I was bullied by this girl in my class for years. One day in 8th grade I had enough. I threw my books down and put my fists up and started going after her when the teacher walked in the classroom. I was going to seriously hurt that girl. She never bothered me again and we actually became friends. I think she saw it in my eyes. I'm not one for fighting...but sometimes you just have to take up for yourself. And yeah having two older brothers made me mean...and fast. :D

Chick fights were great!!!

Had another one when I was a sophomore. Walking with my GF down the street. A car pulls up with five seniors in it. Smoke pouring out the windows (can't make certain references on ECF). One guy gets out and he's gonna embarrass me in front of my GF and beat my .... Bad move! I ripped him up in no time and left him lay in the snow while his buddies got out and dragged him back to the car. Never could figure out why his buddies didn't come after me but they didn't. I would have been a dead man. My GF thought I was awesome. :D

Glad to hear the new job suits you.

Trust me, it is a short ride raising your sons. You don't wanna miss anything!

Let me tell ya it isn't any longer raising a daughter. ;) Seems like just yesterday I was teaching her how to ride a bike. Now she's got her own apartment!

This isn't our first go round with our boys being teased.. Kaden broke his hand last year on another boys head. We've always taught them to stick up for themselves and each other. And yes, he's friends with that boy now. Kal won't last, he'll snap too. Football or not.

Good for Kal! No one messes with a dog who shows its teeth.

I almost got into a fight in high school. It was actually at the end of summer; I was riding my 10 speed around the subdivision and this fat greaser kid in the year ahead of me drives by going the other way with his buddy in the car. They turn around and stop right in front of me, get out of the car and start accusing me of giving him the finger. I knew the guy was a jerk, but I had no beef with him, had no reason to give him the finger and I told him as much. I was still straddling my bike and he hauls of and pops me on the chin. I lost my balance and fell backwards with the bike on top of me. Got up, brushed myself off then looked daggers at the fat kid and his friend. Shook my head like "I'm not even gonna waste my time", got back on my bike and rode off.

Two or three weeks later the greaser punk meets me at school wanting to be all buddy, buddy with me and I just blew him off. I didn't need, or want to be his buddy.

. . . My (older, bigger) brother bashed my head in three times a day whether I needed it or not. . . .

Sounds familiar. My older brother was the town bada$$ in our small town. (Every small town has one.) He would roam around town looking for someone to fight. If he couldn't find anybody, he'd come home and beat ME up!

I guess that toughened me up somewhat.

Bridget.. I was wondering how the new job was going. Glad it's still a nicer fit for you and the family.

This fly lady thing... It's a bit much, I agree, but I do like the 15 min challenge in the different zones. I've been on and off it for over 10 yrs, I've pretty much got it down :). Before the holidays she does some cool stuff.

I finally went back to Bikram yoga today (after my ankle injury), I had to modify a few poses to avoid pain, but overall it went well.

Making cookies and vaping my DF.

Wow! My sister is or was a Bikram freak! I cannot even do Bikram, it's physically out of the question. I do Yin Yoga but have to modify a lot of poses and use a bolster because of my hip, lower back and neck! And running, pfffft! I'd never get physician clearance for that!

I erm, realized I ordered a juice that has some NET in it from AiV last week. So we'll see how that goes. I saw the recommendations and I think the only one I'd even try right now is Shadow, I think...Jiggy looked interesting but I don't like cherries, I have smoked on a hookah before several times. I also don't like honey...I know, I'm weird!

I waffle back and forth on the Fly Lady stuff. I mean I'm a clean freak in some ways, but in others I am lazy. But I tend to like clean a room from top to bottom and not stop until I'm finished so the 15 minute thing bugs me. But I see the point in keeping things up in small squirts of time. I'm still waffling. I was too tired to do anything last night. See that's the thing with me...I love a perfectly clean home but I'm struggling with energy lately. I'm a seasonal cleaner. My kitchen gets spotless for my son's birthday party each March. The entire house is cleaned for Christmas. The most valuable thing for me is keeping my sink spotless and clear, and laying out everything for the next day at night. So I'm taking certain aspects of Fly Lady and using them. The 25 e-mails a day have got to stop though. Driving me nutty!

Couldn't resist.

Probably the more adult way of doing it. :)

No doubt about it Pap. My bro taught me how to brawl (though it wasn't his intention). I won the last fight we ever got into. I was relentless. He was smart enough to quit when he did. :)
