Got the bliSS working really good now, I had to make one small mod to it.
Now I have shadowfax in it and will be filling up a new T3 with shadowfax to see how the taste changes between the 2.
Probably give them both a day to brake in a bit before I say anything.
I just wish I could smell like most people, I even plan to ask my doc about it when my knee is done but from the research I have done it looks like I am out of luck with fixing it at my age.
I will just have to be happy I can taste things as much as I do.

Before I even started vaping I wanted a genny, I was fascinated by how they worked and always wanted to try one.
Not that I have the juice of greatness or should I say juices, playing with the gennys is a lot of fun, guess that's the hot rodder in me.
Now don't get me wrong, I really like the karen t3 and they will be used all the time, the gennys are kind of a pain on the road - work they still taste better to me for the most part.

Got all the other juices from HHV that I kind of like and it will be fun to try them in a genny
That will have to wait because the next one I really do want to try is Blade Runner, I still love it in the morning.

Dubious excuses for not getting enough sleep, #74,765: I stayed up late watching "The Sound of Music", singing along to all the songs, and swooning over Christopher Plummer.

With that embarrassing confession, I bid you good night. I expect reports of serious gluttony.

It's about time for me to hit the hay, too.

It was a slow night at ECF, so I was able to cover a lot of ground catching
up on things and doing some window shopping for new toys.

AND IT'S A HAPPY TIME RIGHT NOW........

My flavor block is taking a little break so I can vape Serendipity
and taste it! Man, that stuff is sooooooooo gooooood.

On a sad note, I'm almost out. Gotta order more, but now it
has to steep when it gets here. Maybe I can taste the PBooty
and that will hold me over.

Dang, where did I leave off when I left work? This dang thread moves too fast. As bappo says, "Fasting moving thread at ECF?"

The most efficient way I've found to navigate ECF is to open ECF in a window and click on "settings" at the top right.
This will list your subscribed threads. Right click on a thread link and "open in a new tab".
This will open a tab on the first page of the thread. Then click "view first unread".
Wha-la!

Thanks Boxster, tried that but can't find where it says "view first unread". Must be too late, I'll try again in the morning. Prolly doesn't have that button 'cause I already read them all. duh.

Night folks.

I received my 7 different flavors of HHV yesterday. I figured I would try them pick out the best and order larger amount. Small problem all of them have ended up in the good pile : ) Now what? Guess I can just use them all and reorder the same : )

After a couple of weeks steeping (if they last that long), they will taste even better. And your small "problem" will be an even bigger "problem." :)

Hi folks - I made my way through a couple sample packs and am quite impressed. I got 30s of gandalf and gollum right out of the gate on top of 2 x the 4 pack of samples.

For each of the 10 flavors I tried I split the sample between my main genesis setup (DIDs) and a stardust/vivi-nova for cross reference and though I rarely use clearomizers (travel) the juices did seem to do really well on them -- in some cases, better than my genesi..."i"/plural/??? :) I have found that some flavors just don't hold up great on genesis, and further, tobac extracts gunk up coils REALLY fast/badly. Neither issues were encountered. I was really impressed with the quality of juice: flavor held up very well and wow did it ever vaporize cleanly!

Unfortunately I ran out the samples before I could decide which I liked best - argh. I was really hoping to zero in on 2 or 3 but alas, my next order will likely be a half dozen so definitely a hat-tip to the company for making things difficult -- quite the hit rate!

For reference, the flavors I liked and am familiar with: darkhorse, gandalf, dragonfire, booty, gollum, shadowfax, heavenly t. Bleeding heart, oompa and caramel cap weren't for me.

I got lucky and like gandalf and gollum quite a bit and am not dissappointed I chose them as the two 30mls I got but for my immediate next order I can wait for more of those until I confirm/kill a full bottle of each while I focus on others.

Questions:

1) I really, really enjoyed darkhorse. Could someone describe huntsman and serendipty in terms of darkhorse or the others above? I am also very familiar with the various BWB and Highbrow tobacs if that helps with reference too.

2) I also really enjoyed one of dragons fire or pirates booty but I think I have confused them and may be mixing them up. I sampled each on the same day (a semi taste-block day at that) and then further complicated things by accidentally mixing the two in the same tank to totally mess with my thoughts/flavor memory. One of the two had an interesting...hmmm.. 'tang' to it with a bit more sweetness -- was this dragonfire? IF possible could someone directly compare/contrast these two to maybe help?

