And here I freaking thought this whole time AW IMR were the recommended batteries. So what do I do? I grow a collection only to understand I assumed or read wrong somewhere. Oh well I've been using em in the SB for so long now that I'll jist keep on keeping on.
And haha NO xfoo I'm not married yet.. Not engaged yet... I'm gonna need a garage or something in the future for my crap when it gets banned from the house. I know all this but I'll still fight it to the end. :)

Plenty of people use IMR in unregulated mods successfully but they do so at risk. If you want to be safe you have options. Regardless of what you choose to do, you'll need to replace the hot spring in your SB. Those work well. Without it that battery would have likely exploded and not only ruined your device, but could have been a serious fire hazard. (1) You can buy and use a Kick. You will need to use shorter batteries but the Kick gives you wattage control and has built in short circuit protection. They are made to be used with IMR batteries. (2) Buy and use the Vape Safe. It is a reusable fuse. Its sole purpose is to protect against battery shorts and will likely save your device, batteries, and spring. (3) I lieu of the previous suggestions, if all you do is replace the hot spring, invest in protected batteries which will shut down in case of failure.

Good afternoon everyone. Hubby and I both enjoyed the concert last night but were so disappointed as the tv coverage stopped right before Sir Paul :( went to some darn WWF wrestling program....oh well it was late and probably just a sign we need to get to sleep. Another beautiful day here today...sunny and almost 50. Tonight will be spent in the kitchen baking for the weekend gatherings...

<sigh>. Someday I will have done enough reading on this board to understand all of this stuff. Thank heavens that I just have vivis and a spinner for now (along with a bunch of Volt X2's that will be taking backstage), so no chance of fire or explosions. Ignorance must be bliss, cause so far I'm happy. So far. I'm sure that'll change.

Huntsman will be wonderful!! Oh! You're referring to the others?
How long have they steeped? Cause I feel the same way. Mine are a week old. I tried them earlier this week to try the juice and I thought they were a bit light. But as I have found I will def not give up on them. Dark Horse change tremendously. Gandalf was great either way. How in another week or two they will change again hopefully.

Oh and I am at 18mg 40/60 ratio.

Order your next 6 30ml bottles now then you wont have so long to wait :D
I'm not giving up. I LOVE the flavors. I just need a serious kick in the mouth. But, I'm not going to just pitch the ones I have right now. I am going to vape them and we will see once these six 30mls are running dry where the flavor is with them.

Scarf-a-licious.... Finally comfortable with the F16, it's all full of caramel cap loveliness. Hard hard hard to be at work and not just chill out with it on my couch.

I think now that it's running well, I'll like that I won't have to mess with it for a while (it'll take forever for me to need to refill it).

Thanks again!

YAY! I am renewing my appreciation for these. Serendipity in an F16 is just blissful.

I don't know if I mentioned this tip to you: whenever the flavor seems to be diminishing, take a few strong pulls without activating the battery. You'll see tiny bubbles coming out of the holes. Fresh beautiful flavor again!

Hi MrPicC - this isn't for you but I thought I'd post it for new vapers in our thread and/or those new to lithium batterieswho may not have seen this particular thread, I'm linking to an important post about batteries. Always turn batteries off when not in use, and don't put other metal products in your pocket or bag with them (i.e. keys, coins). Good quality battery bags should be a requirement when charging too. We spend hundreds on vaping, so investing in a good quality $10 battery bag is worthwhile imo.

That hasn't been a problem since I began vaping so why stop now.
Actually my sb was in a case for 2 days. My mvp is in my pocket now. I'll let you know if it melts ;)

Xfoo. Since you so smart I assume I should also use protected in a bolt.

Correct. If you use unprotected in the Bolt, use a Kick. The Bolt has extender rings so you can use 18650 batteries in it or smaller batteries with the Kick. HHV sells one but I think it's in chrome. You can find other colors at a lot of sites.

It's a Plastic bolt so already takes 18650 and from what I hear wiring is too cheap for a kick.
It's my girls so I have to at least make sure she's using protected.

All of us started on the bottom floor. This forum is a wealth of good information easily navigated. Almost everything I know about vaping I gleaned from ECF and YouTube. I'm no guru. Far from it. I just like to be informed and when I'm curious, I ask questions or search the threads. I've only been vaping for a little over 3 months. Knowledge is power in the realm of vaping. It can save you money, frustration, and help others.
