had a bowl of butter pecan ice cream and a handful of chips for dinner.

But I'm tired. Worked all day with these impossible egotistical men I work with, and then did a grocery run at Walmart.

But my day wasn't all bad...I got another 3% raise on top of the huge one I got the other day. :toast: My female engineer coworker should threaten to sue for discrimination more often so we can get more raises because that is the ONLY reason we are getting raises. (she did sue a few years ago and won a CHUNK of money...make no mistake discrimination is alive and well) I am ball-less....skeered to do stuff like that. But I wuv her for doing it.

By George I think that deserves a drink. :p BRB.... I swear, retirement can't get here fast enough. My ....'s gonna be gone from that place so fast their heads will spin off.

Screw football. I woulda tore into the punk! :)

I did exactly that. I didn't get kicked off the football team, but my dad made me quit. How about them apples? Never did make sense to me, especially since I had previously heard my dad threaten to stick the principal's head in the toilet for paddling my brother.

I figured out later my dad just wanted me around after school to work on the farm. Oh well, that was more important than football anyway.

I'll enjoy my run more when I get those new shoes tomorrow. Love Zappos, 1 day delivery. The knees are aching, and I know it's just because my shoes are worn out.

The harassment from the pothead kid continued today. Kal plans to talk to his coach about it tomorrow, and I'm sure DH will be involved.

I hope it works out. The only thing my son has ever done is one day in after school care when he was in elementary school this snot nosed little crumb catcher kid kept getting in my son's seat. The teachers told me my son got loud and promptly picked up this little kid like a rag doll and plopped him in his own seat. The teachers told me they "forgot where they put the disciplinary forms" and winked at me as they giggled behind their hands. They loved my son. They said they had never seen my gentle giant of a son so mad.

Hell, I never walked away from a fight either Pap. I mighta had times I got messed up but I made sure I left my mark too. My (older, bigger) brother bashed my head in three times a day whether I needed it or not. I never felt punches. I'd never walk away from a fight and far more often than not the other guy came out worse than I would. Thanks Bro! :D

Funniest brawl I got into was when I was a freshman in high school. Some punk 8th grade bully had his buddy with him and he was gonna mess me up. Big ... mouth. Kept wanting to fight me. Hell, I ripped him off his bike and tore into his ... and had him screaming for his Mommy. The punk kept yelling at his buddy to take me out but he wouldn't. What the punk didn't know was I was friends with his friend too. :)

I was bullied by this girl in my class for years. One day in 8th grade I had enough. I threw my books down and put my fists up and started going after her when the teacher walked in the classroom. I was going to seriously hurt that girl. She never bothered me again and we actually became friends. I think she saw it in my eyes. I'm not one for fighting...but sometimes you just have to take up for yourself. And yeah having two older brothers made me mean...and fast. :D

Similarly, had another one when I was a junior in high school. Got in a fight during a basketball game during gym class. The other guy tagged me pretty good but I still whooped his .... Later in the day, turns out, he sent one of his "Goons" after me. His goon met up with me in the stairwell and it turns out he was a party friend of mine. We laughed and the goon went back and beat the crap out of the other kid...again. :) LOL!!!
