Hi, there. Thank you for the generous reply. Well, as I searched some postings about "steeping," some people said that "to let the caps and drippers" open would cause the loss of flavor or taste of tobacco. As a newbie, I am a bit wondering which way of steeping is the best to have alll in good taste.

Ask 10 people the best way to steep and you will get 10 different answers. My info comes straight from the people who made the juice. It's also backed up with experience from the many devout HHV lovers on this thread. None of the things you describe by "some people" have occurred with the steeping method I described. Trust us. BTW, are you a her or a him and can you tell us the meaning of your name?

I see that this thread is a hybrid topic/social thread. I'm sorry the mods decided to crack down on you today. I seem to have started getting into "real" vaping at an interesting time. There's the FDA petition thing, and vaping in general seems to be at this inflection point, quickly transitioning from a relatively unknown almost counter-culture to a mainstream government-regulated thing.

to be honest it is something that varies by juice especially those that have alcohol in them -- i always have done 2 days off and have not had any problems with it

Maybe not a good idea, I was just trying to think of a way to let others know about the new place.

I didn't at first but I knew that was out of character for Bronze, so I went back and read about the whole thing :)

Sunshine, I'm sorry if I confused you. Thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt. I like your idea about the banner. Please expand your thoughts.

I don't see why we'd want to. Let people talk about what they want to talk about (so long as it's within ECF guidelines).

I could see making some sticky threads.

Like a steeping thread.

And a "post your order number when it ships" thread.

Stuff like that.

Those are good ideas. I remember having a conversation with Adam a long time ago when he was contemplating a second thread and asked what it should be about. I told him I thought it would be a good idea to start an HHV gear thread...you know, the "other" stuff HHV offers. Hell, the PV I'm sucking out of came from HHV and I was helping someone today with their mophead.

I think this was covered recently, but are the samples pre-steeped as in truly ready to vape, or even though they're aged, should the caps still be left off for a day?

Hard to answer Serendipity, er, I mean Speedy. The samples are premixed in batches. If the batches were made recently, then no they wont be steeped. If they were made weeks ago, then they will. Since there is no way of knowing when the samples premixes were made, we can't tell you if they are steeped or not. To be safe, I'd use the standard method of steeping...caps/drippers off for a day or two and then another week after that.

GT, we need a steeping stickie. I'll make it if I have to. Anyone else want to volunteer?

I think a sig linking to here would be fine with the Mods. So long as it doesn't say "Heather's Heavenly Vapes" or link to HHV directly.

Let me run it by Dusty. I know his answer already...the same one he gives me all the time. "I don't know but I'll track it down for you". :)

There you are Dusty...what say you? What can we put on our banners that direct people here while staying within the ECF rules?

Yes, it has been a hybrid thread because it started in the general eliquid forum. Just getting moved today, we now have an entire forum we can utilize. I will be curious to see if the FDA meets their deadline of April. This would not be the first time it's been delayed.

Hey I like your cat avatar. Is that your pet, IRL? I love black & white cats.

You are going to have so much fun with all that new stuff. Have you tried the Twist and T3, yet? I've been hearing mixed reviews lately on the T3's. Haven't tried them, myself. I'm a cartomizer and carto/tank vaper.

I hope you like HHV. There are several good vendors but HHV is the first one that I've found to have so many juices that I like.
Mt Baker Vendor is an excellent economy juice vendor with extremely reasonable prices, super fast service, free samples with every order. They are not the same type of vendor that HHV is, no extracted tobaccos/fruits but a ton of flavors to choose from. He's lately started to get more creative with signature mixes, too.

I've been using the twist/T3 since last night. I didn't know this at the time, but there are apparently some different T3's floating around, and I happened to get one of the bad kind (not a knockoff though, mind you).

If you're really interested in the T3 thing, look at pbuscardo's clearomizer shootout AND the follow-up when he uses one of the "bad" T3's. you can tell the difference by a couple things: bad=white lettering and 3 holes on the replaceable piece. Good=black lettering and 2 holes.

I was super disappointed, but I'm 99% sure both my provari and phiniac tank are arriving in the mail tomorrow, so how bad do I really have it? I just need some good juice now. Come on, Heather, ship already! ;)

I guess visitors can create new threads as they have questions, Bronze. I didn't realize that at first, DOH!! I think a couple of stickies might be nice. Maybe one for steeping and closed. Maybe one for a Welcome to our new home closed thread with general info.

We have to be careful on the new threads so as not to confuse people. Or posting something that is required on multiple threads. We really need to think this through.