3) Are there distinct tobac extract 'families' between the flavors that I am not picking up on or is everything same base? I am guessing that the same base is used then tweaked to flavor, but from my reading I think serendipity is a longer 'brew' of this same base, yes?

Any help is appreciated - thanks! Kudos to Heather and Adam for offering such a strong line of vaping goodness!

I started with 24 and 18. I never paid much attention to what mg I was vaping and never noticed a difference. This last order I went with all 12mg because when I thought about it, the samples from HHV were all 12mg and I never really noticed any change in nic needs.

It's weird, actually. I have not really gone through any withdrawals, coughing up junk or any of the nasty stuff associated with quitting the cigs. At the same time, I haven't gotten nic sick either. I chain vape constantly. I have begun to notice that I vape more like a pipe smoker because my lungs don't really like too much wet air. My inhale to lungs usually occurs during those times when I "want" more nic.

I'm just a bundle of contradictions.

Yes, but you are *our* bundle of contradictions and we luff you for it! :D

Another interesting thing I learned.

I've been having a terrible time with flavor block on a lot of juices lately.

On the news the other night there was a story about taste buds. It 'ppears that
they don't work as well in low humidity because the nostrils are dryer and don't
have as much ability to assist in tasting.

As fall rolled in, it got much less humid here, and that's probably what happened
to me.

Hard to figure why it doesn't affect all juices for me though. I can taste Torque 56
big time. Then again, I think I could taste that even if I had a mouth full of bear
droppings.

Don't care to test it, though :)

That's interesting. I haven't been able to figure out my flavor block either. I had it chalked up to being sick. (That's prolly part of it too tbh)

Ahhhh... so this "dry desert heat" might have something to do with my need to rotate flavors? When I go on vacation I really don't find the need to switch it up as often. interesting.

OMG! That makes sense. I can't settle on an all day vape because I loose the flavor after about 4 hits of anything. I currently have about 5 different clearos loaded with different juices and I just pop one off - put another one on when the flavor starts to go for me.

You could always vote "Chicago" style...vote early, vote often.

This is full of awesomeness - that is all.

  Nope haven't tried the tobacco vapes....... yet. I switch (tonight anyway) Cinful Pear, Adam's Apple with a drop of Cinful Apple and Island Dream. Drink for the evening is Disoronno neat. :)

You my friend, have fantastic taste. I love Disoronno. :D

Yep...been drinking WT101 for a long long time. Wish I had some now! Bud Light on my off nights. :p I think I'll have one of those in my frozen beer mug right now!

Gobble 'til you wobble. (I stole that one from an avatar here at ECF but I like it!)

Happy Thanksgiving Scarf, and everyone else. I'll be with family and Mom's cooking. It's nice because all I have to do is show up with my stretchy sweat pants on and pig out!

Give him the bird! Love it!

I had to get up at 6:45 am to put the bird in the oven. I miss the days when I "just showed up" for thanksgiving. Why did I say I wanted to try this again?

Dang. I knew there's be a wrench in the idea somewhere.... *sigh*

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Yep, if you've read them all, "view first unread" will be missing (unusual for this thread lol).
It will appear next to "linkback" on the line above the top post.

Hey Mozz!

1) I'm really loving Dark Horse too, but haven't tried Huntsman. It's on my next order list, but from everything I've read, it's just a more robust version of Dark Horse. Serendipity is in it's own class. For me, it chameleons itself for the first few weeks as a great pipe tobacco, and then matures into a very pleasant rich coffee tobacco (but don't think coffee-added-to-tobacco - more complex than that).

2) PB and DF are VERY similar, with DF having more sweet notes and PB having more of a rum finish. I used to have both on hand, but I realized that they are too similar, and I prefer PB. You aren't crazy - in a blind test, unless my tastebuds were in good shape, I'd have trouble distinguishing the two if they weren't steeped longer than 3 weeks.

3) Serendipity is the same base as Gandalf, but just with a longer extraction. I can't speak to the question if all of HHV's NETs are the same base, but each does have a similar taste that appears to be tweaked. It could be different tobacco blends, different finishes, or just unicorns. I really don't know!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my buddies here!

I recommend 15ml "samples", at the very least 6ml.

Huntsman is similar to Dark Horse but sweeter. Think "Sweet Grass". Hierochloe odorata - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

2) I also really enjoyed one of dragons fire or pirates booty but I think I have confused them and may be mixing them up. Dragon's Fire is the sweeter of the two.

Serendipity according to HHV is a longer extract of Gandalf, but to me has cocoa and coffee notes.
To me it is more similar to DF and PB. I love it.
