I've tried the 0 nic, and the juices just tasted dead to me. Like having flat Coke that has sat out over night. Tried the menthol, high proof alcohol etc etc. Nothing fixed it. I would say if anything try a low level nic, maybe 6% and see if you want to go that route long term.

Dusty,

I don't think Leo has time for that he is trying to get the Nic out of his system for an insurance medical exam.

Even "Flat" may be better than nothing to do with his hands and blowing smoke rings and fondling his mod may help. I think he said something about 0 Nic foe a week or so.

I would think maybe something like green apple (tangy) and maybe 80/20 PG/VG may give him enough sensory stimulation to help overlook the lack of Nic at least until he can get thru his medical exam.

But he needs to be on zero for a couple of weeks because of insurance testing.

I know that you guys, I was addressing his Long Term strategy. :)

Hey... my temporary nic-free gulag that will start once my MBV (hey.. they are FAST, my main concern, sooner the better) 0 nic juices come in. Monday probably.

Now... long term, I know that one of the biggest knocks with 0 nic is that you lose a lot of the throat hit. I was wondering if adding menthol will help buffer that? I know it won't work with everything, but on flavors that it does compliment, how well does it work? I know it would be a different sensation I guess, but you still get a 'mouth feel' aspect to it.

I am telling you, faking out this premium test is a big mistake. You will be under-insured because your death benefit will be reduced if there is nicotine in your system at the time of death. If you must use this company, you should just pay the elevated premium.

I'm not so concerned with that due various reasons I won't get into here.

In any case, my end game is 0 or really low... so I am curious about how the vape is. I've never been a nic fiend, so I could take it or leave it.

I haven't tried anything menthol, or with strong cinnamon... etc... I'd like to here about anyone else's 0 nic experience.

Insurance companies are crooked. In January 2010 a 60' Red Oak Tree fell across the road directly in front of me at 4:00am on a foggy, rainy morning. Anyone who saw the remains of my F-150 was amazed I survived. The investigating Trooper, the Ambulance Crew and even the Wrecker Operator all said the same thing; "God must have plans for him" as I walked away from that accident.
Six months later I called the Nationwide Adjuster to thank him for his prompt service, and to apologize in advance for the Attorney who would be needed because of Blue Cross/ Blue Shield over failure to pay. The Nationwide Adjuster set up a three-way call and basically reamed the BC/BS Adjuster for 20 minutes, threatening their own legal action on my behalf. Finally, BC/BS relented and asked me to resubmit the Emergency Care bills, totaling about $11,000. I had already paid over $3000 out of pocket to avoid action against me by various medical representatives.
Bottom Line- I have just enough life insurance to bury me, and no more health insurance than my employer requires. Those companies WILL NOT meet their obligations ! You do not even have to give them a reason to default you/ your loved ones, they just will. If your looking for some sort of compensation for your wife/ family afterwards, be sure to set aside legal funding to attack these companies.

However, if you are serious about 0% nicotine, Those who have been around the Big Thread awhile would remember "Buggs". (as in Bunny). She vaped 100% VG, 0% Nicotine. I believe she liked HHV, Velvet Vapors and Velvet Cloud Vapers. Shame she isn't around anymore, she was an asset to the Army.
There, I'm done ranting for now.....

I agree they are always looking for angles to deny a claim. No question about it, PapawBrett!

But in this case, the buyer is actually misrepresenting himself. So when the 250,000 dollar claim comes in, you know they are gonna want to do a blood test to verify that they are paying a non-tobacco user. Not to mention that it would not be hard to trace his internet profile and see what he was up to. This would give them a legitimate reason to deny the claim, or at least prorate the benefit to what the premiums of a tobacco user would receive. It is the last thing in the world you want your beneficiaries to deal with.

EDIT:

Just saw your post, Leo. Never mind. Let this be an example then for others in this situation. Obviously you are in a unique situation where this does not apply. Sorry!

I like the way you stated your case without ranting. Maybe I should try that sometimes....

Just to correct an earlier statement;

Buggs5347 did use 100% VG, 0% nicotine, but she stayed to HHV for her juices. I found this by looking up her listing under members and scanning the last five or so pages of her postings. Kinda like walking down memory lane of the big Thread actually.

Her last post was in March 2013, where she admitted to some serious health problems. :nun:
I wish she would at least say 'Hi'. maybe bring Becky with her.....

Tangy would be a good idea...maybe even cinnamon.

Hmmm. I got a question Leo - what if you're using a nicotine patch? Does that count as smoking from an insurance point of view?
I mean, is it "nicotine" or "smoking". ( i nearly said "is it nicotine like that intrinsic in Alzheimers and Parkinsons patients medicines" - but then I realized they probably wouldn't even be eligible for a quote)

I saw Buggs green light a couple times since she left and I dropped her a PM and she never replied.
